OUR HISTORY
In January 2000, Georgetown students first hosted
a national pro-life conference to inform and inspire
the many college students who travel to Washington,
D.C., every year for the March for Life. Held
annually in proximity to the March, the conference
was later named in honor of His Eminence John
Cardinal O’Connor following his death on May 3,
2000. Cardinal O’Connor, an alumnus of Georgetown
(Ph.D. Government), was a renowned and
courageous advocate for a culture of life during his
tenure as Archbishop of New York. We hope that
all those who attend our Conference will be encouraged
to follow Cardinal O’Connor’s example of
tireless defense of the most vulnerable among us.
