David Sedaris<br />
road following the release of his most deeply personal<br />
and darkly hilarious collection, “Calypso,” where Sedaris<br />
sets his formidable powers of observation toward<br />
middle age and mortality. His powers of observation<br />
have never been sharper, and his ability to shock readers<br />
into laughter unparalleled. Much of the comedy<br />
here is born out of that dizzying moment when your<br />
own body betrays you and you realize that the story<br />
of your life is made up more past than future. Sedaris’s<br />
humor is autobiographical and self-deprecating and often<br />
concerns his family life, his middle-class upbringing,<br />
his Greek heritage, homosexuality, jobs, education,<br />
obsessive behaviors and his life in France and<br />
England.<br />
Tickets to An Evening with David Sedaris are $48,<br />
$53 and $58, depending on seat location. Discounts<br />
