CALLED TO SERVE?

Are you interested in serving those in need from our church? In an effort to build a

church “Serve Team”, we are seeking those who would be willing to participate in

various (but not necessarily every single) indoor and outdoor service projects for

church members who have requested a need for help. These are minor work projects

and not demanding of expert skills, so all are encouraged to consider joining!

Contact Alex at aevanoff@butlerfumc.com if you are interested in being a part of

this team.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR A CHURCH TO BE FOCUSED ON AND DRIVEN BY THE

PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?

Save the date to hear Rev. Dr. Terry Tekyl, author and prayer evangelist,

when he’s in Western PA on October 23-24. The opportunities to hear Dr.

Tekyl speak of being a presence based church are twice at Warren First

UMC on Saturday, October 23, and once on Sunday, October 24 at

Butler First Church. In addition, on October 24, Dr. Tekyl will be preaching

First Church’s Sunday morning services. The afternoon event at First

Church will include lunch from noon - 1 p.m. in the Lower Fellowship Hall,

Downtown Campus, with the discussion beginning in the sanctuary at 1

p.m. Register online at www.butlerfumc.com/tekyl. There is a $5 fee at

the time of registration. To learn more about Rev. Dr. Terry Tekyl, go to

https://prayerpointpress.com/meet-terry-teykl/.

MISSION BARN NEEDS FLOOD BUCKETS AND HYGIENE KITS

With flooding in Western PA, in the Louisiana Conference and other areas that

were hit hard by Hurricane Ida, our Eastbrook Mission Barn needs cleaning buckets

and hygiene kits. These items can be brought to the collection areas at our Downtown

and Route 8 campuses during the month of October and will be delivered to

the Mission Barn when Fusion (grades 7 - 12) serves there on November 13th. Contact

Alex at aevanoff@butlerfumc.com with any questions. To learn more about

the supplies needed, visit:
