ON THE COVER:
During the lockdowns
in India over the
past year and a half,
day-laborer families,
like Gitika’s, lost
their livelihoods and
needed help to meet
their basic needs.
Sugandh assisted in
getting identification

that families could
receive food. For many
families, Sugandh
provided rations of
food and other basic

Dear Friends,
I am pleased to present Oakseed’s Bazaar Catalog. This is
a wonderful way to give gifts during the Christmas season
or designate your year-end donations. In the following
pages, you will see giving opportunities for each of
Oakseed’s twenty-one Ministry Partners. These gifts
range from providing an impoverished family with food
and essential supplies to ensuring quality medical care for
a malnourished child, pregnant mother, or AIDS patient.
You can provide baseballs, craft supplies, books, and even
animals - there really is something perfect for anyone
you know! When you give your friends and family a
gift through the Bazaar Catalog, you allow them to join
the work Oakseed’s Ministry Partners are doing to meet
significant physical and spiritual needs.
Last year, the Lord used the Bazaar Catalog to provide
abundantly for His children. The gifts Oakseed was able
to give to our Ministry Partners were beyond anything
we expected. These provisions came at a time when
the vulnerable were in critical need. The gifts given
through the Bazaar Catalog have truly changed the lives
of thousands of people worldwide. Thank you for your
faithful prayers and generosity. We have confidence that
the Lord hears the prayers of His people and answers in
amazing ways.
Soli Deo Gloria!

“For the needy shall not always be forgotten,
and the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.”
– Psalm 9:18
“I was able to see the distribution of Bibles purchased
through the Bazaar Catalog to children in the baseball
teams. They all value it very much. The first thing they do
is write their names in it to keep it as their own. It is great
to see the Bibles being studied by these at-risk children.”
– Carlos Dourado, Oakseed Ministry Liaison for ABBS
“We are truly thankful to everyone for
supporting us both physically and spiritually!
We are truly thankful for your prayers, as
God has truly continued to keep us protected
as we go out and distribute rations. We are
all doing well, and even our health is doing
good! We have been able to help around
135 families so far, and it was truly made
possible by your contribution and prayers!
We are truly thankful for the Bazaar
Catalog! And for all the gifts that have
helped with our work with the community
members.” – Thangtei David, Sugandh
“We will never forget the day that Ezequiel came.
Ezequiel’s mom got depressed after his birth and
was unable to care for him. Ezequiel’s father took
him to the National Children’s Hospital for a
medical checkup, but the bad news was he was
losing weight, and the hospital could not help.
Praise God the hospital knows about our program.
We immediately accepted him. The tears of Mr.
Raymundo leaving his son here broke our hearts.
Each time Ezequiel’s parents visited, we prayed
with them, gave counseling, and shared the Gospel.
We were able to see the change that God made in
his mom, how God transformed a mom who was
in shock and did not know how to help her son, to
be a mom very concerned about him. When we
discharged Ezequiel, his father was working, and his
mom was able to care for him. We thank
God that we were able to help Ezequiel
and his family through the support of
Oakseed International Ministries. The
Bazaar catalog enabled us to pay for
milk, supplements, and laboratory exams
that he needed during the time with
us. Without your help and support, we
know that we wouldn’t be able to do it.”

Brazilian Baseball and Softball
Associação Brasileira de Beisebol e Softbol (ABBS)
São José dos Campos, Brazil
Oakseed’s Ministry Partner since 2002
ABBS uses baseball as an opportunity to share the Gospel with at-risk
children of São José dos Campos, Brazil. Children from the favelas
(slums) attend ABBS’s weekly Bible study and baseball skill training
session. Through these sessions, children and their parents learn how to
apply God’s Word to their lives. The children also have the opportunity
to form safe, Christ-centered friendships within their baseball family.
After being closed for the 2020 season, ABBS was able to reopen for Bible
Studies and practice. However, they suspended the season again in April
due to a second wave of the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil. ABBS has
used this time to care for families in need and develop relationships with
local churches and businesses.
The Brazilian Association of Baseball
and Softball (ABBS) is led by Agnaldo
Verissimo da Silva, a former juvenile
offender who came to Christ through
the ministry of JEAME (Oakseed
Partner) in São Paulo. After his
conversion, Agnaldo wanted to “make
a difference” for Christ through
reaching children for the Lord by
teaching them baseball, a sport that is
little known in Brazil. Agnaldo has now been faithfully teaching children how to swing
bats and read Bibles for more than two decades.

