“I participated in a collaboration with a fashion
stylist, a photographer, and a model.
We wanted to create something vibrant and
colorful, so I painted on a giant cloth for the
background. I took this photo when they were
shooting and I loved it simply because the
model looks like a part of my painted cloth.”

somewhere in the monotony of things we settle
besides emerald branches entrenched into
chalked prism colors on the pavement where
the jaywalker leaps—in the path parallel
a child recites sticky lyrics to a Mona Lisa while
the performance begins as the one-man-orchestra
harmonizes B notes—paints lavender adagio cymatics
on illuminated stucco the size of an ochre sun
a beat changes
neon dots halt the muffled engines
in the rearview grandeur vistas of multidimensional
cinematic plots—carrying the depth of expectations
nearby the waterfowls fox-trot into the dross
the crescendo ends
we step away from the synchronicity of this gallery pane
under the last light of the gold composed
our soles find the path for
solace
to recommence.
