AMAZING WOMAN
-Inspired by Robbie Motter’s motto:
It’s All About Showing Up
Time ßows like a river
It’s nothing to do with you
Take hold of your own life
There’s a lot of things to do.
If you never stop learning
You will be young in your heart
Look for your own motto
Love dressing up and be smart.
Always welcome changes
Use your ability
Be initiative
Take responsibility.
Never give up on your dreams
Widen your hidden wings
Don’t be afraid of your action
But be an inspiration
It’s all abut showing up showing up, showing up,
It’s all about asking ,
It’s about the way to make the world better be.
So restore back the place you belong to
And be blessed that you are: AMAZING WOMAN !
My heart goes out to Tricia Tiner and her family in the loss of her mother our beloved Dr
Sharron Stroud, there will be a celebration of life on Sunday March 13th from 2pm to 5pm
at Temple Isaih 332 Alejo Road Palm Springs, CA. Dr Sharron Stroud touched many of our
lives so I hope that you can clear your schedule to join us. I am taking the RSVP’s of GSFE
members so let me know if you can join us. Also,GSFE is in charge of desserts for the
refreshments so if you can bake something let me know and also tell me what you would be
bringing, we prefer baked not store bought, as baked are gifts from the heart. Dr Sharron
was a person about love, peace and joy and about giving from one’s heart.
We also have had several of our members under the weather this month and want to send
them GET WELL messages and love, they were that I know of: AnGele Cade, Angelique
Sunshine Lynch, Jean Olexa, Kara Maldonado, Sharon Doyle and Allessandro “Allie” Thornton,
also to anyone else that I was not aware of please know we also send these wishes to you as
well.
Every month Marcy adds on our website globalsocietyforfemaleentrepreneurs.org under
find a network page all the flyers for every meeting that month, so remember as a member
you are in one network but you may visit any other network just RSVP to the director and
Global Society For Female Entrepreneurs - www.globalsocietyforfemaleentrepreneurs.org
7
pay the meeting fee to the director of that network. Many of our networks are on zoom so
you can enjoy meeting other GSFE sisters right from your own home, and all are beautiful and
unique and also show up at some of the live meetings. They also get to meet you and learn
about what you do as every network has you go around the room say who you are, what you
do and how we can help you. So be sure and see the updated network list in the newsletter
Until next month please keep SHOWING UP and ASKING...and when opportunities come to you
Take ACTION don’t just think about it.
Also in the Newsletter is a page if you have a book to submit your bookcover, so if your book
is not there send a jpeg photo to Marcy Decator at marcy@creativesolutionsmktg.com, and
in subject line of email put jpeg photo of my book or books for the Newsletter. Also, we are
starting a page on Podcasts, Radio Shows, and TV Shows, so if you have a show and look for
guest’s please send the info to Marcy to add to that page, and in subject line put what it is.
Please send her emails not texts as that works better for her.
GSFE is here to support you and to let you know of opportunities out there to promote yourself
and build your brand, you just need to take action and do it, stop thinking about things, doing
that one comes up with too many excuses. Read the newsletter as each page offers something
different and if you don’t read it all then you just might miss something. Make a commitment
to at least attend one GSFE meeting a month or more if you can but be consistent as you are
losing out if you don’t connect and SHOW UP either online or in person. Our directors work
hard to find great speakers and to bring together great people for the meeting’s, but they
need your support.
Also, if you like GSFE how about making a commitment to find at least one new member to
join that will help me achieve our GSFE goal of 1000 members by the end of 2022 and I believe
together we can do that.
O’Chea Fashion is about bringing out the beauty in us through the
elegance of O’Chea. O’Chea believes beauty comes from within.
Here at O’Chea, we believe in removing the prejudices within
ourselves and bringing out the true beauty. O’Chea defines beauty
as what we do with what we have. For instance, who say we can not
be a model? Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Beauty is beyond
discriminating against our image of being tall, short, thick, thin, from
black eyes to blue eyes. O’Chea is about appreciating beauty in all
its glorious form and removing the negativity of racism.