CEMIPRE
Valparaíso, Chile
Oakseed’s Ministry Partner since 2020
CEMIPRE is a special needs ministry that focuses primarily on adults
who have lost their sight. Through its training center, CEMIPRE seeks to
evangelize and rehabilitate the blind. They provide training to meet daily
needs, like using a cane for orientation, learning to use smart devices and
computers for the blind, and teaching Braille using the Bible as the course
text. CEMIPRE meets needs related to the emotional and physical aspects
of blindness while calling men and women to spiritual sight. Despite the
pandemic, CEMIPRE has seen an increase in men and women asking for
help. Virtual classes and Bible Studies have been well attended.
Nora is in her fifties and has been going blind for about ten years. She
came to CEMIPRE to get the tools she needed to manage her life on her
own. When she began to lose her sight, Norah went through a grieving
process before accepting that blindness was part of her future. Now she
is full of enthusiasm and optimism. She has found learning braille to
be very difficult but is finding help at the learning center. CEMIPRE
uses the Bible to teach braille, and Nora has now memorized sections
of Isaiah that tell about the coming of Christ. When she came to
CEMIPRE, one of Norah’s goals was to learn to use the white cane.
Nora’s house is on a hillside and is only accessible by stairs. Sadly, there
was an arson on the hillside, and Nora’s home caught fire. She was able
to escape using the cane skills she learned at CEMIPRE. Without them,
she may have died. CEMIPRE is praying that through their ministry,
Nora comes to saving faith and receives spiritual life.

for and raising 51 orphans among eight different family settings, each with a
house mother employed to live with and take care of the children. Their secondary
program involves providing support services to over 200 vulnerable children in
their community. Children in both programs are enrolled in school and go to
Hanna Orphan’s Home after school each day, where they receive a daily meal and
participate in Bible studies.

Home (HOH) at seven years old when I became a full orphan. I grew up at
HOH and started my schooling there at grade one. I am now in college, studying
Sociology. I am also employed as a part-time social worker at HOH.
I came to know Jesus and accepted Him as my personal savior as a child at HOH.
We were assigned to live in groups, and the children where I had been assigned
told me about Jesus and invited me to their church. It was there that I decided to
be a Christian. Therefore, HOH is everything to me. My life is highly interwoven
with the organization.
Hanna, the founder, and director of HOH, is my lovely mother. HOH showed
me meaning to life, education, and a job as well in my profession. I have learned
discipleship in my church and was baptized. I have a lot of brothers and sisters
who are Christians that grew up in this new life at HOH. It is now my turn to tell
children about Jesus and invite them to accept Jesus.”

Oakseed’s Ministry Partner since 2005
Heart & Hands is a ministry to elderly widows (affectionately
referred to as grannies) who have lost their own children to
AIDS and are now caring for their orphaned grandchildren.
With compassion, the ministry breaks through the shame and
stigma associated with AIDS to meet physical and spiritual
needs. Heart & Hands feeds families by delivering food
packages and helping the grannies start gardens. The gardens
provide a source of food, income, and dignity. Many of the
grannies suffer from HIV or other illnesses. Heart & Hands arranges for the grannies
to receive the medical treatment they need. The staff visits frequently encouraging
and praying with these women. The love of Christ, shown by Heart & Hands, is
transforming lives.

