e‘re making totally plastic-free cargo.
With our packaging made from
recycled paper; cards made from
sugar cane pulp, and jute yarn, the
cargo is in a bag-free way. :)
What is the importance of
sustainability from your perspective in
textile? With the same sensibility, what
do you care about in the company you
get production done?
The first factor that led up to the founding of Perkup
was the question of how we could make the conditions
of textile workers fairer. That’s why the importance of
sustainability on textile is very massive. Firstly, for
workers to have fair salaries and social rights is our
invariable rule. Later, we attach importance to women's
employment. Apart from it, we act with the minimum
waste goal in the production phase too. Right now,
we’re producing with a very small team. As our
production line gets bigger, we’re imagining making
investments to fair, ethical, and sensitive production, by
applying to social responsibility certificates like Sedex.
