Back in 1851 our founder Walter Hicks set up business as a wine and spirits merchant before he 

soon expanded into running pubs and brewing beer. So from the very start, wine has been at the 

heart of our business and we have built our reputation on sourcing wine from all over the world 

and trading recognised and long-lived fine wines. Of the rare and old wines, some are held in 

our temperature controlled unit, while others are held under lock and key in the depths of the 

cellar at St Austell Brewery. For the main body of our range, we work with like-minded family 

wine producers from around the world and place as much focus as we can on sustainability of the 

vineyards, the producers and reducing the impact on our natural environment.

To help you present your wines to your customers, we are able to offer a bespoke wine 

list design service. 

Our in-house team of talented designers will create a unique list tailored to your business, which 

can feature your logo, preferred font and colour palette to match your brand identity. If you 

don’t have a specific style in mind, we can create something new from scratch, providing you with 

inspiration on how best to present yourselves and your wines to your customers. Once you’re 

happy with the design, we’ll have it professionally printed for you. Every detail is considered, from

Champagne 

Champagne is arguably one of the world’s most famous wine producing regions which doesn’t come as a huge 

surprise as they have thousands of years of winemaking experience under their belt! Champagne is predominately 

made from three grape varieties: the white Chardonnay which gives elegance and finesse and the reds Pinot Noir 

adding elegance and structure and the Pinot Meunier offering fruit and backbone. Whilst other sparkling wines from 

across the globe continue to give Champagne a run for their money, it still remains that popping a Champagne cork 

is the epitome of any celebration.

Champagne 

Champagne Ayala is run by a young, dynamic team headed 

up by one of the few female Cellarmasters of Champagne 

- Caroline Latrive. The house style Ayala Brut Majeur is 

super fruity thanks to the high percentage of Chardonnay. It is

Champagne 

Champagne Joseph Perrier 

Since 1825 the family-owned Grande Marque house of Joseph Perrier has quietly 

built up a reputation and tradition for the very highest quality Champagnes. 

The family vineyards are located in the Grande Vallée de la Marne villages of 

Cumières, Damery, Hautvillers, and Verneuil. These south facing vineyards 

produce rich rounded wines that form the backbone of the Joseph Perrier style. 

The House of Joseph Perrier is found in the historic capital of the Champagne 

region, Châlons-en-Champagne. Here the cellars are over two miles long. 

First carved out of the chalk by the Romans, then by the family, they provide 

the dark and constant temperature necessary for the production and ageing 

of top Champagnes. Champagne Joseph Perrier is careful to age its wines for 

longer than most to ensure the round and enjoyable house style is continued 

for your enjoyment now and long into the future. There are many Perriers but 

only one Joseph!

Sparkling Wine 

Whilst there remains an array of superb sparkling wines on offer throughout the world, there is no denying that 

the word ‘Prosecco’ remains on the tips of many tongues. Sales of the Italian fizz continue to soar with the U.K. 

consuming more bottles than any other country (after Italy). Moving away from Italy, our El Miracle Cava Brut and 

Rosé show outstanding quality and provide a great alternative to Prosecco, offering superb value for money. Closer 

to home, we continue to see the planting of vines, especially in the south of England, with the quality going from 

strength to strength. 

With local produce quite rightly becoming a staple, we are seeing an increasing amount of our home grown sparkling 

wines adorn wine lists across the South West. For 2020, we were delighted to add to our portfolio the outstanding 

Jubilate Sparkling from Aldwick Estate in Bristol and Langham Corallian Classic Cuvée from Dorset.