Granny Ida is 90 years old and has
cared for her 17-year-old grandson
since he was a boy. She received a copy
of the Bible through the Bazaar Catalog
and spent much of her time reading it.
She says the ministry of Heart & Hands
has been an answer to her prayers.
During a recent visit, Heart & Hands
found Ida inside her hut singing and
praying. That day, she had run out of
food and coal and had no idea how
she would have the food to eat her next
meal. Heart & Hands was visiting
with a gift of food and other essential
supplies. Ida rejoiced in the Lord’s
provision, telling Heart & Hands that their gift was a
reminder that God was with her and took care of her.
Pray for Heart & Hands:
Pray that the Lord would
transform multiple generations
through H&H as they show
God’s love to grannies and their

Ministério JEAME
São Paulo, Brazil
Oakseed’s Ministry Partner since 1994
JEAME (an acronym for Jesus Loves Minors)
conducts evangelistic services in 11 juvenile detention
centers in Sāo Paulo, Brazil, reaching 1,400 teenagers
each week. JEAME is located a few blocks from a
drug-infested area of Sāo Paulo named “Cracolândia”
(roughly “crack town”). JEAME conducts regular
street evangelistic efforts and prayer walks through
Cracolândia. Follow-ups from these efforts include
both Christian discipleship and vocational training.
After being closed for the majority of 2020, JEAME
returned to in-person visits at Fundação Casa. The
teens were happy to see them and eager to study
the Bible. In 2021, JEAME was also able to open a
community center to minister to teens who have been
released from prison.
Pray for JEAME:
Pray that through JEAME’s ministry,
incarcerated and newly released teens will
come to know the Lord and be blessed with
counseling and discipleship.
When Beatriz was 17 years old, she spent
Christmas in a detention center in São Paulo,
Brazil. She was feeling alone, without hope,
and no longer wanting to exist when JEAME
Ministry went into the prison and shared the
gospel with her at a Christmas party. JEAME
also gave Beatriz gifts at the party, including
a Bible given through the Oakseed Bazaar

Bible is a sticker with the contact information

Light of the World
Nagpur, India
Oakseed’s Ministry Partner since 2002
Light of the World serves the poor of Nagpur, India, in
the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Light of the World
operates multiple churches, a school that provides
nursery to primary level education for children unable
to afford to get into the local schools, and a vocational
center that teaches tailoring, dress design, and computer
science. Light of the World has also started a slum
mentorship program that reaches over 150 children.
Light of the World moved all services online due to
the extensive lockdowns. Food shortages and lack of
work have impacted families in the slum community,
and they are desperate for help. The ministry continues
to provide food and essential supplies to severely
impoverished families during the pandemic. This year,
they hope to provide 100 children with two sets of
clothes, school tuition, supplies, and a decent meal each
day, helping to keep kids in school and off the streets.
This outreach by Light of the World pastors will give
opportunities to share the gospel and encourage the
children to grow spiritually and academically.
“The human agony has been numbing. Out of the painful ashes of this tragedy
the Lord has brought out great testimonies of His beauty and goodness. The
authorities, out of extreme caution, put the city and slums on lockdown. It
felt like death was lurking in every corner. Daily wage workers had no work.
The choice seemed: die going out or die staying in. Yet, even if they dared go
out there was no work. Most people recover from the illness if affected, but
thousands needed medicines. The help extended by Oakseed at our critical hour
will never be forgotten. Our leaders were deeply encouraged to find their hands
strengthened by the support from Oakseed during our COVID crisis. Emergency
food rations were rushed to hundreds of families. Medical help was rendered to
the scores who reached out for help.” – Ravi Chari

Lily of the Valleys
Catanduva, Brazil
Oakseed’s Ministry Partner since 1994
Lily of the Valleys in Catanduva, Brazil, is
a Bible-based residential drug and alcohol
care program, helping teen girls and
women escape the prison of addiction and
find freedom in Christ. Lily of the Valleys
emphasizes the Gospel in their treatment
programs, believing only an encounter
with Jesus can truly free addicts from their
spiritual and physical prisons. Lily of the
Valleys has continued to welcome women to
the addiction rehabilitation program during
the pandemic while adjusting to health and
hygiene requirements changes.