It all started on the day when high-school students demonstrated
various string instruments to 3rd graders. When Maya heard the violin,
she was in love! She started practicing and stayed with it all the way
until college, leading her to play in The Raleigh Civic Symphony
in North Carolina. At that time, she also taught private lessons for
children. Currently, she plays at office gatherings, birthday parties,
and other special events to bring joy and an unforgettable touch.
Maya also wears many hats and does other businesses as well and is
Our mission is to find loving, forever homes for "Angels in Fur Coats" that are lost,
abandoned, or surrendered by their owners. Since we are not a shelter, we look for
foster homes to care for dogs and cats before they are placed in a new permanent
home. Since 2009, available dogs and cats have been introduced at adoption
fundraising events. Currently, we introduce pets at a "Meet & Greet" with interested
pet parents. To date, we have rescued nearly 500 dogs and cats, many of those pets
are alive today because we found new homes for them.
Pet Ministry-PS, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization and we rely on donations
which are tax-deductible to support our work:
• Finding foster homes for rescued pets until they are adopted
• Arranging “Meet & Greets’ for rescued pets to find loving, forever homes
• Funding Low Cost Spay/Neuter to control the pet overpopulation
• Assisting with high vet bills especially for Seniors on limited budgets
• Suppling pet food for rescued dogs & cats
• Finding temporary foster homes for pets who require care in a time of need
• Networking lost dogs & cats and pets needing homes on social media
• Developing an affordable housing community for seniors and their pets
After celebrating our 11th Anniversary in February, 2020, the Pet Ministry-PS, Inc. had to
end in-person adoptions and bake sale fundraising on the Center for Spiritual Living-
Palm Desert patio after they switched to online services only in March, 2020. Although
in-person services have resumed at that location now called The Spiritual Center of the
Long Beach January 17th
It was great to have a couple new faces attend, my guest, Diamond Hopkins & Amy Foell,
our newest member.
We had a more intimate group sitting around the fire & sharing like campfire girls. Our
networking was sharing about what 2022 looks like & means to us this year.
Our speaker Caroline Sterling the inventor of the genius phrase taught us how to calculate
our own genius phrase. What is your genius phrase ? Maybe you should add Caroline to
your speaker list or vote to have her speak to your group. Once you do ~ you will learn
how to take ownership to sharing the best of yourself to others.
On Presidents’ Day , February 21st , we will have our own President & founder of GSFE
share her story and more.
Have a lovely & fulfilled Valentines Day with your sweetheart , family , special someone or
your snuggly, cuddly pet/pets.
Menifee Network News
by Denise Gregory
It was very exciting to be introduced as the new director for the Menifee
GSFE network and also for my Co-Director Mary Gelbman to be introduced.
I plan to do my best as the Menifee director to provide great meetings
and to build the network bigger and stronger. We selected to have each
member to give us one goal they wanted to complete for 2022 when they
did their introduction to see if anyway GSFE could assist them.
Bette King the new director for Coachella Valley GSFE which launched this
month has a goal to have her network be the largest GSFE network and
mentioned others were going to compete with her so we will watch the
race and see who wins
John Lauziere who was Bette’s guest and also new member of the
Coachella Valley GSFE was to get out and enjoy life, since he does Driving,
errands, and takes people places in the desert he should easily be able to
accomplish that goal,
Mary Gelbman my fantastic co-chair has a goal to start sharing more.
Charmaine Summer’s goal this year is to say hello to more seniors as when
she does, she sees how powerful that is and how it makes that person’s day
Adella Sanchez, goal is to focus on losing weight and to share her R & D
products with 5 people a week.
Robbie Motter, our founder and leaders’ goal for the year is to get all the GSFE members to
take action and quit just thinking about it just do it.
Our speaker Leisa Reid was amazing and gave all of us great wisdom and tools that we
could immediately use and put into place for our business to increase our bottom line.
having effective habits and good systems in place. If you struggle getting
organized or you’re not good at sales...it’s because you haven’t learned
the right systems and skill set. Understanding this will help put you in the
flow of ease of getting this all important work done on a daily basis.
