Though it was a rainy day, this year orienteering
was fun as always.
In Senior team we have Denis McLay
started off first, finished in 54minutes
claiming that he “went too far” and ran
out of the area. Chris Pang ran for the
House second time, improved from 40
minutes to 35 minutes, while Raymond
Khau finished in 26 minutes, the best
result in the house, and well done on
getting top 15 in senior house.
House Orienteering by Christopher Pang
Harry Wong at Swimming Sports
In Intermediate team, we have James Wong, who could have done better, but because
he stamped the stamp on the map instead of the boxes provided, he earned himself 15
penalties and getting overall time of 122 minutes, hope he will never make the same
mistake again, but good effort though. Veteran Alastair Sheard, finished in 35 minutes
with 2 penalties, which means he could get under 26 minutes within the top runners,
how unlucky. Matt Gibbs finished in 32 minutes, also well done.
James Witters and Sebastian Steinnger first time doing orienteering, not bad for their
first time, finished in 30 minutes and 42 minutes respectively, good job. Congrats on
Marzellus Salaivao excellent result, finished in 26 minutes, gaining 5th in junior house.
Also congrats to all the Juniors, coming 3rd overall in junior team and gaining House
colours
Overall we came 6th,though all of us have tried out best, we hope for better results next
year.