“My life has been full of ups and downs. Although I have struggled, I am thankful
that God has brought me back to His way. When we go through difficulties in our
lives, our first thought is to disappear or run away. There was a time when things
were so difficult that all I could think of was to disappear. I asked my mother to take
me out of the city to live with a relative because I felt that I would be able to turn
my life around if I was away from my friends and surroundings. To change my life
meant abandoning addictions, stopping drinking, smoking, and using drugs such as
marijuana and cocaine. There was also a need to change my behavior, personality,
and attitudes, which created serious problems for my family and myself.
I arrived at Lily of the Valleys determined to turn my life around. This helped the
treatment I received to be more effective, because our liberation depends first on
our God, together with our faith and determination, and also on the angels of God
in our lives like Lourdes and Lúcia who worked at Lily of the Valleys. Jesus is the
center of my life. Walking with him makes for a happy and secure journey. When I
surrendered my life to Him, everything changed. God transformed an irresponsible
and rebellious teenager into a strong and persevering woman — a vessel to be a
blessing to others. God gave
me a wonderful family and
blessed children. No one
believed I could be changed;

Love Link
San Salvador, El Salvador
Oakseed’s Ministry Partner since 2002
Love Link serves families from the slums of San Salvador,
El Salvador. Malnourished children are brought to the
center from local hospitals. Most of the children brought
to Love Link are near death when they arrive. Love Link
provides round-the-clock care, nourishing them, providing
additional medical support, and training their families
to care for them at home. Through their community
program, Love Link also serves free daily lunches to over
600 kids at three children’s dining rooms, holds nutrition
clinics, and provides medical assessments.
After COVID closures, Love Link has now resumed
community health clinics and reopened the community
dining rooms. Praise the Lord that no staff or babies
became ill with COVID.
Sponsorship:
Will you sponsor a crib at Love Link? Babies come and go through Love
Link, and the length of their stay is determined by how quickly they recover
from the effects of severe malnutrition. Because the children are not at Love
Link long enough to be matched traditionally with a sponsor, Oakseed
offers the opportunity to sponsor a crib. We will update you when a new
baby arrives and when they are released and sent back to their families.
Sponsoring a crib allows you to pray for and support malnourished children
during a desperate time of need.
What an incredible way
to see the Lord’s healing
hand and to participate
in the transformation of
these babies! Visit www.

Link gave Gabriela a Bible and connected

“We aimed to preach the Gospel and bring these
ladies out of the life of prostitution into the light
of Jesus Christ. Some of the ladies who heard the
Gospel accepted Christ as their savior and started
attending church. But after a month, most of these
women stopped going to church. They told us that
they had no other way to earn money for their
children since they have no education or job skills.
Because of this, the church was unprepared and
hesitant to include them. This was something we
never expected and made us cry.”
Love Never Fails now trains pastors to care for
women with broken pasts and blesses the women
with new job skills to earn a respectable living.
Love Never Fails:
Pray that through the work of Love Never Fails
many men and women with AIDS will
come to know the compassion of Christ
and be comforted in body and soul.

MISIUR
Misión Integral Urbano Rural
Lima, Peru
Oakseed’s Ministry Partner since 2000
MISIUR seeks to improve the quality of life of the most
impoverished children in Peru through comprehensive
spiritual and physical care. MISIUR operates two afterschool
programs that serve over 100 children and teens
each day. These programs create a safe place away from
gang violence where the children are fed physically and
through Bible study. MISIUR also operates “Bread of
Life,” a program that offers nutritious daily lunch and a
Scripture lesson five days a week for approximately 500
children in the slums of Lima, Ayacucho, Moyobamba,
and Trujillo.
Percy and Jenny Perez and their three
children Ccori (age 7), Daniel (age 17), and
Flor (age 21), were recipients of a water jug
from MISIUR. Percy and Jenny operate a
food cart, but their business was shut down
due to COVID restrictions. Their family
is surviving on their small savings and a
meager stipend from the government. They
saw the needs in their community and
began a “Common Pot” from their kitchen.
Unlike a soup kitchen, this dining room
depends on the community’s donations
rather than government assistance. The neighbors are sharing what they have
and together feed 130 people each day. The water jug purchased through
Oakseed’s COVID Relief special gift provides water for the Perez family
and all who receive food through the Common Pot. Ccori became ill from
COVID, and MISIUR cared for her and her family during her illness. Praise
the Lord that she has fully recovered. Ccori is looking forward to returning to
in-person activities at MISIUR, and the family is active in MISIUR’s virtual
child programs and family Bible Studies.