Nestled in the heart of Treviso, a stones throw from Venice, Villa Sandi is an 

unusual Prosecco house with roots going back to the 17th century. It is still 

independent and family-owned, which is a rarity in Prosecco world. Moretti 

Polegato have been devoted to wine culture for many generations and their 

winemaker, Stefano Gava, has consistently won prestigious awards for their 

Prosecco range. Villa Sandi own five wine estates including a 1.5-hectare 

estate in the heart of the highly sought after Cartizze region and is the 

only winery to own vineyards in all DOCG areas of Prosecco. They are also 

the only producer to chill 100% of must between fermentations, ensuring 

maximum quality and fresh aromatics for every bottling. Their sparkling rosé,

From humble beginnings Vittorio De Bortoli started making small amounts of 

table wine, mostly for family and friends. The De Bortoli family story is one of 

determination and triumph that started nearly 90 years ago in war-torn Europe 

and is now told, generations later, across Australia. Its heritage encompasses 

the universal story of immigrants making good in an adopted land, the rise of 

the Australian wine industry and the tale of a hardworking and innovative family

family. All third-generation family members are married and between them

Viu Manent is a family-owned winery who are committed to crafting wines 

sustainably. Founded in 1935 by Catalan immigrants, they incorporate 

environmentally-friendly practices with an emphasis on ecological actions, 

recycling, waste-water management and energy efficiency in their daily 

activities. They are one of the longest established producers in the region and 

are currently run by third-generation Jose Miguel Viu Bottini. Their vineyards 

are located in the renowned Colchagua Valley over three locations: San 

Carlos, La Capilla and El Olivar. The vineyards benefit from cool sea breezes 

and sharp diurnal temperature differences which help their wines retain acidity 

and freshness and give a long growing season which allows the red grapes to 

develop slowly improving their flavour and colour. They also source grapes 

from selected Casablanca vineyards for some of their white wines.

Germany and the tall, green tapered bottles are 

a reflection of their Germanic past. The wines 

of Alsace tend to be drier than their German 

counterpart due to their traditional winemaking 

technique being to ferment all of the grape sugar 

into alcohol, resulting in a dry, full-bodied wine.

Vignerons des Terres Secrètes is a group of growers founded in 1928. It now 

has 352 members with just over 1,000 hectares under vine in the Southern 

Mâconnais covering the appellations of Mâcon, Saint Véran and Pouily-Fuissé. 

Winemaker Georges Brichon heads a team of oenologists who run the group’s 

three wineries at Prissé, Sologny and Verzé. For many years, Vignerons des Terres 

Secrètes has been the foremost producer of unoaked Mâcon-Villages and Saint 

Véran. More recently, a number of top sites have been vinified separately in 

either small, stainless steel vats or barrel-fermented and represent a range of 

top-class wines from the Mâconnais.

The Loire stretches from the mouth of the Atlantic ocean west of Nantes to Sancerre in the east, finding an array of 

grape varieties en route. Muscadet in the west boasts bone dry, saline edged whites with Chenin Blanc taking over 

in the central vineyards of Vouvray and Montlouis and red making an appearance around the town of Saumur, the 

home of Cabernet Franc. Sauvignon Blanc makes a brief appearance in Touraine before reappearing as king in the far 

eastern appellations of the well-known Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume.

The Rhône Valley is a region of two halves. Northern Rhône is home to some of the world’s finest wines and is 

centred on two grapes; Syrah (or Shiraz) for red wines and Viognier for the white (which also makes an appearance 

in some red wines). Southern Rhône boasts a larger percentage of area under vine than its northern neighbour and 

is home to the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape. While the north focuses on just two grape varieties, the south is all 

about blending where Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Cinsaut take centre stage. 


Châteauneuf-du-Pape is permitted to use up to 

13 different grapes varieties in its blend.

In 1954, a law was passed in Châteauneuf-du- 

Pape forbidding the ‘flying over, landing or taking 

off of flying saucers’ after a man claimed to have 

seen two figures emerging from a space ship.

Auguste Bessac 

Auguste Bessac Côtes du Rhône pays tribute to the expertise and the know-how 

of the former cooper Auguste Bessac, one of the founding fathers of our wine 

house. At the beginning of the 20th century, he settled down in Châteauneufdu-Pape 

and quickly became a major player in the Papal life. In 1926, he started 

to produce, age wine and he built our cellar, which was one of the biggest of 

the region at the time, and still is nowadays! On the label you find his initials as 

they were once engraved on the barrels. Produced from a rigorous selection of 

the best parcels of the appellation, this warm wine is a perfect example of the 

richness of the Rhône Valley terroir. The nose is complex with a predominance 

of cooked red fruits and notes of liquorice typical of the appellations of the 

South Rhône Valley vineyards. The flavour is well-balanced between roundness, 

vivacity and structure with pleasant finish on silky tannins. Enjoy with meat,

Domaine Tropez 

Domaine Tropez was born in 1996 and it has assembled a number of AOC Côtes 

de Provence vines, covering over 40 hectares. The vineyard has undergone 

major reconstruction calling for a large investment to build a state of the art 

wine cellar. The dominant vines grown around the estate and in the region are 

Grenache, these give structure and aroma to the wines. Tibouren is a specific 

vine from the local region of the Golfe of Saint-Tropez, bringing elegance and 

finesse. Other complementary vines to these are Cinsault for the rosé, Rolle 

and Semillon for the white, Syrah and Cabernet for the red. The personality of 

the estate wines is the result of exceptional circumstances; they are under the 

strong maritime influence of the clay and limestone soils along with the sandy 

Mediterranean climate. In line with the principles of organic farming, all vine 

growing procedures are wisely thought through: regular mechanical weeding 

is performed to limit chemical weed control, using certified organic fertilizers. 

