Wrap Up Wigan
Residents are being urged by The Brick to clear their
wardrobes of any unwanted coats and any other
unwanted winter clothing to help the homeless stay
warm this winter. The Wrap Up Wigan campaign has
been launched by The Brick, which supports people
facing homelessness and poverty in Wigan and Leigh.
In particular, The Brick is looking for people to donate
new or good quality coats (adults and children’s sizes),
winter clothing, shoes, toiletries, hats, gloves, scarves,
socks and underwear.
If you have any suitable donations, then please drop
them off at their shops at 160 Gidlow Lane in Wigan or 13
Railway Street in Leigh or you can drop them at The Brick
Works at 4 Hodson Street, Wigan.

Boogie Bingo
Eyes down and get your dabbers ready for the ultimate
bingo event on Saturday November 6. Boogie Bingo,
organised by Lisa McAllister from the Professionals of
Wigan networking group, will take place at the DW
Stadium from 7pm till late in a bid to raise much needed
funds for Wigan and Leigh Hospice.
You can look forward to an exciting combination of
fun, a live show, a raffle and a serious game of bingo!
Tickets cost £25 per person, and this includes light bite
refreshments on the night.

Festive Ashton
All roads lead to Ashton-in-Makerfield on Sunday 5th
December when the market square on Garswood Street
plays host to Ashton Christmas Markets. You can enjoy
family fun with festive stalls and music.
One of the many attractions on offer is the chance to visit
Santa in a magical winter wonderland. The event runs
from 1-6pm and the light switch on will take place later
in the afternoon.
