Functional description<br />

The controlling will either be<br />

performed with a DTMF pocket<br />

dialer (available as accessory) or<br />

a DTMF-telephone.<br />

Before using the TCR/TC for<br />

the first time, some necessary<br />

parameters must be configured,<br />

which means the programming<br />

of the used dialling method (pulse<br />

dialling or DTMF), the telephone<br />

numbers of the called parties at<br />

an activated alarm and the number<br />

of ringing signals until activation<br />

of the TCR/TC.<br />

The programming will be performed<br />

with 5 push-buttons and a<br />

LC-display.<br />

The associations of the device<br />

functions will be done in the Bus<br />

Coupling Unit (BCU).<br />

A BCU is built in the TC EIB and<br />

will be attached as a<br />

separate device at the TCR for<br />

mounting on a DIN rail.<br />

By dialling again digit 1, the device<br />

1 will be turned off.<br />

By dialling the #-button, the state<br />

of all devices will be announced<br />

and by dialling the * -button, the<br />

connection will be released.<br />

If an alarm occurs and alarm<br />

input 1 has be<strong>en</strong> activated, the<br />

TCR/TC calls the programmed<br />

parties and there will be a speech<br />

output “Here is the Telecontrol”,<br />

“The alarm 1 has be<strong>en</strong> activated”.<br />

The speech output will be repeated<br />

for approx. 1 minute. The<br />

alarm can be confirmed<br />

by dialling the * -button. There will<br />

be a speech output “The alarm<br />

has be<strong>en</strong> confirmed”, “Please dial<br />

the code number”.<br />

At this point the connection<br />

can be released or by dialling<br />

the code number, devices can<br />

be switched.<br />

Eight device functions of the EIB<br />

(8 communi<strong>cat</strong>ion objects) can be<br />

controlled. The activation takes<br />

place similar to the activation of<br />

the conv<strong>en</strong>tional devices.<br />

The digit 5 is being used for<br />

controlling the first device<br />

function (communi<strong>cat</strong>ion object 1)<br />

and so on. With two device<br />

functions an outgoing call can be<br />

established to the free programmable<br />

numbers.<br />

All states of the TCR/TC are time<br />

supervised, if no communi<strong>cat</strong>ion<br />

takes place within 30 seconds,<br />

the connection will be released.<br />

be<strong>en</strong> confirmed”.<br />

At this point the connection will be<br />

released.<br />

All states of the TCR Alarm/ TC<br />

Alarm are time supervised, if no<br />

communi<strong>cat</strong>ion takes place within<br />

Coupling of remote switching<br />

and alarm dialing device<br />

TC Koppler<br />

The TC Koppler allows the<br />

coupling of two systems at<br />

differ<strong>en</strong>t lo<strong>cat</strong>ions. These<br />

systems communi<strong>cat</strong>e via the<br />

analog telephone line.<br />

The TC Koppler performs<br />

at a malfunction at lo<strong>cat</strong>ion A<br />

automatically a switching function<br />

at lo<strong>cat</strong>ion B.<br />

The TC Koppler does not need<br />

an operator, for instance, the<br />

malfunction leads to an automatic<br />

switching function at an unoccupied<br />

head office and can be used<br />

to initiate an alarm sc<strong>en</strong>ario.<br />

Each signal change at the input<br />

of the TC Koppler will initiate a<br />

call establishm<strong>en</strong>t. The called<br />

TC Koppler will receive all states<br />

of the inputs and outputs of the<br />

calling TC Koppler after the<br />

exchange of security information.<br />

As a confirmation the corresponding<br />

outputs of the calling<br />

TC Koppler will also be set, just<br />

like at the called TC Koppler.<br />

Therefore, the state of the connected<br />

device will be reflected at<br />

the outputs.<br />

The TC Koppler is equipped<br />

with a telephone line surveillance<br />

system. At a telephone line fault<br />

the local alarm output (ÖA) will<br />

be set and the display of the<br />

TC Koppler will show “Line<br />

fault”. This will indi<strong>cat</strong>e that a<br />

successful coupling can not be<br />

executed.<br />

The TC Koppler has an analog<br />

telephone interface and can also<br />

be connected at ISDN-PABXs<br />

with analog ports.<br />

The TC Koppler can be expanded<br />

to a TC EIB Koppler by<br />

attaching an EIB bus coupling<br />

unit. Eight additional switching<br />

functions can be transmitted with<br />

the TC EIB Koppler.<br />

The TC Koppler has 4 alarm<br />

inputs and 4 switching outputs.<br />

In delivery state the TC Koppler<br />

can s<strong>en</strong>d and receive.<br />

The TC Koppler can be configured<br />

so that they can only s<strong>en</strong>d or<br />

only receive. The activation takes<br />

place by use of pot<strong>en</strong>tial free<br />

contacts. In order to s<strong>en</strong>t off a<br />

switching function, the contact<br />

must be closed for at least 50 ms.<br />

RMR 4<br />

The relay module RMR 4 is<br />

an additional module for the<br />

TC/TCR Alarm. The relays work<br />

The relay module RMR 4 contains<br />

4 relays with a contact load of 10<br />

amps at 230 V.<br />

The control voltage of the<br />

4 relays is 12 V DC or 24 V DC.<br />

The control circuits will be set<br />

automatically to the applied<br />

control voltage (no manual setting<br />