Harvesting is done at a low temperature to obtain white and rosé wines 

with elegant and complex aromas, also creating crisp, light-coloured wines. 

These are the characteristics of Domaine Tropez.

Voyage des Animaux 

The story behind this quirky label just has to be shared. In 1783, at a royal 

reception near Paris, a sheep, a duck and a cockerel took to the skies as the first 

passengers of a hot air balloon. They voyaged two miles and reached an altitude 

of 1,500 feet before safely returning to earth. 

The Voyage des Animaux Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Malbec are produced in 

Pays d’Oc with the vineyard nestled between the Mediterranean coastline in the 

South and the Pyrenean foothills. We then travel west to Côtes de Gascogne 

where the Voyage des Animaux Sauvignon Blanc is produced in a vineyard 

located on the east by the Pyrenees range of mountains and on the west by the 

Atlantic coastline. Both areas have varied terroirs, each one having its own soil, 

climate and perfectly adapted grape varieties, creating an impressive array of 

wine styles.

Frankfurt and down the western border to Switzerland. Riesling is the main grape of Germany and, in a similar way 

to Chenin Blanc in the Loire Valley, is capable of producing wines that range from dry to lusciously sweet. Our 

Kendermanns Riesling Kabinett shows a touch of sweetness with a wonderfully fragrant nose. 


German Pinot Noir, known as Spatburger, is the 

most popular style on the domestic market. It is 

the third most planted variety in the country after 

white grapes Müller-Thurgau and Riesling.

Castello di Albola 

Castello di Albola is located in Radda in Chianti, an atmospheric medieval 

village in the high, central part of the Chianti Classico region, midway between 

the Renaissance cities of Florence and Siena. Steeped in history, Castello di 

Albola can trace its ownership back to the 12th century and has passed through 

the hands of some most important and influential Tuscan noble families. They 

capture the essence of the Sangiovese variety with its often subtle and austere 

tones, capable of delighting those who care to unlock its fascinating secrets. 

The Chianti Classico is Castello di Albola’s signature wine. It is expressive of 

both the Albola estate and Radda’s very distinct terroir: cool and high altitude, 

at the limit of where Sangiovese will ripen fully. The wine is very perfumed and

With the troubles in Syria, you would be forgiven for thinking that the Lebanese wineries had disappeared into the 

desert. In fact, they are thriving despite risking life and death to grow and harvest grapes. During the Civil War, 

Chateau Musar remarkably missed only one vintage and at times had shells falling amongst their vines. Their wines 

have found worldwide acclaim and adorn some of the finest restaurant wine lists in the world. 


Major Ronald Barton of Chateau Leoville-Barton 

was stationed in Lebanon during World War Two 

and befriended Gaston Hochar, the founder of 

Chateau Musar, which strengthened links with 

Bordeaux and influenced the Musar style.

The wines of Chateau Musar are unique expressions from a country with an 

ancient wine-making culture, as wines have been cultivated from Lebanon’s high 

altitude Bekaa Valley for over 6,000 years. 

French in origin, the Hochar family arrived in Lebanon in the 12th century and have 

remained there ever since. Chateau Musar’s red vineyards are situated towards 

the southern end of the Bekaa Valley, at relatively high altitudes and have the 

kind of calcareous, gravel and stone soils that encourage the production of high 

quality grapes. The grapes used to make the red wine are Cabernet Sauvignon 

and Southern Rhône varieties of Cinsault and Carignan from long established 

mature wines yielding a maximum of 30 to 35 hectolitres per hectare.

eastern edge of Europe, bordering Romania’s north-east boundary lies a country whose wine-making can be traced

The lure of New Zealand’s Sauvignon Blancs are showing no sign of slowing and whilst our offering reflects this ever 

increasing demand, there are many other varieties that New Zealand are justifiably shouting about. The Crossings 

Pinot Noir from the lesser known Awatere Valley, showing blackberry fruit and savoury notes, is a real stand out and 

has helped the winery win a host of awards and accolades. The wonderfully charismatic Gordon Russell, winemaker 

at Esk Valley since 1993, produces an outstanding Riesling showing thrilling aromatic tension of elderflower, 

gooseberry and lime. Onto his reds and Gordon’s Merlot-Cabernet-Malbec blend combines Bordeaux varieties 

in the Gimlet Gravels sub region of the North Island’s Hawkes Bay whose climate is similar to that of the South West 

of France. We always find it rather entertaining to blind taste it against its French counterparts. We will leave it to

world-wide wine producing countries (2018 harvest), it actually makes more than New Zealand, Greece and Austria. 

