STORE OF THE WEEK<br />

Springfield Lakes<br />

Franchisees Matt and Kerry at Springfield<br />

Lakes have just completed a store refit. This<br />

involved an extension of the shop into the<br />

neighbouring vacant tenancy. It also included<br />

a relocation of the fun wall, counter extension,<br />

a new dairy chiller, and a new freezer as well as<br />

further fixtures to extend their range.<br />

The finished product looks amazing and<br />

compliments the team at Springfield's focus on<br />

foodservice. This year alone foodservice sales<br />

have doubled, and now make up close to 10%<br />

of the store sales at close to 60% GP!!! A huge<br />

result.<br />

Matt tells me “We’re really happy with the result<br />

here. You just need to be willing to have a go …<br />

to have a crack, which we’ve obviously done. Our<br />

customers love the layout, and our new range …<br />

and they all love our food offer.”<br />

If you haven’t had the chance already, take the<br />

time to stop by Springfield for yourself. It looks<br />

great!!!<br />

EMPLOYEE OF THE WEEK<br />

David O'Rourke<br />

Area Manager David O’Rourke took<br />

over managing stores south and west<br />

of Brisbane, as well as the Gold Coast<br />

and Toowoomba in early July.<br />

During this time, he has been focusing on<br />

improving store standards and layouts,<br />

ensuring correct products are ranged, with<br />

a focus on Wise Buys.<br />

Full store relays have been completed at<br />

Mermaid Beach, Southport, Toowoomba,<br />

Yeronga, as well as some minor changes<br />

at Fernbrook, Wakerley, and Sunnybank.<br />

The feedback and support from<br />

Franchisees has been terrific. All<br />

have been happy with the fresh look in<br />

store, and the support David and the<br />

merchandising team have given.<br />

Keep up the awesome work, David, and next time<br />

send in a photo of your smiling face!<br />

SPRING VALLEY PROMOTION P10 - Ian McLauchlan<br />

Some stores have been receiving the 375ml Spring Valley<br />

instead of the 300ml pack we are promoting. Currently only the<br />

300ml range are included in the current promotion.<br />

We will add the 375ml bottles into the promotion batch to assist<br />

in clearing old stock. They have already been removed from the<br />

planograms. Any questions on that let me know?<br />

Jeff will instigate a block to ensure no more 375ml product<br />

goes out. He will then run a report for stock supplied and will<br />

reimburse all stores that purchased 375ml product the price<br />

difference to promo price back dated to the start of P9 the<br />

25/08/21.<br />

WHITE CUPS<br />

NIGHTOWL COFFEE CUPS RUNNING OUT<br />

TEAM - We are working on a refreshed coffee offer.<br />

This will include new look cups and Point Of Sale.<br />

Tiger have run out of the existing 12oz Owl Café cups<br />

and will be supplying plain white until the new design<br />

arrives.<br />

The plain white cups use the existing lids that fit the<br />

8oz and 16oz.<br />

Troubleshooting<br />

OwlClub Card / App<br />

If a customer says he / she only<br />

signed up that day, you should try<br />

syncing your POS.<br />

Customer Card / app wont scan?<br />

A: Try ‘Member Lookup’ in POS to find the<br />

customer. If the customer still isn’t found<br />

then take the customers contact details,<br />

member number and pass onto marketing<br />

at earliest opportunity, and the provide<br />

appropriate customer experience for the<br />

situation.<br />

Product Scanning<br />

When a product doesn’t scan as expected,<br />

note down the APN or product number and<br />

email support@coyotesoftware.com.au<br />

with that number.<br />

All new products must be submitted to your<br />

area managers for review and approval<br />

based on the revised FSO planograms. For<br />
