The Banshees are back!<br />
It’s almost like we were a little too early with our<br />
original series back in 2013. This incarnation features<br />
shaped paint-dipped decks, printed grip and trucks,<br />
and fifty-five millimeter conical street wheels.<br />
From shape to theme, finish to versatility.. These are<br />
the quintessential Globe boards. Colorways here use<br />
patterns from nature, the pre-eminent designer.<br />
As one the world’s largest manufacturers of premium<br />
skateboards, we clearly use a significant amount of<br />
wood in our production. In order to off-set the timber<br />
we use to construct our skateboards, our goal is to<br />
engage in forestry efforts that replace far more than<br />
we consume. To that effect, we have partnered with<br />
the National Forest Foundation (NFF) to donate to<br />
their tree-planting program. Our ongoing donations to<br />
the NFF plant at least 3 times the amount of trees we<br />
harvest annually in the making of our skateboards.<br />

Uniquely color-dyed veneers have been a hit for us<br />
on previous series.. such as the G2 In Flames, and the<br />
Dye-Washed cruisers. We’ve come up with some new<br />
custom veneer treatments here, combined with a sort<br />
of magic-eye optical illusion graphic. If we’re quite subtly<br />
hinting at the ideas of peace and love.. that probably<br />
isn’t a bad thing in today’s world, is it.<br />
We can’t go an entire week without seeing one<br />
of Daren’s images pop up on Pinterest or get<br />
shared to us on Instagram, and we love them.<br />
They feel beautifully complex in their simplicity,<br />
much like skating can feel to us when it’s being done<br />
well. You know when something looks so effortless<br />
even though it would have taken plenty of time, and<br />
hundreds if not thousands of repetitions to hone that<br />
vibe. Luckily he was keen to make skateboards too, so<br />
we made something fun together.<br />
