ABOUT
The Montverde Academy Logo and Brand Identity Guide is designed to provide all Montverde Academy divisions, partners and vendors specific brand guidelines for
all branded communications including print, digital media and any other communications touch points.
This guide includes instructions related to color, fonts, and layout as well as specifics of logo usage and the proper use of authorized logos that are in place to represent
our school. Additional questions and information can be obtained directly from the Marketing and Communications Department.

LOGOS
The Montverde Academy circle logo is the most powerful visual representation of our institution. It embodies
our core values and unites the diverse voices within our community, making us stronger together than we
are individually. More than just a symbol, it is the face of Montverde Academy, and it should be consistently
represented across all platforms.
OFFICIAL COLOR INFORMATION
The color specifications for Montverde Academy’s brand identity are provided here. To ensure accurate color reproduction, always refer to the Pantone ®
Matching System number, as computer monitors and screens may display colors inconsistently due to varying calibration.
Black, gray, dark purple, and light gold are not primary colors for Montverde Academy and should only be used in specific one-color applications or as uniform
colors. Any use of black, light gold, or dark purple—whether in imprinting, embroidery, or as uniform colors—must be approved by the Marketing and
Communications Department before proceeding with an order.

Color codes on the following pages indicate approved apparel color that a logo or mark can
be embroidered or imprinted on. Other colors must be approved by the Marketing and
Communications Department.

MONTVERDE ACADEMY PRIMARY CIRCLE LOGO
The Circle Logo is our primary identity mark, designed to represent
Montverde Academy (MVA) to a wide audience. Its impact is most
powerful when used independently, without the presence of other
visual elements. It must not be altered or combined with other
logos. Whenever possible, the primary Circle Logo (CL001) should
be used in all print and media applications.

THE MARKETING LOCKUP (page 6) offers
a consistent and easily recognizable mark
for Montverde Academy, to be used across
all marketing materials, both digital and
print, featuring the secondary wordmark.
For design flexibility, the lockup is available
in both horizontal and vertical orientations,
with either purple or gold text, depending on
the background image or color. The most
important consideration is ensuring the
lockup remains distinguishable and legible.
MONTVERDE ACADEMY SECONDARY CIRCLE LOGO
The secondary circle logo should be used when the primary
logo does not work effectively with the background. Versions are
available in PMS 255c (MVA Purple) and PMS 122c (MVA Gold).
All MVA logos—whether institutional, campus, sports, or lockups—
must be used exactly as provided. They should never be edited,
recreated, or used in part.

Garamond Pro
MONTVERDE ACADEMY PRIMARY WORDMARKS
When using the Montverde Academy wordmark in either Garamond Pro or Nimbus,
always use an approved logo file (see left). Do not recreate the wordmark or logo.
The mark may be resized, but always maintain the correct proportions by locking the
aspect ratio, ensuring both height and width are scaled together.

The Garamond Pro wordmark has a traditional look and should be used in more
formal and academic marketing materials. The Nimbus wordmark is modern,
professional, and more informal, making it suitable for casual or contemporary
contexts.

SECONDARY WORDMARK
The MVA acronym wordmark is represented by the letter MVA presented as a unit. This wordmark may be used
as a lockup for uniforms, apparel and promotional materials. DO NOT RECREATE THE WORDMARK. The mark
may be resized, but always constrain proportions by locking the aspect ratio, so the height and width are scaled
together. It can be used in conjunction with the Nimbus Montverde Academy wordmark, and is one of the view
instances that Montverde Academy may be stacked.
APPROVED SECONDARY WORDMARK LOCKUPS
The uniform lockup is one of the few instances
where the Montverde Academy wordmark may
be stacked. Any other use of this wordmark
in a stacked format must be approved by the
Marketing and Communications Department.

Below are a few club and society lockup examples. The tracking can be adjusted to 50 so that the club
or society name exceeds the wordmark. All lockups must be approved by the Marketing and Communications
Department. MVA Employees should submit requests for apparel and other promotional items via the portal located
under mymva at montverde.org.

LOGO Minimum Allowable Size
REPRODUCTION AND LEGIBILITY
Each of MVA’s logos and marks has a minimum allowable size to ensure clear
reproduction and legibility. They should not be used at a size smaller than what
is specified on this page. The artwork should only be used at these minimum
sizes when absolutely necessary.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If the logo is not included in this guide, do not use it. Faculty and staff can
request a logo through the Marketing, Media, and Communications Request
Portal or via mymva on the montverde.org site. If you’re still unsure, please
contact the Marketing and Communications Department (see page 2 for
contact information).

To maintain the integrity and consistency of all Montverde Academy logos and
word marks, logos may not be reconstructed or altered in any way. The following
is a general list to indicate unacceptable treatments of our logos.
• Do not place logo on patterned or image background

• Do not skew, stretch or warp logo
• Do not crop or bleed logo off page
• Do not tilt or rotate logo
• Use ONLY official MVA colors (see page 4)

Primary Marks - Theatre Conservatory, Music Conservatory, and Dance Conservatory
The Conservatory logos consist of theatre, music, and dance conservatories as separate entities.

CLUBS, SOCIETIES, CAMPS, AND NON-MVA PROGRAMS
Clubs such as K-Kids, Kiwanis, etc. and societies (Honor Council,
HLI, etc.) that have specific school approved logos should contact
the Marketing and Communications Department prior to ordering any
merchandise for review and approval.
Secondary Mark - Fine Arts Conservatories
The Fine Arts Conservatories logo is used primarily in marketing and solely by the
Academy. It should not be altered in any way or be combined with other logos.
*Other use of this logo, including lockups, will require approval
from the Marketing and Communications Department.
COMPLIANCE REVIEW AND APPROVAL
Use of our marks on promotional items and merchandise should
be done with thought and purpose. Use of Montverde Academy
marks by any organization implies association. All usage of our
marks must be approved by the Marketing and Communications
Department this includes:

Montverde Academy’s 130-acre campus offers a visually rich backdrop that reflects our diverse, dynamic
community and holistic student experience. Our photography is a critical tool in expressing our brand—
capturing not only the scenic beauty of our environment but also the vibrant academic, artistic, and athletic
life that defines us.
We aim for photography that feels natural yet intentional, using a blend of expansive aerial imagery, candid
student life moments, and thoughtfully planned marketing shoots. Each image should authentically reflect
what it’s like to live and learn at Montverde Academy.
With a comprehensive photo library and an in-house Getty professional photographer and videographer, we
have the resources to uphold high standards. Let’s be mindful not to default to what’s convenient—investing
a few extra minutes to find or capture the right image ensures every visual supports a cohesive, powerful
message about who we are.