In the Follow Up Sales Strategies Presentation, you’ll learn:
Why using a system is critical for success
Follow up systems that don’t work
How the right mindset will make the follow up process easier
Surprising sales statistics
HIGHLIGHTED MEMBER :
Meet Maryam Crogman was featured by Voyage LA
Magazine recently.
After losing my job to the pandemic, L’Expression
Creative Studios Inc. was born out of a desire
to see more cultural representation in the Paint
& Sip industry. Many a party were spent not
seeing Black, Latino, Asian and other types of arts
represented in the artistic challenges that these
parties offered. As an educator, I also wanted to
make sure that my Paint & Sip company was there to entertain but also to educate, make
aware, and open people’s eyes to the beauty of cultural art diversity. So in my parties, we first
learn and then we create.
The motto is “Create as you are” because I want people to come and show their colors, not
paint like me, but paint like them under my guidance for techniques. In that way, people come
out of my classes proud of their work and also having learned a little bit more about others
and their own beauty.
Perhaps if we learn to see the beauty in others, there will be less racism, aggression,
disrespect, and more promotion of peace and protection of life.
So we started online because of the pandemic, and we’re working to open a store and finally
be face to face with folks (although we’ve started to organize covid-safe f2f parties for a few
48
Global Society For Female Entrepreneurs - www.globalsocietyforfemaleentrepreneurs.org
months now).
We have three branches, “corporate”, where we organize office parties but also work with
associations, businesses and corporation to collaborate & create new types of parties
(Poetry & paint, Yoga & Paint, Dinner & paint …/…); we also do private parties, people call for
birthdays, baby showers, bridals, girls night…/…; and then educational where we work with
the city, girl scouts and other entities to teach adults and kids.
In all these events, we stay true to ourselves and always bring teaching with the creativity.
LXP will be one year old in January. We have serious growth objectives for 2022 and will
be working on events that support diversity and inclusion, women, women of color in our
network and planning. We have big plans to include technology and philanthropy to our work.
Building this business would have been harder without the guidance of the Inland Empire
Women Business Center coaches extraordinaire! These ladies have been so good to me,
supported all the ways in which I needed them, helped with every aspect of the business for
free. They change lives.
I also have been supported by my husband in a huge way as he put down the first investment
and has been my personal advisor and number one fan all the way.
Support of your community makes a big difference!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not! The pandemic hurt the ability to find clients. Also, we have been a very small
team which prevented us to be in different places at the same time. Not having a brick and
mortar was also tough, we’ve lost a lot of clients because of that. Finances also present
challenges, less clients mean less revenue which means less revenue to pay for marketing, and
that is a vicious cycle which is hard to break off of.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a professor of psychology and researcher, I created an app and a couple of games, I’m
an author of children stories, I paint, and I can add now business owner . On the daily, I try to
juggle all these hats because I want to accomplish the best of me and live my best life while I
can.
In the process, I try to support my students and entourage by motivating and supporting
whatever way I can.
If my story can help anyone dream bigger, or act upon their dream, then it was worth living.
I’m very focused on supporting minority efforts to get into higher education, to do research,
to become their best self, and build their dream businesses or careers. Wherever I can help
someone push in that direction, I help.
INSPIRATION
Think on these words:
Are you Duck or an Eagle?
DUCK OR EAGLE? You decide.
I was at the airport when a taxi driver approached me.
Global Society For Female Entrepreneurs - www.globalsocietyforfemaleentrepreneurs.org
49
The first thing I noticed in the cab was a phrase, I soon read:
- Duck or Eagle?
You decide.
The second thing I noticed was a clean, shiny cab, the driver well dressed, white shirt and well
pressed pants, with a tie.
The taxi driver got out, opened the door for me and said:
“I am John, your chauffeur.
While I’m putting your luggage away, I’d like you to read on this card what my mission is.”
On the card was written:
John’s Mission
- To get my clients to their destination quickly, safely and economically, while providing a friendly
environment.
I was impressed.
The interior of the cab was equally clean.
John asked me:
“Would you like some coffee?”
Joking with him I said:
“No, I’d rather have a juice.
