The Chalfonts Community Board
Our Community Boards aim to bring people
together, create connections, and support and
fund a whole range of projects that improve local
areas across Metroland.
There are three Community Boards covering
the Metroland Life area: Amersham and Villages;
Chesham and Villages; and Denham, Gerrards
Cross and The Chalfonts.
Since they were set up in 2020, the boards have
made great strides in forging strong relationships
with local communities, engaging with local people
to understand what matters most to them, and
working together with them to deliver projects to
benefit their local communities.
The board has worked with local organisations to
provide support to people in long-term financial
difficulty, a new Scout hut, and Christmas hampers
to families not able to afford a Christmas meal.
Current plans include: new bicycle racks;
investigating ways to increase habitats for
pollinators; various litter and recycling schemes;
installation of new defibrillators; projects to support
older people, those with dementia, and younger
adults with learning disabilities; and exploring ways
to make our roads safer.