We don’t see much of it over here, they drink a lot domestically but what we do see is amazing value for money. 

Romania has a consistent climate for growing grapes; land and labour are both cheap relative to France, Italy and 

Spain. They excel at producing high quality wines from grapes we recognise; mainly Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Merlot 

and Sauvignon Blanc to name a few. If you’re looking for a wine that ticks boxes on quality, flavour and value for 

money then look no further than Romania. 


Native varieties such as Feteasca Neagra are the 

most widely planted however the export market

Cramele Recas 

Founded by Bristol-born Philip Cox and his Romanian wife Elvira in 1998, 

Cramele Recas has grown using state of the art equipment and methods to 

create high-quality, great value wine; now producing a little over 65 wines under 

247 different labels. Replanted on ancient vineyards dating back to 15th century, 

the 1,250 hectares of the Cramele Recas vineyard are located in the Romanian 

region of Banat, where the climate is warm, continental and on the same 

latitude as Bordeaux. The tradition of the wine region is perfectly expressed 

through Cramele Recas’ developing range of modern, fruit driven wines. 

The 2019 vintage recorded 22 million litres across its three wineries (the 

Timisoara headquarters, plus two new partner wineries in the east of Romania, 

in Odobesti and Pestera). All of their wines are suitable for vegetarians and 

vegans and are made with sustainable estate grown grapes.

fantastic wineries we have built relationships with, we are always humbled by the amazing work Jeremy Borg does 

for conservation, in particular the endangered wolf, after which his Painted Wolf wines are named. Five percent of 

the sales of Painted Wolf wines in the U.K. are donated to the Tusk Trust who work to protect endangered species 

and alleviate poverty through sustainable development and education amongst rural communities. Look out for

Founded in 1956, the wines made at Fincas de Azabache in Rioja are crafted 

from 502 hectares of vineyards in Aldeanueva de Ebro at a state-of-the-art 

modern winery. The range is a tribute to the land, where vine age, altitude and 

grape varieties unite to produce contemporary wines of outstanding quality. 

At Fincas de Azabache they make their wines from grapes selected from parcels 

in their vineyards located in Aldeanueva de Ebro. Their winery is modern and 

uses the latest technology, combined with nearly 65 years of experience, which 

allows them to create wines that are one of the best examples of the region, 

La Rioja. Fincas de Azabache wines display the varietal diversities of La Rioja.

Gonzalez Byass 

Sherry has run though the veins of five generations of the Gonzalez family since 

1835 when the pioneering 23 year old Manuel Maria Gonzalez left his banking 

career for more noble pursuits. The founder of Gonzalez Byass, Manuel Maria 

Gonzalez Angel, named ‘Tio Pepe’ after his ‘Uncle Joe’ who created his pale 

very dry white wine in 1841. Tio Pepe is now the world’s best-selling fino sherry, 

originating from Jerez in southern Spain where it is drunk by the locals with 

tapas, as they’ve done for over a century. A crisp, fresh and uncompromisingly 

dry fino, served chilled, straight from the fridge, it is fantastic with food. It has

Green Wines 

To know whether a wine is suitable for vegetarians or vegans, you need to know how the wine is clarified (or fined) to 

remove the solid particles that would otherwise make it cloudy. The substances used for this process can be derived 

from many sources, some of which come from fish and animal, some from dairy products and some from clay or 

synthetic substances. Certain producers do not fine their wines at all while some choose just to filter. 

Though bull's blood, a traditional fining agent, was banned by the EU after the BSE crisis, a number of animal-derived 

products are still permitted for the production of wine sold in Europe. Among the most prevalent are isinglass (fish 

swim bladders), gelatin, casein (milk protein) and albumen (egg whites). If a wine is fined with bentonite (a clay), the 

wine is suitable for vegetarians and vegans, if a wine is fined with casein or albumen it is suitable for vegetarians but 

not for vegans. 

Strictly speaking, such substances are no longer found in the wine at all after clarification, but the fact that they have 

had contact with the liquid may be a deciding factor for some people.