He immediately replied:
“no problem.
I have a thermos with regular juice and also diet juice, as well as water,” he also told me:
“if you wish to read, I have today’s newspaper and also some magazines.”
As the journey began John told me:
“These are the radio stations I have and this is the repertoire they play.”
As if that wasn’t enough, John even asked me if the temperature of the air conditioning was
good.
Then he told me what was the best route to my destination and if I wanted to talk to him or if he
preferred that I not be interrupted.
I asked:
“Do you always serve your customers like this?”
50
Global Society For Female Entrepreneurs - www.globalsocietyforfemaleentrepreneurs.org
“No,” he replied.
“Not always.
Only in the last two years.
My first few years as a taxi driver I spent most of my time complaining just like the other taxi
drivers.
One day I listened to a doctor who was a specialist in personal development.
He wrote a book called :Who you are makes the difference!
He said:
If you get up in the morning expecting to have a lousy day, you certainly will.
Don’t be a DUCK!
Be an eagle!
Ducks just make noise and complain, eagles soar above the pack.
I was all the time making noise and complaining.
So I decided to change my attitudes and be an eagle.
I looked at the other cabs and drivers.
The dirty cabs, the unfriendly drivers, and the dissatisfied customers.
I decided to make some changes.
Since my customers responded well, I made a few more changes.
In my first year as an eagle, I doubled my turnover.
This year, I have already quadrupled it.
You are in luck that you saw my cab today as I am no longer at the cab stand.
My customers book through my cell phone or send me a message.
If I can’t pick up, I get a trusted “Eagle” taxi driver friend to do the job.”
John was different.
He offered a limousine service in a regular cab.
John, the taxi driver, decided to stop making noise and complaining like ducks do and started
flying over the group like eagles do.
It doesn’t matter whether you work in an office, with maintenance, a teacher, a civil servant, a
politician, an executive, an employee, a freelancer, or a taxi driver!
How do you behave?
Are you dedicated to making noise and complaining? Or are you elevating yourself above the
others?
Remember: THE DECISION IS YOURS!
“Follow Up Strategies That Will Get More Clients and Close More Sales”
Wanda Allen is an International speaker, coach, corporate
trainer, author and award winning business owner. She’s the
author of Follow Up Savvy and Follow Up Sales Strategies.
Wanda had a 25 year corporate career where she held the
position of Senior Vice President for 15 years. She has a
sales background and worked with sales teams throughout
her corporate career. She gained extensive training on
business development, maintaining client relationships and
customer service. She has a strong skill set for developing
systems and applied this skill to the follow up process.
What she teaches is tried, tested and proven. After leaving
the corporate world to pursue her own business ventures,
Wanda founded her business, Follow Up Sales Strategies.
She’s an expert in helping entrepreneurs, business owners
and sales professionals increase pipelines, improve sales
performance and strengthen relationships by developing
strong follow up skills.
If follow up is a hard heavy “to do” then the Follow Up Sales Strategies
Presentation is for you. You’ll learn that follow up is merely a matter of
having effective habits and good systems in place. If you struggle getting
your follow up work done, it’s not because you don’t have time, you’re not
organized or you’re not good at sales...it’s because you haven’t learned
the right systems and skill set. Understanding this will help put you in the
flow of ease of getting this all important work done on a daily basis.
In the Follow Up Sales Strategies Presentation, you’ll learn:
• Why using a system is critical for success
• Follow up systems that don’t work
• How the right mindset will make the follow up process easier
• Surprising sales statistics
• The real reason people don’t follow up
• 3 strategies that will improve your follow up efforts immediately
Improving your follow up skills will help you get more clients and close
more sales!
I am looking for love
Down a 2-way street
But… I keep
Looking
Over
Various
Elements
Of me
From entrepreneur to mom, and even wifey
So many lessons learned
And I am still learning
One thing to note is when I hit a dead end, It’s okay to bust a U-turn and start over
again
Just don’t stop
And don’t give up
You never know when your throne will be on your right and your love to the left
So pull your own heart strings to play a little tune
A beautiful sound of love will light a dim room
And send the music notes down the road to yoursekf, your, business, and family
Drive to
Look for Various Elements of you
HAPPY February, GSFE sisters!
