who passed away this week. Roger was the Senior Pastor of First Church from

WOMEN’S MINISTRY BRUNCH MEETING
Speaker, Becca Lynn, will be sharing her journey with addiction, recovery and how
God has helped her, Additionally, we will be having a brunch meeting on Saturday,
August 14 at 9:30 a.m., Rt. 8 Campus Please bring a breakfast food that you
would like to share with the group.
THE KINGDOM OF GOD BEGINS WITH CHILDREN
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will
not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6 First Church is in need of nursery staff and volunteers
in children’s ministries across the campuses. No experience required, you just need
to love Jesus and children! The harvest is many, the workers are few! Contact Suzie

ANNUAL MEALS ON WHEELS DESSERT COLLECTION
Our annual collection of desserts for Meals On Wheels is at all services on the weekend of August 14 and 15.
This is a great chance to bake your favorite cookies, brownies, cakes, pies, breads, etc.to share with others.
Help us by following these guidelines:
• NO gooey icings or nuts. (You can slice a cake in half and put icing between the layers or fill the center of
cupcakes.)
• Diabetic desserts are appreciated.
• Use disposable pans.
• Wrap and label the dessert in freezer paper or freezer bags.
Monetary donations are also a great way to give. Make checks payable to Butler Meals on Wheels.

WELCOME TO
CHURCH CENTER!
Beginning the weekend of July 31/August 1,
we will be moving to a new online giving
platform. We will be transitioning from our
current giving platform, Pushpay, to a new
platform, Church Center. Why this move?
1. We use Planning Center for our membership platform
(where all of your contact information lives here at
First Church). Church Center is a segment or product of
Planning Center. The two platforms work together as one
cohesive piece and tie everything together.
2. For every transaction that is made for online giving, there
is a fee involved. Planning Center offers a much discounted
rate on those fees. That means that once we are switched
to Planning Center/Church Center, more of your money will
be able to go toward Kingdom work versus fees.
As with our current platform, you may choose to give through
an app on your phone. The app is called Church Center. After
downloading and installing Church Center on your phone,
search for First Church and choose the campus you identify
with, either Downtown and Rt. 8. Note: If you have utilized the
Pushpay app for a recurring donation, you will need to go into
the Pushpay app to cancel the recurring giving prior to setting
up your new giving in Church Center.
If you would like to give on a recurring basis but not use the
phone app, you can do that to! Simply fill out an Auto Tithe
Authorization Form and get it to the church office. (If you
already do this, your current payment in Pushpay will be
cancelled by the church before setting up the new one in
Church Center, but a form is still needed to authorize us to
do so.) You can pick up the Auto Tithe Authorization Form at
any of the welcome centers beginning this weekend. Please
return the form no later than the weekend of August 14/15 so
that we can get everything processed in a timely manner. The
forms can be returned in the offering in a sealed envelope
addressed to Brenda Monfre, or by mailing or dropping it off to
the church office (200 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001). Brenda will
be contacting you afterward to finalize your giving.
Our hope is to have everyone transitioned from Pushpay to
Church Center by the end of August to avoid any further fees.