Mission Bethel
Monrovia, Liberia
Oakseed’s Ministry Partner since 2020
Mission Bethel shows the compassion of God to the very poor in the slums
of Monrovia. Liberia is one of the poorest countries in the world, with about
84% of the population living below the poverty line of $1.25 per day. Over 500
impoverished children attend the Christian school at Mission Bethel, which
serves as a feeder for families to attend Mission Bethel Church. Liberia has no
prenatal care; Mission Bethel also operates a pregnancy center that provides
counseling, clothing, toys, vitamins, and instruction on prenatal and postnatal
care, infant care, and delivery assistance.
Sponsorship:
Will you sponsor a child like Blama? Blama is in second
grade at Mission Bethel. He lives with his mother who sells
used clothing in their slum community to earn money for
their family. Like most families in Monrovia, Liberia, his
mother earns under $1.25 a day for this work. Blama loves
to play with toys, eat fruit and hopes to someday be a pilot.
Mission Bethel is helping Blama and his mother in the name
of Christ. At Mission Bethel, Blama receives a free education, including tuition,
uniforms, school fees and supplies. He has access to medical care and necessities.

Morning Light
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Oakseed’s Ministry Partner since 2021
Morning Light is a refuge for the needy, serving 243 widows, single mothers,
and orphans in the slums outside of Addis Ababa. Children are given meals,
medical attention if needed, tutoring in various subjects, and can participate
in fun activities. Women receive job training, health care, counseling, and
income-generating opportunities. With this support, they gain self-esteem and
can provide for the basic needs of their families. Morning Light has a holistic
approach to ministry that meets physical needs while sharing the comfort and
refuge found in Christ.
Mrs. Meseret Tesfaye founded the
ministry after the birth of her third
child. The delivery was life-threatening
and reminded her of the fragility of life.
She asked what the Lord wanted her
to do with her remaining time. With
degrees in science and public health
and experience volunteering in the
slums, she found that serving others
in the name of Christ was the deep
longing of her heart.

Pray for Mustard Seed Orphanage:
Since the military coup on February 1, the country of Myanmar has seen political

arrived at Mustard Seed because I did not feel lonely as I have many sisters
and brothers at Mustard Seed. I was very happy when Nu Nu (Mawi Te) gave

experience it in my life. Now, the most important thing in my life is that I know
that I am saved in Jesus Christ. The Lord has give me the best parents, Pa Pa

Reformed Hearts Orphans Center (RHOC) lovingly provides homes for 35
orphans – caring for children at the orphanage and with seven families from
the local church. RHOC believes “that every child deserves a loving home, a
family and parents or caretakers who cater to the child’s physical and emotional
well-being and development. We believe that children belong in homes and
families and not in institutions.” With this commitment, RHOC is caring for
orphans in the name of Christ, instructing them in solid, Biblical teaching. The

SACDEM
Christian Assistance Service for the Detainee
and the Mentally Ill
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Oakseed’s Ministry Partner since 1998
SACDEM works with marginalized groups that have been rejected by society,
including but not limited to prisoners, the mentally ill, people living in extreme
poverty, and children born in prison. SACDEM develops prison Bible studies,
offering counseling and help to inmates to make the depth of God’s forgiveness
and grace understandable. In addition, SACDEM helps newly released prisoners
reintegrate into society. In Argentina, children born to mothers in prison live with
their mothers in the penitentiary system until they turn four. SACDEM takes care
of these children of prisoners weekly, offering them a safe place to play and a break
from the prison environment. After the child turns four and leaves prison, SACDEM
provides foster care for those who have no other relatives to care for them.
Argentina has experienced several strict lockdowns during which no visitors have
been allowed into prisons or psychiatric facilities. Daniel has been able to deliver
packages to prisoners in the prisons personally. Staff at SACDEM is also spending
a lot of time in counseling. Sadly, lockdown restrictions have led to a surge in
domestic violence and sexual abuse.
The SACDEM “Fun Day Outside” Retreat is the highlight of the year for many
of the 75 patients served from Borda Psychiatric Hospital. This all-day outing
includes an all-you-can-eat barbecue buffet, recreation, and a worship service.
The SACDEM staff and a dozen other volunteers make this a very special day
of ministry for men with great needs. The entire cost of this gift goes toward
transportation and food for the retreat.