We pray for those who are sick and healing. And we pray for the prosperity of each and
every one of our sisters. May we prosper together as a team and support each other
throughout 2022. And we pray for the families and friends who have lost someone recently.
It was rough on all of us to loose our GSFE sister, Dr. Sharron Stroud. May she rest in peace.
January’s South IE meeting was a BLAST! I hope you all had as much fun as I did. Don’t
forget to go check out those communication platforms that I mentioned: Discord, Twitch,
and Twitter Spaces. Try to see what all of the Millennials and GenZs find so cool about
these spaces and really consider if you can find value in them for your business.
Our next meeting will be on the third Thursday, February 24th , @ 12:30pm. Our speaker
will be Angelique MacArthur, Founder of The Adulthood Edit and Next Level Gen. Angelique
offers support to those who are transitioning into or wanting to transform their adulthood
journey. Next Level Gen is youth division. You can find her site on Facebook, but do come
enjoy her presentation on the 24th of this month.
We are officially the South Inland Empire branch of the Global Society for Female
Entrepreneurs (Yay!). Thank you to Robbie Motter for making that happen.
Our meetings cost $15 for non-members and $10 for GSFE members. Please, remember
that you can Venmo your meeting payment to @Katherine-Orho with a memo, “RSVP
for SIE GSFE Feb meeting 2022” LOL! I’ll know what that means and pencil you in on my
attendance sheet. You can also text me your RSVP.
Take care, ladies! See you February 24 @ 12:30pm.
with other entrepreneurs. Much of my background is in business startup
and development, real estate, finance and legal. I have a Bachelor’s
degree in Business and a Master’s degree in Public Administration and am
currently pursuing a law degree. I have a business and financial mentoring
business assisting individuals to reach their financial goals. To further
the company’s mission, a digital magazine is published to showcase
local business owners and their knowledge. I often look for like-minded
individuals to become collaborators or affiliates. So, if you are interested
in collaborating or becoming an affiliate, please do not be shy – reach out
Hello to all of my GSFE sisters, network directors, and founder Robbie Motter. My name
never been a greater need than now for GSFE. Women need to be supported, inspired,
encouraged, and lifted by the community.
A warm thank you is in order to the platform of She Inspires Me. I am honored to be
nominated for a SIMA alongside so many that I have close relationships to and feel
supported by in my business efforts. I look forward to meeting so many in person at the
awards show in April. It is with this spirit that GSFE Palm Beach has been created and
Angeline made some very exciting announcements about upcoming events
such as our Virtual Conference in September. Also, in February we celebrate
our first anniversary as a Virtual Chapter of which you can read the details in
Angeline’s letter. It was also announced that Laurie Davis will be heading
Canadian Chapter which is launching on February 25, 2022 so stay tuned for
details on that.
Our guest speaker was Leisa Reid who always gives a dynamic
presentation on how to leverage our businesses by getting
more speaking gigs. Thank you Leisa once again for your
amazing support to all of our GSFE family.
Coming up on February 6 th 2022 we meet at 12:00 noon PT. Everyone is
welcome to join our meeting as we all are able to attend each other’s
chapters. Angeline always has giveaways at the end of each meeting.
Our very special speaker this coming month is the beautiful and talented Dr
Angelika Christie. Her area of expertise is to support women in their later
years to show us how we still have lots of life in us and much still to do.
Angelika is also a relationship expert. She is an author, entrepreneur, coach
and professional speaker. We are excited to hear all that she has to share. Her
list of accomplishments is extensive so we know we are in good hands-on
This month, we are excited to introduce our Virtual First Thursday GSFE
Meet Sabine Becker!
Sabine Becker
P.U.S.H. ~Persevere until Success Happens ~
Sabine Becker is an award-winning international speaker, coach, and
soon-to-be-published author. Furthermore, she appeared on PBS and the Oprah
Winfrey Network.
