Programs and Services
Active Threat Training Program
POLICE DEPARTMENT
Designed for Police Officers to go on-site at your business and teach employees practical
and simple tools and techniques to help you prepare for and respond to an active threat
situation. The training is designed to increase awareness so employees can be equipped with
the knowledge and understanding of how to escape active threat incidents. Topics include:
• Learn about options based active threat response protocols;
• Hear about recent trends in active threat events; and
• Discuss practical applications for effective deterrence and responses.
Crime Prevention through
Environmental Design (CPTED)
Consultation
A CPTED certified Police Officer
conducts an on-site visit and provides
a multi-disciplinary approach to
deterring criminal behavior through
environmental design. Crime prevention
recommendations are provided through
a detailed report to increase safety
of your employees and patrons and
reduce opportunities for your business
to be victimized of a crime.
Emergency Notification Service – ArapAlert
Make sure your business and employees know about emergencies and disasters before
or as they happen. The alerts will include natural disaster evacuations, hazardous
materials contaminations, missing persons, terrorism preparedness, criminal activity,
public health, and any other events that are deemed an emergency by the Greenwood
Village Police Department. All land-lined telephone numbers located in the boundaries
of Greenwood Village are already included in the emergency alert database so citizens
will automatically get alerts through their land-line telephones.
You can also sign up to receive emergency alerts on any other communication devices
such as cellular phones and emails. The messages will be delivered in the form of a
voicemail, text message, instant message, fax or email depending upon the settings
you choose. Sign up - ace911.colorado.gov
