Santa’s Zooming In
Wigan Rotary Club have announced that Santa will be
out and about again from the 1st December, both on the
streets of Wigan and appearing online from Santa’s HQ in
the North Pole.
Following last year’s successful launch of their Santa
zoom sessions, children will once again be able to Zoom
with Santa this Christmas. Full details of the sessions
will be available the Wigan Rotary Club’s website and
Facebook page from Monday 22nd November, and you’ll
be able to book your slot there too.
Santa will also be touring the streets of Wigan in December
and will make the occasional guest appearance at the
Tesco Extra at Central Park, Wigan.
Full details of the routes he will cover and the days at
Tesco’s Central Park will be on the club’s website and
Facebook page towards the end of November
All the profit from these events will be used to provide
support for local community and voluntary groups, and to
aid organisations involved in humanitarian work overseas.
If you fancy volunteering to be one of Santa’s Little Helpers
for 2/3 hours during December to help the club with
these events, then please either email wiganrotary1924@
virginmedia.com or ring 07813 471000. The Rotary
would welcome any form of help from individuals and
businesses.
Christmas Fair
Volunteers from the Woodlands Animal Sanctuary in
Holmeswood will be hosting a Christmas Fair at Parbold
Village Hall on Saturday, November 20.
The fair will take place between 11am-3pm and will be a
great way to get yourself into the festive spirit and help
to raise much needed funds for the cats, hedgehogs and
ponies that will be living at the shelter this winter.
There will be plenty of stalls for you to browse around,
delicious festive treats to keep your energy up, not to
mention a Teddy Tombola. So why not get your Christmas
shopping off to a flying start and bring the family for a
day out?
