About the Student<br />

Noor Abufares ( 阿 芙 娜 ) began studying <strong>Chinese</strong> in 7th grade and was passionate about<br />

learning the <strong>Chinese</strong> language and culture. She was the National <strong>Chinese</strong> Honor Society<br />

president and also actively involved in the <strong>Chinese</strong> Club activities at Zionsville Community High<br />

School. Noor wrote this piece during her senior year <strong>of</strong> high school.<br />
