The Central Valley Corvette Club was
chartered in 1991 for the owners of the only
real AMERICAN sports car, the awesome
CORVETTE. It's a social organization with
activities that provide enjoyment for the true
Corvette lover.
MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE HELD AT
6.30 P.M. ON THE 3 RD MONDAY OF
EVERY MONTH AT YOSEMITE
FALLS CAFE, 4020 N. CEDAR AVE,
FRESNO CALIFORNIA. INTERESTED

THAN WELCOME TO ATTEND THE
MEETINGS AND MEET OUR
MEMBERS.
Club activities include monthly meetings,
car shows, weekend Club activities,
overnighters, picnics, road rallies, summer
cruises, holiday get-to-gathers and more!
Eligibility for membership in CVC is defined
in Article III, section 1 of the bylaws in part
as follows: "Membership in Central Valley
Corvettes shall be open to all Corvette
owners who are sponsored by a member in
good standing. Additionally, a prospective
member must, within a three month period,
attend two consecutive meetings, participate
in two club sanctioned
social activities, pay current membership
dues and initiation fees, and be approved by
two-thirds vote of membership present at a
general membership meeting by secret ballot.
Sponsors shall be responsible for advising
prospective member of results. All members
must submit proof of personal insurance in
accordance with California State Law upon
application for membership, and all members
must be a member of the association
providing club liability insurance for
CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES.
A prospective member who does not have a
sponsor will be provided one by the
membership committee. Non-members may
not participate in more than three meetings or
two sanctioned activities as per CVC Bylaws.
CVC membership dues are $67.00 plus an
initiation fee of $35.00. Membership entitles
two members at the same address voting
privileges at meetings (provided they are in
good standing) and membership rights.

To our members
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and you are ready for the new year. First I would like to
thank Mike Lebda for stepping up and taking over the newsletter after Charlies long service to
the club as the newsletter editor. Look for the newsletter on our web site at the end of each
month for the latest upcoming club activity, member information, and my President’s message.
Let’s all help Mike with material for the newsletter. He will be happy to include any club relative
pictures or articles you have.
Our membership numbers look good. A few members did not renew, but we added several new
members. Hopefully we will continue to add new members. It’s always fun to meet new people
that share our love of the Corvette automobile and like having fun! I will always have the new
CVC business cards available at the general meetings if you need any. Have one with you to
hand out to prospective new members.
Looking forward to a healthy 2022 with lots of fellowship and fun Corvette runs!

2021....WOW, What a ride it was!
As we begin a brand new year, it is with great pleasure to once again be part of the CVC
board and to be elected as your new Membership chairperson. I want to thank LeighAnne
my friend and predecessor for the remarkable job she has done while in the position for the
past few years, I have big shoes to fill, and I look forward to connecting with members I may
not know as well as others. If you have a run idea and would like any help or additional
thoughts on ‘how to put on a run’, please email me and I will send you more information.
In the month of December, we had four new members join CVC.

On behalf of the entire club members, we want to say welcome to Central Valley Corvettes
Club and we are excited to get to know you better.
As we close the 2021-year our membership stands at 78 members. Reminder that I have a
box of personalized club cards and invite you to pick up a few at the next meeting to
possibly share information with other Corvette enthusiasts and invite them to a meeting.
Remember $50 is awarded for those who sponsor new members.
I want to wish each of you a very Happy New Year. May you all stay Healthy and Happy in
2022. Please remember to wear your badge to the meetings and all club runs.

Glenn & Lorraine
We both love Mexican food. Martha’s in Orosi is
our favorite.
We purchased our first Corvette in 2014 and we have
had 2 in our life.
We met in 1974 at her sister’s house in Southern
California. Married for 47 years
We have one son and two granddaughters.
5. What line of work do/did you do? (Glenn) I wore many different hats over the years,
Parts manager at a motorcycle shop, I was a grocery
store cashier at Boys market when I was in college,
Drove a truck for Bell Foods, Delivery salesman for
Arrowhead water co., maintenance, mechanical,
electrical, plumbing, concrete work, construction, built
and operated a mobile home park for 27 years, built a
mini storage facility and had that for 14 years, sold
both of them and retired.
(Lorraine) Worked at a furniture factory, cleaned
houses and retired at the age of 60.
6. How do you like to spend your
free time?
(Glenn) At the cabin fishing, hiking, jeep trails,
Corvette trips, cruises, kayaking, relaxing with
friends. (Lorraine) Reading, playing grams, cruising,
eating out, going to cabin, hanging out with friends.
7. What is the furthest place you
have ever traveled?
New Zealand

CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES GENERAL MEETING
MINUTES of DECEMBER 20, 2021
President Mike Lebda called the meeting to order at 6:32 PM. Mike thanked the
2021 Board all their
help the past 2 years and for learning how to Zoom the meetings so the business
of the Club could go on. He described the procedure of handing off each office to
the new Board Members. Mike also gave us the information on his Never too Late
President’s Mystery Run to be held March 28 – April 1, 2022.
Secretary Kathy Marine – Minutes of the November 15, 2021 were approved as
posted on the CVC website. A motion was made to accept the minutes and
motion was seconded. Kathy welcomed Debbie Garrison to office of Secretary.
Treasurer’s Report Lynne Henenfent – Lynne gave the treasurer’s report, a copy
is attached. Stephanie Engelman sold raffle tickets for the December meeting.
Dick Danielsen was welcomed to the Board as our new Treasurer for 2022.
VP of Public Relations/Membership LeighAnne Severance – New Members Keith and Monica Collins and Gary and Pam
Linsner received their Initiation Bags and badges from their sponsors Tom & Emily Piercy and Skip and LeighAnne
Severance respectively. LeighAnne announced the December birthdays and anniversaries. Congratulations Don and
Connie Olson who have been married 55 years they were our anniversary gift card winners. LeighAnne welcomed Julie
Sons as our new VP of Public Relations and Membership.
VP of Activities Jeff Engelman – Jeff thanked everyone that did runs this past year and thanked Freida Null for selling
raffle tickets this past year Stephanie Engelman will take over for 2022. He also thanked Mike Henenfent for calling the
raffle and thanked him for agreeing to continue for the coming year. Jeff acknowledged Linda Laningham for doing our
Sunshine News. Jeff asked run leaders to give reports on runs held since our last meeting. A report was given on
upcoming runs for 2022. Jeff welcomed Keith Garrison to the board as the VP of Activities for 2022.
Old Business – No old business to report.
New Business – Newsletter Update – Mike Lebda will be taking over doing our Newsletter starting this January.
Interim Parliamentarian – Charlotte Renna had no report but wanted to thank the Board for all their hard work.
Sunshine and Clouds – Linda Laningham was not feeling well and wasn’t able attend the meeting this month. Freida
filled in to get all the news from the Members.
Sergeant-of-Arms – Chuck Laningham – No badge fines this month as a Merry Christmas to all.

We’re starting a new year with Covid still causing problems but we
will make adjustments as needed.
If you an idea for a run, whether it’s a dinner or lunch at your
favorite restaurant or a run to one of your favorite get-aways with
30 of your best friends or do you know of an event coming up?
Let’s pick a date and if you need help planning it; I can help!
We have a How to Plan an Activity Sheet compiled by an experienced committee of six members available
upon request.
Think about something you like to do this upcoming year and have your ideas ready for the January meeting.

Signup deadline is the January meeting.
That will also be the deadline for payment.

indicate it on the signup sheet.

March 28 th to April 1 st
On March 28 th we will embark on a trip to some familiar and not so
familiar places. You will need to have a full tank of gas and both warm
and winter clothing. Your trip fee will include Hotel costs, event costs,
and some meals. You will need to pay your trip fee by the February
meeting and there will be no refunds after February 20 th .
Due to the cost of this run and the uncertainty of COVID the run will not
be a total mystery.
Monday March 28 th we will depart at 8am for the Aquarius Casino in
Laughlin.
Tuesday March 29 th we will depart Laughlin for Williams Arizona
Wednesday the 30 th we will return to Laughlin for the next 2 nights.
Thursday the 31 st we will go on an adventure.
Friday the 1 st we will head home.
