Entry requirements<br />
> English Grade 2 and maths grade 1 as a minimum<br />
> We will complete an assessment to find out which<br />
course level is right for you.<br />
> A positive attitude and a keen interest in the<br />
creative industries.<br />
> You will need to attend an introductory ‘taster’<br />
session before the course starts, to see if it is the<br />
right course for you.<br />
About the course<br />
Try out different areas such as photography, digital<br />
graphics & photo-manipulation, 2D animation, as<br />
well as TV and video production. Previous students<br />
have had the opportunity to visit the National Science<br />
& Media Museum, to see creative media in action and<br />
listen to talks from professionals. Throughout your<br />
studies, you will gain personal & social development<br />
skills to help you on the course and when finding a<br />
job. As part of this course, your study programme<br />
will introduce you to other subjects alongside Media,<br />
and you will have the chance to gain important<br />
qualifications in English, maths and ICT.<br />
Entry requirements<br />
> 2 GCSEs at grade 3, to include English. Maths<br />
must be at grade 2 or above.<br />

A full Level 1 at Pass grade, plus a GCSE grade 3<br />
or above in English.<br />
> You will attend an interview and further<br />
assessment to check if the course is right for you.<br />
> In addition, you will need to have a positive<br />
attitude and a keen interest in creative media<br />
production.<br />
> You will be invited to attend a ‘taster’ session to<br />
find out more about the course.<br />
About the course<br />
If you are creative, interested in film, games,<br />
television and music, this course is for you. You will<br />
develop the skills needed to succeed in this fastpaced<br />
and dynamic industry through a combination<br />
of research and practical projects. You will explore<br />
areas such as animation, videography, and graphic<br />
production using industry-standard software. You<br />
will create posters & videos and use social media to<br />
promote events in the local area. Previous students<br />
have had the opportunity to visit the National Science<br />
& Media Museum to see creative media in action and<br />
listen to talks from professionals.<br />