Sabine's life started in Germany under challenging circumstances. Due to the drug
Thalidomide, Sabine was born with very short arms. However, she never allowed her
disability to control her life. Instead, she learned to live independently by using her feet
for daily tasks, such as getting dressed, combing her hair, writing on her computer, and
even driving her non-modified car.
Sabine earned a Bachelor's Degree in social work and a Master's Degree in psychology
before she immigrated in 1988 to the United States with her 5-year-old son Nicolas and
only $100 in her pocket.
Because of the various challenges of living with such a severe disability, it would have
been easy to dwell on what's going wrong in her life, things she cannot have, or things
she cannot do. But Sabine refused to be held hostage by her circumstances. That is the
reason she created an acronym. P.U.S.H. ~Persevere Until Success Happens ~. This
acronym represents hope, positive mindset, reframing, courage, resilience, and
perseverance. Through P.U.S.H., she has learned to transform the impossible into
possibilities, barriers into opportunities. But fate had another surprise in store for
Sabine, and her acronym P.U.S.H. was put to the test. In 2012 Sabine suffered a
massive stroke while driving her car! Miraculously she survived but was paralyzed.
Again, she refused to give up but instead held on to her P.U.S.H. acronym. After 12
months of intense physical, occupational, and speech therapy, she could finally walk
and talk again.
In 2018 Sabine decided to find a new purpose in life to rewrite her story. She could only
walk half a mile, but this did not deter her from signing up for the Los Angeles Marathon,
which has been a dream of hers. Sabine focused on the possible and not the 18 months
of arduous training. In March 2019, she finished the entire 26.2 miles L.A. Marathon.
Sabine believes that anybody can rewrite their story to find a purpose and meaning in
life regardless of circumstances or age. Today she is helping fellow stroke survivors and
people who are experiencing radical challenges to find their reason for being so that
they can live a thriving and purposeful life.
Letter to virtual GSFE Members:
Global Society For Female Entrepreneurs - www.globalsocietyforfemaleentrepreneurs.org
Next month, mark our first-year anniversary of our virtual Thursday network.
I want to share with all of you what we have accomplished in these past 12 months.
In 2020, when I was running the South Orange County network live our group grew, we
had great meeting and the number of our members grew. We met at a great restaurant,
we had great foods, drinks and network meeting. Thanks to Nanciann Horvath, my
co-director for her support running the meeting. We had inspiring, empowering and
educational speakers too. Then pandemic hit. We were forced to have a virtual meeting
or no meeting at all! Robbie Motter and some of GSFE Directors decided to have the
virtual meeting and use Zoom as the media to have the virtual meeting. Some of the
South Orange County network members, did not like the idea of meeting virtually, but
most of them did. One of the advantages of having a virtual meeting, I was able to invite
guests from out of states and out of the country, and guest what! They join our group! I
kept reminding myself, this will not happen if we have a live meeting. In spring 2020, my
husband was furloughed (because of his role in the company working at home was not
an option) we decided rather than waiting for him to be called back to work, he looked
for another job. Guest what! He received an offer working in AZ with a better position! I
was excited for him.
In early January 2021 my husband and I moved to AZ. Robbie Motter and I decided, to
create a virtual network membership. I will start running the network from AZ and we will
expand our membership across the US and internationally. We were so excited! On
Thursday, February 4 th at noon-PST/3PM-EST, we started the First Thursday GSFE
virtual meeting with only four virtual members and supported by GSFE members from
another network attended our first meeting. We had fifteen members attended our first
meeting! We were so excited! As the months passing by, our membership grew. We
have members from outside California and the US. We are expanding and able to
achieve one of our goals as a “Global Society for Female Entrepreneurs”. We are going
global faster than we planned, because of the pandemic!
Yes, there are sad things happening to our members, losing our friends, losing their
loved one, losing their business because of the pandemic. However, being a person
who focuses on the positive rather than the negatives; yes, it is very unfortunate and
sad pandemic hit, that is life we have to endure! However, we need to focus on the
positive things during the pandemic. I found out some of our members were forced to be
creative to grow their business. Some of them actually are doing better because of the
pandemic. Why? Because we had to get out from our comfort zone if we want to survive
and stay in business. Some of our members have to prioritize their plans and goals to
grow their business. Yes, they are not easy but at the end they become rewarding.
