HISTORYMiaDanielifoundedMiaMélangein2014.Miawasbornintoamulticulturalfamily,toaSwissmotherandanIsraelifather.Herfamilytravelledoftenandlivedinmanydifferentcountries, giving Mia her love for diversecultures.Aftergraduatingwithadegreeintextiledesign,MiarelocatedtoSouthAfricaand established the brand Mia Mélange.Mélange means ‘mixture’ or ‘blend’ inFrench.Italsoreferstoatypeofyarnthatiscommonly used in the textile and fashionindustries. Mia Mélange basically means‘Mia'sMix’.Attheendof2017,Miamovedback home. Before she left, Mia sold thebusiness to Jeanneke Malan who sharesMia's values and is committed tomaintainingMiaMélange’shighstandardofquality, unique designs, and core ethics.Jeannekehasabackgroundinarchitectureand urban design. She is a proud SouthAfricanwhoaspirestocreateopportunitiesforpeoplefromthelocalcommunity.