Allergens Explained 

As of December 13th 2014 a new law concerning allergens came into effect that significantly affects the 

hospitality trade. Here is an outline of the regulations and what you need to do about them. 

The law states that all retailers MUST have information on allergen ingredients that MUST either be: 

• Written up front (on a menu or menu board) without the customer having to ask for help. 

• Sign posted to where information can be found or obtained. 

• Sign posted to say that information can be obtained from a staff member. 

If information on allergens is provided by word (by a staff member), this must be consistent and verifiable i.e. a 

business must have in place a process to capture information from recipes or ingredient lists from products bought 

in and this must be made available to staff. 

Allergens Found In Wine: 

Sulphur Dioxide 

The key allergen found in wine is sulphur dioxide. Some wines may also contain traces of milk or eggs which are 

used as fining agents. In essence, wine is exempt from the new laws because wine labels already adhere to wine 

regulations stating that sulphites, egg and milk need to be indicated if detected in the wine: 

It is obligatory to state on the label that a wine contains sulphites if it contains more than 10mg/l of sulphur 

dioxide. This is shown as “Contains Sulphur Dioxide” (or sulphites/sulfites). SO 2 

is used to a certain extent in the 

making of virtually all wine and is a by-product of fermentation, therefore virtually all wine contains this level of 

sulphites. 

Milk 

and Egg 

Casein is the principal milk protein used as a fining agent. If used it is mostly for white wine to get rid of a brown 

colour or for clearing cloudy wine. Egg whites are used in the production of fine red wines for fining as they gently 

adsorb the harsh and bitter tannins. 

‘In the case of wine and wine fining agents derived from egg and milk, EU Regulation No. 579/2012 will need to be 

considered. In determining whether egg and milk fining agents are still present in wine, they should not be found at 

the limit of detection (

Terms & Conditions 

1. Terms of Payment 

Payment is due by you in full and cleared funds within such period or on such date as we specify to you. Otherwise, if we do not 

give you a specific date then payment is due on the 24th day of the month following the month the invoice is dated. Failure to 

pay any amount due to us by the due date or any circumstances which give us reasonable concerns about your solvency, shall 

entitle us to suspend delivery of any undelivered orders. 

If payment is not made by the due date, we reserve the right to charge you interest on the overdue amount at the rate of 3% per 

annum above the Bank of England’s base rate from time to time. Such interest shall accrue on a daily basis from the due date 

until actual payment of the overdue amount. Any account falling overdue will not qualify for discount relating to the overdue 

amount and we reserve the right to withdraw without notice any discounts that have been allowed if payment is not made in 

full by the due date. All of our reasonable costs (including legal fees) incurred by us in collection of amounts due hereunder 

or in enforcing repossession under clause 5 below will be payable by you. In the event of any cheques or direct debit being 

dishonoured, we will charge you a reasonable fee to cover bank and administration costs. Any credit periods are granted at our 

discretion and can be amended, suspended or withdrawn by us at any time. 

2. Claims 

All goods should be examined at the time of delivery and any loss or damage signed for accordingly. If examination is 

impractical at the time of delivery, please sign delivery note “UNEXAMINED”. In any event St Austell Brewery must be notified 

of any discrepancies and/or breakages in deliveries received not later than the day following the day of delivery. 

3. Set-Off 

You shall pay us all amounts due in full without any set-off, counterclaim, deduction or withholding (except as required by 

law). We may at any time without limiting any other rights or remedies we may have, set-off or withhold any amount owing to 

us, or any company within our group, by you against any sum which we or any company within our group owe you. 

4. Insolvency 

Without affecting any of our other rights or remedies we may terminate this contract or suspend any further deliveries 

under these conditions with immediate effect and if the goods have been delivered but not paid for, the price shall become 

immediately due and payable, notwithstanding any previous agreement or arrangement to the contrary if; 

1. You become unable to pay your debts as they fall due, propose any voluntary arrangement or enter into a compromise or 

other arrangement with your creditors; 

2. An order is made or you become subject to a bankruptcy petition or become bankrupt; 

3. You become subject to a winding-up petition or go into liquidation or become subject to a petition for an administration 

order or upon the making of an administration order; 

4. You cease, or threaten to cease, to carry on all or a substantial part of your business; 

5. An encumbering party takes possession of, or a receiver or manager is appointed over any of your property or assets or; 

6. We reasonably believe that any of the events mentioned above is likely to occur and notify you accordingly. 

5. Risk & Retention of Title 

The risk in the goods shall pass to you upon delivery. However, notwithstanding delivery and passing of risk in the goods, title 

and property in the goods, including full legal and beneficial ownership shall not pass to you until we have received in cash or 

cleared funds payment in full for the goods delivered to you and any other goods which we have supplied to you in respect of 

which payment has become due. Payment of the full price of the goods shall include the amount of any interest or other sum 

payable under the terms of this and all other contracts between us and you under which the goods were delivered. 

