artnering with Dementia Australia is

one of the many fundraisers that are

an important part of NAVARRA Care that

was founded in 2017 by the Navarra Family.

It is the charity arm of the business and

our venues are open for fundraisers. This

fundraiser shows that NAVARRA cares for

its Dementia victims.

Having a close family member diagnosed

with this disorder, has allowed the company

to see the vital importance of doing

what they can to raise both awareness

and funds to aid in future research and

NAVARRA Care

assistance. NAVARRA have partnered up

with Dementia Australia every year to put

on a charity gala at one of their venues,

including ‘The Night of Gold’ that was held

at Montage in 2019.

We look forward to our next event which is

currently being brainstormed and brought

to life by our team of incredible staff:

coordinators, chefs and banquet staff.

According to Curtin University’s, ‘Happy Workers: How satisfied are Australians at

work?’, in 2017, around 12 million Australians will work an estimated total of 20 billion

hours in paid employment. An average Australian man can expect to spend half of their

waking lives at a paying job and an average Australian woman about 38 per cent.

Given the time and commitment we spend at work each day and year, shouldn’t we aim

to make the work days more enjoyable. Here are some tips that might help:

people than your own family

sometimes. Think of weekly fun

engage with other staff.

Work takes up so much of our

lives, but we always forget that

when the work day ends, it

ends. We must not lose sight

of our friends and family. Work

might be from 9 to 5, but the

other 16 hours of our day is still

ours. Take up a hobby, a goal

to work towards outside of the

office, and be the best version

of yourself.

WHO CARES? NAVARRA CARES!

FEEDING THE

LESS FORTUNATE

Robert Herrick once pronounced, “Give,

if thou can, an alms; if not, a sweet and

gentle word. Not what we give, but what

we share, for the gift without the giver

is bare. We must give alms.” What is but

a mere and simple task, giving to someone

who does not have what you have, can

ultimately change their lives.

NAVARRA, for many years, has lived by

the philosophy of giving; whether it be a

little, or a lot. NAVARRA Care’s most recent

initiative involves our staff members heading

to the CBD one evening each week to feed

the homeless. With food made fresh by our

in-house chefs and culinary teams, the staff

at each Sydney venue take shifts in heading

into town and setting up a food van to which

we get to meet the incredible locals.

The stories that are shared, and memorable

moments made, are the special experiences

that continue to propel the NAVARRA staff

members each week; with the obvious main

drive being the genuine desire to do good,

and give back.

With his core Christian values as the backbone

to many decisions made by owner,

Filippo Navarra, the act of giving back to

our wider community has been something

instilled in the NAVARRA paradigm from

the very start. Continuing this legacy, each

year the company continues to strive for

almsgiving and charity work in everything

we do. Whether it be hosting not-for-profit

events, donating to worthy causes or starting

initiatives bound to make a little difference,

it’s all about the ‘giving back’ in order to

‘move forward’.
