at St. Luke’s School. This is the writing task in his Lesson <strong>12</strong> Test.<br />

After learning Integrated <strong>Chinese</strong> Lesson <strong>12</strong>, students were asked to write an email to a<br />

<strong>Chinese</strong> visiting student and recommend a local restaurant. This task was part <strong>of</strong> the lesson test<br />

and was completed in the class.<br />

Scenario: You recently met 王 朋 , who is a <strong>Chinese</strong> visiting student at SLS. He just arrived<br />

in the area, so he is still not familiar with the restaurants in the area. Though he already has lots <strong>of</strong><br />

中 国 朋 友 , he really wants to experience life like a local student - he didn’t come all the way from<br />

China to eat nothing but <strong>Chinese</strong> food! he has asked you to tell him about a non-<strong>Chinese</strong> restaurant<br />

in the area so that he can go try them soon.<br />
