is, why did we choose Pixel as our theme? To end your

curiosity, one pixel represents each one of us and

each one of us are equally important in order to form

an ‘image’ which in this case is our Degree Design

Exhibition. Another reason is because due to the

pandemic, we are coming to you digitally hence the

Gracious and Almighty, the Faculty of Art & Design has

been given the opportunity to organize pixel by Redefine

13 2021, the graphic design exhibition showing designs

by our very own final year degree students. This

exhibition will surely present the best upcoming

designers and insightful leaders in the art and design

field.

With the best access to information and knowledge, the

future of art and design is in high incorporation with

the ever growing technology, creating endless

possibilities and nurturing the creative minds of this

generation.

To the graduates who will further their journey into the

Assalamualaikum and greetings to all visitors of pixel

by Redefine 13 2021.

All praises and thanks to Allah SWT may he light our

paths and guide us on our journey in life and here after.

In this current situation, I hope that everyone of us is

in good health. With His permission despite the

challenge posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Faculty of

Art & Design has managed to organized a virtual design

exhibition under Redefine named pixel.

With 30 skilled and young designers from illustration

and corporate majoring, these students will showcase

their projects and design virtually due to situation

faced. May the virtual exhibition goes well as planned.

I would also like to take this oppurtunity to

congratulate all students at the end of their struggles

in finishing their degree life. But journey does not end

here, it is only the beggining of your reality in

industry. I hope everyone excels in whatever they pursue

in life, whether in your future workplace or to pursuing

your studies.

Alhamdulilah, all thanks be to be Allah SWT for his

Grance and Mercy in making Inddex programme a successful

one. Once again it is our pleasure to introduce our

students’ final year project. REDEFINE is an event that

is synonymous with final year students’ exhibition,

organized by the Graphics Design Department of

Universiti Teknologi MARA Perak Branch. For the very

first time, we are taking a proactive step by

collaborating with local and international virtual

exhibition that is participated by students from other

Public Institutions of Higher Learning from Malaysia,

Indonesia, pakistan, saudi Arabia & Bangladesh.

The world is changing and we are poised to take up the

challenges, taking creativity as the catalyst for the

transformation and innovation. REDEFINE not only gives

birth to graduates, who can fulfil the requirement from

the industry, but also fresh, young and creative

entrepreneurs who carry the name of UiTM. Theirs

presence, creativity and idea in this exhibition will

surely promote the standard and the quality of UiTM’s

students to a higher level.

I believe that this collaboration will be alble to

generate new prespective for future exhibition in

enhancing the quality in the design field. I hope the

outcome of this exchange of ideas and information will

provide an enriching and meaningful experience to all

The success of this exhibition depends greatly on the

Good day everyone,

My name is Muhammad Shafiq I’m the Project Manager of Pixel by

Redefine 13. First of all, I would like to thank all my fellow friends

who have been helping out to make this project as successful as it

is. And also, to congratulate everyone, despite this pandemic

situation, we’ve strived through and manage to complete this virtual

exhibition and our final year project respectively.

I want to thank all of the lecturers. I would like to express my

sincere gratitude and appreciation for their consideration and

guidance for all of us. Especially Encik Azlan, Encik Anwar Fikri and

all the other lecturers who was involved in this virtual exhibition,

it wouldn’t be possible without all of your help. Also, to all the

other lectures that have been helping us to succeed in this project.

It is understandably very difficult as we have been going through

this Online Distance Learning since the early 2020, obviously we had

a little rocky start, but I am glad and grateful to where we are

standing or sitting here today. I am speaking for all of us when I

Gaming and mental health awareness during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Video games as a role of helping people who are living with mental illness by

providing a way to relax, connect with others and feel competent. Parents and

adults tend to overlooked that gaming could help a mental illness patient cope

with the isolation especially during the COVID-19 pandemic They are too afraid

of the fact thattheir children would be addicted and would result in a negative

consequence. Virtual gaming tournament and also a character illustration as a

mascot. A character that symbolises mental illness. Specifically the most cases

of mental illness during the pandemic. Which are : ADHD, anxiety and depresssion

CHILDREN’S AWARENESS TOWARDS COVID-19

THROUGH ILLUSTRATION STORYBOOK

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, children are one of the most

affected from this pandemic. They can no longer going to

school and meet their friends. They were forced to stay at

home and wearing facemask when going outside. They are totally

reluctant to follow the given rules. This is because they do

not understand about this situation and do not aware about

COVID-19 virus. Therefore, to assist children to understand

and realize about COVID-19, an illustration storybook was

made according to children's preferences through surveys.

Illustration can improve children's understanding and assist

them to comprehend better. Children's preferences in making

this illustration story book is essential to attract children

to read this storybook and gain knowledge from it.

THE AWARENESS OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC THROUGH

ILLUSTRATION IMAGE ON MURAL AMONG SCHOOL

STUDENTS

This project is conducted to give awareness about COVID-19

toward school student and it is a collaboration with school.

This project can also be as a reference material in which it

could give important information to the students. Therefore,

by doing the campaign awareness, this could help students to

become more concern about the increase of COVID-19 epidemic.

