About the Student<br />
Hannah is a heritage student. Both parents<br />
came from Taiwan. Although she could speak<br />
<strong>Chinese</strong> very well when she started our program, she<br />
could not read at all. She has been improving so<br />
much in her reading and writing. Her diligence in<br />
learning <strong>Chinese</strong> has shown on her every assignment.<br />
She always takes time to do her assignments and<br />
enjoys illustrating her stories in detail. In our very 1st<br />
sentence expanding writing practice, she needed to<br />
be reminded to follow the 4 steps to expand her<br />
sentence. I was pleased to see her to create her own<br />
story with only one small writing mistake which is<br />
missing 3rd stroke “ 竖 ” in the character “ 在 ”.<br />
