RECOGNISED
QUALIFICATIONS
General Practitioner Certificate (GPCert)
By attending the full structured taught programme of your choice and following
successful assessment you will gain the GPCert awarded by the International School of Veterinary Postgraduate
Studies (ISVPS). 60 academic credits will be awarded for Small Animal Surgery and Small Animal Medicine
Programmes and 40 academic credits for clinical programmes, following the completion of the case diary and
reflective essay assessed by Harper Adams University (HAU).

Postgraduate Certificate (PgC)
The PgC is a recognised higher education qualification demonstrating that you have achieved the required
standard within a designated subject. The qualification represents Masters Level 7 within the Quality
Assurance Agency’s framework for higher and further education. It provides 60 transferable academic
credits towards the 180 required for a Masters degree in the UK or 30 ECTS credits (Europe). We work in
partnership with Harper Adams University who award the PgC. Our PgC Programmes are recognised by the
RCVS for application to the Advanced Practitioner Status.
