This summer has felt more like being out on<br />
parole rather than the promised get-out-of-jailfree<br />
status.<br />
If you ‘staycationed’, you were rewarded with<br />
quintessentially British weather which remained reliably<br />
unreliable, whilst those who went overseas faced holiday<br />
planning tasks that turned out to be as difficult as nailing<br />
jelly to the wall.<br />
Whilst I was sheltering from the rain in Northumberland,<br />
I didn’t really appreciate Facebook reminding me where I<br />
was holidaying on that date in previous years!<br />
Let’s hope that <strong>Sep</strong>tember marks a big step forward in<br />
getting back to some sort of normality, especially for<br />
the travel and hospitality sectors. As you can see in this<br />
magazine, there’s lots going on this month.<br />