Sugandh
New Delhi, India
Oakseed’s Ministry Partner since 2004
The Sugandh Child Development Centre,
located in a slum in South Delhi, has been
transforming the lives of working children
for 22 years. Before going to work as trash collectors in the marketplace, children
aged 6-10 come for two hours. They receive a meal and are taught reading,
writing, and mathematics. Here they also learn about Jesus. Sugandh also operates
a Bible and vocational skills school where young adults and teenagers learn
sewing, painting, and card making. In addition, Sugandh offers savings and loan
cooperative groups to women in the slum who do not have the documentation
needed for a bank account, or the cost of getting to a bank exceeds what they can
save in a month. Money from savings and low-interest loans from the cooperative
groups has enabled women to buy small plots of land in their villages, cover
medical expenses, and fund their children’s education.
During the pandemic, Sugandh has been distributing food and essentials within
the slums. Unfortunately, they have found the situation even more desperate than
they expected. They have had to decide on the neediest individuals to direct their
help, but even the “less needy” are very much in need. Families they work with are
even eating rotten food to keep from starving.

Pray for Sugandh:
Pray that the Lord will uphold
the staff at Sugandh as they
minister to families in the
slums, protecting them from
disease and granting them
stamina.
When Sugandh staff visited Jahid’s family in the slum, his father told them that
their youngest son, Jahid, had not been going to school for the past two years
because the government school would not admit him. Jahid was invited to join
Sugandh’s non-formal school, and there he was able to resume his education.
After two months of tuition help, a Sugandh teacher accompanied Jahid’s parents
in another attempt to admit him at the local government school, where they
learned the cause of the problems with admission - lack of required documents.
Sugandh was able to guide the parents through the process of getting the
necessary documents, and eventually, Jahid was finally admitted to the school.
While the process of obtaining official documents may be straightforward for
many people, for people who are poor and illiterate like Jahid’s parents, the whole
process is often too expensive or daunting. Sadly, this often means, as in Jahid’s
case, that their children miss out on the blessing of education.

Teen Ministry
Cairo, Egypt
Oakseed’s Ministry Partner
since 2001
Teen Ministry brings love and hope into the lives of girls living in the “garbage
city” of Cairo, Egypt. At its center, Teen Ministry provides a place where the
girls from the garbage slums can receive medical and dental services, learn
about hygiene, and hear the Gospel. Teen Ministry teaches these young girls
to find joy in Christ, devoting time to prayer and Bible study. In the area that
Teen Ministry operates, girls are often abused and neglected. Teen Ministry
shows them genuine love, often for the first time in their lives.
Teen Ministry was forced to close the center during the coronavirus lockdown
period. However, they have now reopened with increased cleaning protocols.
Girls are finding refuge again in this place. Teen Ministry has also provided
food to the girls and their families, either picked up at the center or delivered
to their homes. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Teen Ministry has
seen spiritual fruit in the lives of many girls.

