was founded in 2000 with a
vision to provide an outstanding
international education for children

graduates, and thousands of community

This timeline insta lation was a part of
HKA’s 20th a niversary celebrations
and highlights notable milestones
from the sch ol’s first 20 years
DRAGONFLY STORY
HKA’s mascot is the dragonfly. The
dragonfly was initia ly selected by
sch o leadership in th earl years of
the sch ol. A the time of the sch ol’s

students, the school has always been
committed to fostering an environment in
which students achieve their full potential
as responsible members of a global
community. Through decades of growth,
three location changes, hundreds of
graduates, and thousands of community
members, the essence of HKA’s mission
and identity have remained the same.
This timeline installation was a part of
HKA’s 20th anniversary celebrations
and highlights notable milestones
from the school’s first 20 years

10th anniversary, students reviewed
the mascot, developed various ideas
for potential mascots and then voted
to select the school’s mascot going
forward. The dragonfly was the clear

felt that it reflected HKA’s
commitment to diversity, as there are
more than 300 varieties of
dragonflies in Hong Kong, making
Hong Kong’s dragonfly one of the
