Green

with envy

ONE of the biggest interior trends for 2021, and which

looks set to carry on into 2022, was taking inspiration

from nature. From colours to materials and textures, there

was an overriding passion for all things connected to the

natural world as people looked to bring a sense of peace

and calmness into their homes.

And as we head into the coldest months, it’s the turn of

those darker shades to take centre stage. Deep, rich and

earthy, dark green hues perfectly encapsulate the feeling of

the season

From velvety emerald jewel tones which give a luxurious

feel to any space, to the deepest forest shades which create

a cocooning vibe, dark green is the perfect colour to turn

to, to give your space a wintry update.

In their more muted hues in particular, dark greens can

even be treated as a neutral; the trick to getting the full

impact of the colour is to be brave with the application,

allowing it to fully encapsulate the space, walls and

ceilings.
