Glampsite Elsay May wanted four unique,
luxury, glamping cabins as well as hot tub
gazebos. All structures needed to sit well
with the landscape and offer kitchen and
bathroom facilities.

Elsay May felt the quality and finish of the
Finman range was perfect and purchased
four Finman Retreats and four Finman
Shelters to start their glamping business.
With the Retreats offering a blank canvas
it allowed Elsay May to furnish their cabins
with locally sourced wooden furniture
including a large wooden bed with thistle
carvings, dining table and chairs and kitchen
units. This resulted in each cabin being
having its own characteristics.
Owners Margaret, Malcolm and Maureen
are delighted with the results. They
commented that Elsay May has been fully
booked for a number of weeks and that the
cabins are returning a great ROI. They have
already started looking at expanding the
site, much earlier than expected.

When Carly and Stewart, of Stouslie Snugs,
started their journey to open a glamping site,
Podz R Us were delighted to be chosen as
designer and manufacturer. We have pods
all across the UK, and it was great to help
Stouslie Snugs move their project from idea
to reality.
Podz R Us worked with Stouslie Snugs on
a number of design revisions to create a pod
that met every requirement. We’ve called this
new pod The Munro, featuring full ensuite,
kitchen, double bed and seating area with
sofa-bed. The end result is stunning, glassfronted
glamping pods that make the most
of Stouslie’s landscaped environment and
incredible views across the rolling Border
hills.
Carly said: “Starting up any glamping
site is a huge investment but for us it was
important to secure our farm’s future
through diversification. Working with Podz R
Us was our pleasure and they helped make
this journey that little bit easier. Andrew was
open to our ideas and always found a way to
make them happen. The end result speaks
for itself... a beautifully-crafted, luxurious
timber glamping pod.”
