School is Back in Session<br />
We hope everyone enjoyed the sweet summertime!<br />
Highlands County School District began the new 2021-22 term on<br />
<strong>August</strong> 10 th . Before you know it, Christmas will be here!<br />
We are thankful we got to see familiar faces and meet some new<br />
ones at the 30 th Annual Caladium festival. The temperature may<br />
have been hot but that didn’t stop the visitors or participants! With<br />
one of the largest turnouts of both in years. We filed the streets with<br />
vendors of crafts, and specialty merchandise as well as food and<br />
some of the best entertainment around! Both parks were bustling<br />
and busy Saturday as we also held the Annual Car & Bike Show, 105<br />
cars from all over, music, food and raffles means something for<br />
everyone!<br />
We would like to thank each person who volunteered and gave of<br />
their time to make this year’s festival such a success. We could not<br />
do this without every one of you! Planning for 2022 has already<br />
started, so mark your calendars for July 29-31 as we celebrate<br />
another year of our beautiful Caladiums and beloved town.<br />
Stay cool, stay hydrated, and remember to shop local, eat local, and<br />
drink local.

Find the Hidden Object Competition<br />
Every month we will hide a symbol of a WiFi connection. Which symbolizes the connection between the<br />
Chamber and it’s members. Look for the hidden symbol throughout the newsletter each month and when you<br />
find it, send us an email at information@lpfla.com and tell us where it is (Page and general vicinity on the<br />
page.) If correct, you will be entered into a drawing for a gift from one of our member businesses. Prizes will<br />
vary from month to month.<br />
Entry emails must contain the edition of newsletter that the symbol was found in (Month) and the finders name<br />
along with the best way to contact that person. Drawings will be held on the last Monday of every month.<br />