Some of our members were able to expand their business beyond their locality without
74
Global Society For Female Entrepreneurs - www.globalsocietyforfemaleentrepreneurs.org
having to travel to the place they want to expand. In fact, our group has grown from four
to over thirty members in 11 months!
I want to thank Robbie Motter for mentoring, supporting me to grow the First Thursday
Virtual network, I would not be able to grow this network as fast as we have without her
tireless support and networking. Also, I want to thank to our active virtual members who
attended our virtual meetings regularly. Some of them just joined us two months ago!
They make it one of their priorities to show up! I want to recognize them as my gratitude
for supporting and promoting GSFE (in alphabetical order by their last name): Sabine
Becker, Laurie Davis, Evelyn Gray, Annmarie Kelly, Gillian Larson, Carol Liege, Jill
Lublin, Angelique MacArthur, Karen Pollick, Leisa Reid, Joy Ruffen, Dr. Nepthetina
Serrano, and Dr. Randi Ward. Additionally, I want to extend my thanks to Laurie Davis,
my Co-director for helping me running the meeting. Next month, she is going to run the
Canadian network. How exciting!
Furthermore, I want to thank GSFE members from other GSFE networks who attended
our Virtual Thursday network regularly (in alphabetical order by their last name): Caprice
Crebar, Angelica Christie, Marcy Decato, Sherill Franklin, Jodie Moncrief, Nanciann
Horvath, Debbie Love, Susie Mierzwik, Robbie Motter, Katherine Orho, Lori Raupe,
Reanna Ritter, Arvee Robinson, Deborah Thorne, Alesandra Thorton, Angel Tousant,
Joan Wakeland, Donna Weber, I am grateful to all of you. If I missed to mention your
names supporting our virtual group meeting, my apology.
Another exciting event we had last year, was the GSFE Lady in Blue Sapphire Award. I
am proud to share with all of you, six of our virtual members were the award finalists
and four of them were the winners of six global GSFE award categories. They are
Laurie Davis, the winner of Lifetime Achievement and Virtual member Director Awards;
Annmarie Kelly, the winner of Virtual member Show-Up Award; Angelique MacArthur,
the finalist of the Mentorship Award; Joy Ruffen, the winner of Authentic Leader and
finalist of Virtual member Show-Up Awards; Dr. Nephatina Serrano, the finalist of
Mentorship, Virtual member Director and Virtual member Show-Up Awards, Dr. Randi
Ward the winner of Vision Builder and finalist of Virtual member Director Award. As I
summarized these awards, I realized these ladies have one thing in common! They are
the one who showed up to our meeting regularly! They make it a priority to attend our
monthly meeting! By the way, the judges who selected these winners are not the GSFE
members!
Also, I want to thank all GSFE members who supported GSFE events throughout the
year, most importantly our first annual virtual conference that was held on October 15th,
2021. Although it was the first time we did it. We did it well. I could not do this alone
without the help from Robbie Motter, AnGele Cade, Laurie Davis (MC),Joan
Rudder-Ward (virtual photographer), our great speakers, AnGele Cade, Marcy Decato,
Arvee Robinson, Lori Raupe and Jill Lublin and entertainers Mirjana Anastasijevic,
Global Society For Female Entrepreneurs - www.globalsocietyforfemaleentrepreneurs.org
75
Alison Bailey and Denise Gregory and lastly our zoom coordinator and support,
Quanesha Moore. Furthermore, several of our members donated all the opportunity
drawings. It takes a village to make our virtual conference became a successful
conference.
In summary, my talented, dynamic GSFE sisters let’s make 2022 a great year. My ask to
all of you, make it a priority to get involved to attend our virtual meeting regularly (we
only meet once a month!) and participate in our 2022 annual virtual conference which
will take place on Friday, September 16 th at 10 AM-PST/1:00 PM-EST. Please make this
date in your calendar. Together we can accomplish whatever we set our mind to achieve
the GSFE mission ”to inspire, empower and connect with each other so we all become
successful entrepreneurs.” Remember we never know who we will meet and the
treasure we will find unless we show up! I look forward to getting to know each one of
you better in 2022.
