The Green Trail at Oakland Nature Preserve, 747<br />
Machete Trail, Oakland, hosts the Pumpkin Glow<br />
Jack-o’-Lantern Trail, a family-friendly event that features<br />
a nighttime hike approximately 3 miles long.<br />
Attendees should bring flashlights or lanterns and<br />
are encouraged to bring a carved jack-o’-lantern<br />
to display (but not necessary). If desired, there is<br />
a best carved pumpkin contest to participate in,<br />
and winners are selected by age group. Costumes<br />
are allowed, and there are candy bags for the<br />
kids. Time: Friday at 6 p.m. through Saturday at 9<br />
p.m. Admission is donation based with all proceeds<br />