Maggie (15 years old) is the oldest child in her family. In 2020, Maggie’s father died of
a drug overdose, leaving the family with no source of income. An uncle took control of
the financial aspects of Maggie’s family and also began controlling their life. Maggie
was no longer allowed to come to Teen Ministry and was
isolated from others. Still grieving the loss of her dad,
Maggie became very depressed. A teacher from Teen
Ministry visited Maggie at home and could bring Maggie
to her own home for brief periods every day. All of the
girls at Teen Ministry prayed fervently for Maggie. The
Lord answered their prayers, giving Maggie strength and
hope. Amazingly, Maggie scored 98.5% in her 9th-grade
exams, which determine her academic future. Even more
significant, Maggie is stronger in her faith and knows that
God loves and cares for her.
Underprivileged young people always hope to one day eat at
McDonalds or Kentucky Fried Chicken, considered an expensive
restaurant in the slums of Cairo. Muslim men have been known to
take girls there for a meal to convince them to convert. To combat
this, Teen Ministry takes the girls to a restaurant like KFC at
least twice a year, removing the temptation to put themselves in
dangerous situations trying to get a “fancy meal.”
Pray for Teen Ministry:
Pray that Teen Ministry will be a haven of safety,
love, and spiritual renewal for teen girls in the
garbage district.
Would you consider giving a college education? Four girls are hoping to begin
University this next year. Would you consider funding the education for Dalia,
Mary, Mona, or Soso?

Oakseed Ministries
International
US Headquarters
Oakseed Ministries International assists indigenous ministries
serving abandoned children and the poor in the world’s largest
cities by supporting Ministry Partners through prayer, support,
and training. At their headquarters, Oakseed produces prayer
guides to engage supporters, churches, families, and children
praying for Ministry Partners. Oakseed keeps supporters and
friends informed about Ministry Partners through email, social media updates, and
this Bazaar Gift Catalog, engaging churches and congregations to pray for the world’s
poor and those who serve among them.
Oakseed’s Ministry Liaisons (pages 53-55) are vital to the Oakseed missions model.
Oakseed Ministry Liaisons are each responsible for a different region of the world
and make regular visits to Ministry Partners to learn what they are doing, provide
training and resources, and encourage those who are on the frontlines of ministry
to the world’s poor. Ministry Liaisons also help identify potential ministries for
future partnerships.
We are grateful to those who have blessed our Ministry Partners, particularly during
this challenging year. Ministry leaders face unprecedented challenges in their
work with new restrictions, but they have also seen the needs and requests for help,
opening doors that had never before been open and allowing them to serve and
show those around them the love of Jesus Christ. Thank you for partnering with
Oakseed as we walk alongside those serving the poor for the Glory of God.

The Lord has been using the Bazaar catalog to bless our Ministry Partners for many
years. On one visit to India, Oakseed Founder Ed Bradley shared with a Ministry
Partner the news that two laptops had been given through the Bazaar Catalog. Later
that morning, they met with the staff and began sharing their concerns for prayer. At
the top of the list was the loss of their laptop computer which two staff had left in the
back of a rickshaw after a seminar. There had been tears, and the staff had all decided
to give up a portion of their salaries so that in six months they could get a replacement.
There was great disappointment at the future loss of productivity over the next few
months. The Director stood up and said, “Can I interrupt? Before we pray, I think God
has already answered our prayers! Ed has an announcement.” Ed stood up and shared,
“Through the Oakseed Bazaar, we have received funds for TWO laptops for your
ministry.” There was much cheering and tears as the staff jumped up and down with joy.
The Lord had graciously provided in advance.
Pray for Oakseed Ministries:
Pray that the Lord would bless the relationships we have with our
current partners and open the right doors for Oakseed to find and
cultivate future partnerships with new ministries.

Oakseed’s Mission, Vision,
and Strategy
Since 1992, our mission has been for Oakseed Ministries to assist indigenous
ministries who serve abandoned children and the poor in the developing world’s
largest cities, bringing the good news of Jesus in word and action.
The vision for Oakseed Ministries comes from Isaiah 61:3:
“Bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of
mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called
oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.””
Oakseed aims to plant “oaks of righteousness” among the poorest of the poor,
breaking the chains of poverty with the power of the gospel.
Our strategy is to empower Ministry Partners through:
n Prayer—Praying and mobilizing
prayer partners in support of
Ministry Partners as they share
the gospel and work to bring
transformation among the urban
poor and their communities.
Diana enjoys birthday gifts
from her sponsor
n Capacity building—Helping
fulfill the vision of the
indigenous ministry through
long-term relationships and
creative entrepreneurial support,
including the development of
income-generating and selfsustaining
projects.
A letter from Genet to her sponsor.