Beside that, the practice of new norm in our life has changed

since COVID-19 disease spread in Malaysia. Apart from that,

this project will take this COVID-19 issue seriously on how

to prevent the spread of this disease toward school student.

For this mural, I will produce a series of murals or connected

to the next wall. So this mural will be a story on the wall.

CAMPAIGN

This final year project is a illustration book character

design for covid 19 awareness campaign and the title of the

book is COVID 19 on how to protect yourself? I choose to

design this book because lack of proper covid 19 awareness

medias for children, childhood as much as they would like and

might rebel against their parents and give them a rough time.

Children face anxiety about the negative impact of the

pandemic on their lives and their communities, and

uncertainty regarding the future .There is lot of awareness

about COVID-19 but there is still not enough for children to

help them understand the situation.

THE AWARENESS OF WEARING FACE MASK

FOR CHILDREN

COVID-19 or it’s full name coronavirus is a disease caused by

a new coronavirus that appeared in China in December 2019.

COVID-19 is known can be severe, and some cases can lead to

death. The way the disease is that it spreads from person to

person. The purpose of this study is about the importance of

the use of face mask on children. Face masks can prevent the

spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus, especially since this spread can

occur from people who do not have symptoms.After that, the

project also studied how illustrations can attract children

to wear face masks, based on the study, most children are more

interested in illustrations. For me illustration is one of

their favorite design .

The concept of this research basically is about the Standard

Operating Procedure (SOP) at the shopping centre during this

pandemic. Even during a pandemic, many people still living

their life as usual. So, this research going to give some

tips and ways starting from stepping out from house till the

end of shopping. In this research, there are several topics

will be include. The first one is the introduction about

corona virus itself. More likely a brief of corona virus.

Next topic isabout how does corona virus spread, through

what, and more. Furthermore, the topic is about how to

prevent this virus at any cost.

GOLF CLUB

Kuala Kangsar Golf Club in an old golf club that held in the

middle town of Kuala Kangsar that using old-style busness

which is open up a business and just wait for people to aware

your company when their pass by. The issue is they have no

storng corporate design, doesn’t have any social media

neihter website to approach people. For marketing plan, they

also having some lacks of extensive marketing plan that are

important to boost their business. I am going to recreate

their corporate identity so they will have a strong appearance

in public. Create variety of social media such as Facebook,

Instagram and Twitter to gain some attraction towards people

and lastly make a proper marketing plan that can be use to

longlast their sustainability in future.

REBRANDING WHITE HOUSE CAFE

The White House Cafe is on of the most popular breakfast and

located at Kota Bharu, Kelantan. The current owner is Mr Siow

Boon Suan. This brand has traditional food and started

established a long time ago around 1980an. However, this brand

has a many various food traditional such as Nasi Tumpang, Nasi

Berlauk, Roti Titab and many more. So, I rebranded the white

house cafe in terms of adding stronger corporate items to

create a recognizable identity. Therefore, most of the

designs i chooseare minimalist and classic. I choose the

concept because white house cafe need to have its own

identity.

In this final project, I chose one of the companies that

offers courier and delivery services, namely Ikobana service,

I have rebranded the company to be better known and trusted

with the service offered. The goal is to renew the identity

Ikobana company brand in order to attract the attention and

trust of consumers to the service offered. In addition, to enhance

the new brand identity in the market as well as analyzeelements

that are capable of attracting users to find out company brand

identity and provide a platform and items such as logos, packaging,

staff attire,stores, posters and marketing platforms are also

like engaging social media to make it more engaging and effective

for this branding to the audience.

In this project, I chose to rebrand Boro coconut cookies

product. The main reason I chose this brand is because I saw

the Boro product, which is kuih bangkit traditional cookies,

has high potential, but this product has some shortcomings.

Among the shortcomings is that they have no appeal in terms

of visual packaging. In addition, Boro packaging is also not

comparable to other famous brand products in Malaysian

market. I really hope that traditional cookies could outsell

just like any other snacks in market

Kelantan.The name of owner fresh milk is Sukeri Mamat.I had

rebranding the new identity for "Susu Segar dan Dadih" product

such as a logo, packaging, design packaging, and new name

product.The new name product for 'Susu Segar dan Dadih" is

FRESHCO.My design logo theme based on splash milk and make a

shape of cloud.The style use is mark logos includes any

combination of images and word. And the colors used for

typography are blue navy blue, gradient of light blue, red and

white. Also used white outline to highlight Freshco font and

Splash milk.The design of packaging I used based on splash

milk.The Dadih just have a one flvours such as original

red and white. Also used white outline

to highlight Freshco font and splash

milk.

"Keropok Cap Juara" is also one of the snack products produced

by small and medium industries in Kelantan, Malaysia. This

product is an instant fish cracker product that has its own

uniqueness. This product is a local product and very popular

in Kelantan. In addition, this product is suitable for all

ages and can be taken anywhere. This product produces 2 types

of options flavor, the original taste and 'sambal sira'. But

these products also face problems in expanding their products

to market.
