GIC 3: WALKING
ARIGHT
Maturing in Christ is not an automatic
process. Rather, as we walk with God,
we need to intentionally learn how to
put off our old self and put on our new
self in Christ.
In this Part 3 of our “Growing into
Christlikeness” series, join us as we
learn how to walk aright, by practising
faithfulness in our relationships,
developing godly contentment and
cultivating a life of integrity.

INTRODUCTION TO
APOLOGETICS
Reaching out to people will mean that
we have to be ready to answer people’s
question with regards to our faith. The
Apostle Peter set forth in his epistle that
we need to always be ready to give an
answer to everyone who asks us to give
a reason for the hope that we have.
But having tried this, we know how
difficult it is. We may not be clear in our
beliefs. We also struggle to present this
to our friends in a way to help them
understand our faith. Join us in this
introductory apologetics to learn how
we can make sense of our Christian
faith in the world of scientific discoveries
that appears to contrast religious belief.
How then do we engage with friends
who do not know Jesus?

PHYSICAL HEALING THEOLOGY OF
CHURCH
Healing the sick today in a world with
vast advances in medicine seems a
far cry from the time of Jesus and
the many cases of healing being
documented in the gospels.
In this class, we will look at the
relevance of biblical healing for the sick
in a modern world. What does the Bible
have to say about healing? We will also
propose a practical model in praying for
the sick.

There are many diverse opinions about
the church in the society we live in.
The pandemic has also caused many
of us to rethink and question our
understanding of what really is
the Church.
On top of that, Christians themselves
might have a picture of the ideal church
they hope they would be in. Come find
out what it means to be the Church –
the community of God’s people living
their new lives in Christ.

What does it mean to be standing in
the gap and interceding for others?
How can the church come together to
intercede as a body of Christ? Join us
together to learn about intercession
and humbly seek God together.

BOOK OF PROVERBS
Many who know of the book of
Proverbs would think that it only
contains proverbs (pithy sayings
chock-full of wisdom) because of its
title. The proverb is the most pervasive
and distinctive genre in the book, but
the book of Proverbs is written in more
than one literary form. Its first nine
chapters consist of discourses that
include a father’s reflections on wisdom
and a personification of wisdom.
Following the discourses are proverbial
observations, advice, insights, and
warnings that make up the main portion
of the book. The book ends with a
lecture and an acrostic poem praising
the noble wife. Proverbs taught the
Israelites how fearing the Lord should
shape their everyday living. Its practical
lessons continue to be indispensable
for believers today who desire to glorify
God by walking the path of wisdom in a
world characterised by folly.
BIBLE SEMINAR:
THE SONGS OF ASCENT
PART 2
Psalm 120 - Psalm 134 are commonly
known as The Songs of Ascent. The
Israelites will traditionally sing these
psalms as they make their way to
worship Jehovah God in the Temple.
It is a beautiful metaphor of the
discipleship journey that all of us are
taking as we move from sin to salvation,
from despair to delight, from weakness
to strength, and from defeat to victory.
This expository series continues from
Part 1 which covered 4 selected psalms
from the Songs of Ascent. Join us as we
complete the next 4 together. Come
and be blessed!