49
n Training—Bringingministry expertise for on-site
training and counseling in response to local needs.
n Financial Support—Providing financial support for
indigenous ministries without creating dependency.
Oakseed Ministry Partners are:
n Indigenous. Ministries are nationally initiated and locally
founded, developed, and administered.
n Targeted. Oakseed’s Ministry Partners focus on the urban
poor living in the world’s megacities.
n Exemplary. Oakseed seeks to partner with ministries that
have the potential to be models, teaching others how to
replicate their methods and work.
n Teachable. Oakseed looks for Ministry Partners who are
open to learning from others and living in partnership.
n Visionary. Oakseed Ministry Partners have clearly
defined visions and are committed to pursuing those
visions.
n Faithful. Ministry leaders are dedicated to serving the
Lord and leading their ministries with righteousness and
integrity.
Through ongoing relationships,
Oakseed offers Ministry Partners:
n
n
n
Regular and faithful prayer support.
Ongoing financial support as well as support
for special one-time projects. (To avoid
creating dependency, Oakseed support never
exceeds 30% of an organization’s operating
budget. Oakseed also assists ministry
leadership in finding and developing their
own funding resources.)
On-site and off-site training, including
international training programs that offer a
significant benefit for a partner’s leadership.
n Consultation and relationship building. Ministry
Liaisons visit Ministry Partners at least once a year and
are available throughout the year to provide advice and
resources to assist the ministry in its development.

Our Ministry Liaisons
Oakseed’s Ministry Liaisons help identify potential Ministry Partners
and determine their suitability for an Oakseed partnership. Through
a process of site visits, checking references, and meeting with the
organization’s leadership, Ministry Liaisons evaluate potential partners
based on their ministry, reputation, faith, focus, local support, and
community impact. Ministry Liaisons also consider how Oakseed can
partner with the ministry and the type of assistance the ministry would
like to receive from Oakseed.

“Praise be to God our LORD who gave you such a merciful
heart to Jesus and God’s children. It is always amazing to
learn of your great love and especially how you are laboring
for us during this difficult time when COVID claimed
thousands of lives and paralyzed people’s normal activities
worldwide. With the information about the Bazaar gifts for
RHOC, nobody could ever imagine if these great gifts could
come out of such a situation!!! What a mighty Father that we
have!! What a mighty LORD that we serve!!! To Him be the
glory, Honor and Dominion Forever and Ever.”
– Andrew Onserio, Reformed Hearts Orphans Center
“I can’t express how blessed we were by the
previous Bazaar Gift Catalog and give praises
and glory to God for His wonderful blessings.
Widows were blessed with goats, which helped
them initiate small goat farms enabling them
to get milk and a small income. Elderly people
were blessed by the food baskets we gave them
from the Bazaar gifts. Our children had their
first term’s school fees covered; it was a huge
blessing for us here as a ministry. We stand in
prayers for you and the entire Oakseed staff for
supporting Jesus’ Wind of Victory activities.
We strongly believe your continuous support, generosity and
wisdom will help us to grow more as we draw more souls to God’s
Kingdom.” – Julius Wamimbi, Jesus’ Wind of Victory

Ways to Pray for Oakseed Ministry Partners
1. Pray for the health and safety of ministry leaders and
volunteers, who often serve in high-risk and dangerous areas.
2. Pray for freedom for those held in physical and spiritual
bondage by addiction, poverty, violence, and sin. Pray that
God will open doors and set the captives free.
3. Pray for hearts to be open to the gospel and for the
opportunity to proclaim Christ to those who need Him most.
4. Pray for favor in the eyes of government officials and
national leaders who may be skeptical of or antagonistic
toward the Christian faith.
5. Pray for provision of practical needs such as places to meet,
food for children, Bibles to distribute, and equipment for
job training programs. Ask God to multiply resources for
these ministries.
“And this is the
confidence that
we have toward
Him, that if we
ask anything
according to His
will He hears us.”
