Open Water Swimming has come to Wigan and you can
join this invigorating form of exercise at Three Sisters
Water-Ski Club, based on Landgate Lane in Bryn.
Swimming sessions take place every Wednesday
between 7-8.30pm and are hosted by the Endurance
Store in Wrightington. There are coached sessions every
week and are suitable for complete novices right through
to advanced swimmers.
Every third week is race night and there are a range of
distances to choose from, if you don’t fancy racing then
you can still attend and swim at your own pace. The
swims are limited to 120 people, wetsuits are compulsory
and under 16’s must have a swim float.

Foodie Fridays
Foodie Fridays have returned to Haigh for the first time
since September 2019. The event, which takes place
within the Courtyard at Haigh Country Park, runs on the
last Friday of every month until 29th October.
Visitors can sample street food from different corners of
the globe and there’s music too. Foodie Fridays is a family
friendly event and dogs are also welcome. The events run
from 6pm-10pm and car parking is free.