Until payment for the goods is received by us, you shall hold the goods on our behalf and shall store the goods separately 

from all other goods you hold so that they are readily identifiable as our property. If you sell the goods before we have been 

paid in full, you shall hold the proceeds of the sale on trust for us, and such sale is only authorised by us if it takes place in 

the ordinary course of your business. In the event of non-payment by you on the due date, we shall be entitled to enter your 

premises and take such measures as are reasonably necessary to recover the goods. We shall have absolute authority to 

retake, sell or otherwise deal with or dispose of all or any part of the goods in which title remains vested in us. We shall be 

entitled to seek a court injunction to prevent you from selling, transferring or otherwise disposing of the goods.

6. Ownership 

Notice is hereby given that returnable bottles, cases and casks upon which a deposit may or may not have been charged are 

your responsibility. They will be credited in full when returned in good condition and their full value will be charged for if not 

returned. 

7. Availability of Stock, Vintages and Substitutions 

It is not always possible to ensure that stocks of wine in our list remain available until the publication of the next monthly 

amendment sheet or annual price list. If your order includes a wine which is either out of stock or discontinued we will select 

another wine as near as possible in style, quality and price. Similarly in the event of a vintage being out of stock the next 

available vintage will be sent unless we are instructed to the contrary. 

8. Prices 

All prices are quoted exclusive of V.A.T and are subject to market fluctuations, alterations in Customs and Excise Duties, and 

stocks being available. We reserve the right to alter any prices or specifications in accordance with these conditions at any time 

without notice to you and all goods are sold subject to prices and conditions ruling at the date of dispatch. All prices include 

delivery by our own transport providing that conditions stated under Clause 9 below are adhered to. 

9. Deliveries and Minimum Orders 

We reserve the right to state a minimum value and/or quantity for any orders to be delivered wherever deemed appropriate. 

All deliveries are made by our own transport. Approximate times and days of deliveries are available from St Austell Brewery 

or any of its depots. 

10. Warranty 

We warrant that on delivery our goods conform with their description and are of satisfactory quality (within the meaning of 

the Sale of Goods Act 1979). All other implied terms are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from the contract. 

11. Contract Terms 

These terms and conditions apply to the contract between you and us to the exclusion of any other terms that you seek to 

impose or incorporate, or which are implied by trade, custom, practice or course of dealing. 

An order constitutes an offer by you to purchase the goods in accordance with these conditions. 

You are responsible for ensuring that the terms of the order and any applicable specification are complete and accurate. 

An order will only be deemed to be accepted by us when we confirm acceptance, either verbally or in writing, at which point a 

contract will come into existence. A contract constitutes the entire agreement between you and us. 

12. Stock Rotation and Returns 

It is your responsibility to rotate products so that the oldest is sold first. No credit will be given for out of date products nor 

will they be exchanged. No returns of WINES AND SPIRITS will be accepted other than in exceptional circumstances in which 

case authorisation from the brewery is required in advance. In the instances of BEER, CIDER AND MINERALS carrying an open 

date code, goods must be returned in complete packs, good condition and not of mixed dates and must have the major part 

of their available life to run. Guidance on this matter is readily available from us on request. We cannot guarantee credit on 

returns of other Brewer’s cask conditioned Ales and even where credit is given delays of up to 3 months should be expected. 

Cask conditioned Ales cannot be supplied on a sale or return basis. Returns of Draught Wine, Postmix Minerals and “Special 

Orders” will not be accepted. In the case of authorisation from St Austell Brewery being granted for the return of goods, due 

to overstocking, closing down or change of ownership we reserve the right to charge up to 20% of the value of the goods to 

cover costs of collection and administration. 

13. Exclusion of Liability 

St Austell Brewery Company Limited shall be under no liability whatsoever for loss or damage, death or personal injury 

howsoever arising other than for death or personal injury sustained by any person arising from the negligence of St Austell 

Brewery Company Limited or under the Consumer Protection Act 1987. 

14. Money Laundering 

For the protection of our customers, we operate a money laundering reporting procedure. In certain circumstances, 

information will be revealed by us to the appropriate authorities in relation to any suspicion of money laundering.