My wish to all of you of good health, productive and abundant lives in 2022.
Sincerely
Angeline Benjamin
In closing wishing for you all to stay safe and we’ll see you on March 3rd!
Using your marketing
budget effectively
Here are some more ideas of how to use your marketing budge smart
and efficiently.
1. Get some awesome business cards
Get yourself some snazzy business cards, then give them to people
you connect with. It is important to give a good first impression, and
your business card is one way to do that.
I don’t agree on handing your card to everybody at a networking
event, for instance, there should be a conversation, and introduction
and then hand it out, that way your card would not go right into the
trash. Better yet, if you have a nice looking card, your new connection
will remember that convertaion.
2. Put magnets on the company car
Stick a magnetic sign on your company car and voila, you have a
brand awareness campaign on wheels, spreading the world all over
town (just be sure to obey traffic laws).
3. Run a Facebook campaign
If you only have a tiny advertising budget, it might still be enough to
run some Facebook ads! The cost per click for Facebook advertising
can be very low.
More to come on the next issue, stay tuned...
They say the toughest battles are given to the strongest warriors and I believe that to be very
true. Many of us have experienced so many obstacles that have led us to where we are today.
Love Your Haters is not an Anthology for us to take reflection on all the painful experiences and
revisit them for too long. However, it is a book that will help us share with others the highlights
of our journey thus far that continue to propel us forward. The three main focus points are:
* Learning how to IGNORE THE NAYSAYERS
How have you overcome doubt and criticism from others?
* The art of SELF-LOVE
What self-love means to you and/ or What practices do you implement continuously?
* FORGIVENESS
How has forgiveness helped you feel peace of mind and/ or improved relations?
Listed are just a few questions that can help direct you while you are writing your chapter.
These topics have been crucial to my transformation and positive mindset. I’m sure that they
have changed your life as well.
You can choose to elaborate on either or all of these topics. You may also write your story of
choice and implement the importance of listed topics. I realize the process of coming to such
milestones is not easy, Many new readers will identify with where they are on their personal
transformation journey. My hope with this Anthology is that it will inspire others and inspire
growth. Thank you for being on this journey with me.
This Anthology is scheduled to be published June
2nd 2022. The submission deadline for chapters is
April 1st, 2022. The first 50 authors to respond will
be included in the book. Each chapter is to be 2000
word count. The cost of the chapter is $300.00.
DO This ONE Important Thing
to Protect Your Health
by Susie Mierzwik - GSFE Riverside
Did you know there is a way to support our immunity, and also eliminate toxins
from our body? You can do it without taking pills or shakes or supplements. We
can increase this master antioxidant by 300% with the use of a tiny wearable
patch which helps our own liver to produce Glutathione.
Glutathione is in every cell of our body, and it protects our cells from oxidative damage which
is the cause of hundreds of diseases. As we get older, the natural Glutathione in our body
decreases, which puts us at risk for a wide range of health concerns and degenerative diseases.
Supplements of Glutathione can only help in a very limited way because this substance breaks
down in our digestion, so very little is used by the body. This wearable little LifeWave patch,
however, helps our liver increase production of this essential antioxidant and the health benefits
are felt immediately. Glutathione patches are anti-inflammatory as well, so they help eliminate
pain, which can be very debilitating.
This master antioxidant also plays a major role in eliminating harmful toxins from the body. You
may not realize that toxins can be found in toothpaste, skin care, nonorganic produce and meat,
dryer sheets, household cleaners, pesticides, deodorants, petrochemicals, and thousands of
other things we encounter daily.
Pub Med, maintained by the National Library of Medicine, has more than 92,000 articles that
explain the health benefits of Glutathione. Before Lifewave patented Glutathione patches, there
was no easy way to increase this key antioxidant in our body.
To experience the many benefits of Glutathione, contact Susie Mierzwik to find out how you can
try this affordable, little guardian of our health.
