The Oasis Partnership -
Improving health and wellbeing throughout Buckinghamshire
The Oasis Partnership is a charity providing high
quality social and psychological support services
to improve people’s health and wellbeing. We
deliver socially inclusive, open access support
for the wider communities of Buckinghamshire,
through pioneering and innovative partnerships
and initiatives. Offering a range of services to
benefit many and diverse communities, we provide
support to people of all ages.
Our mission is to improve quality of life by reducing
disadvantage, isolation and loneliness and
increasing skills, confidence and wellbeing. We
take a holistic approach to people’s health and
wellbeing, and believe that social prescribing is
vital to connect people with community groups,
providing emotional as well as practical support.
Oasis services are available across
Buckinghamshire, with main project bases in
Chesham, High Wycombe and Aylesbury. Through
collaboration and new initiatives, we are expanding
our service provision by delivering training,
employability and education courses, as well as a
variety of groups, courses and sessions promoting
good mental and physical health and wellbeing.
We take a holistic approach, and will be providing
a social prescribing model as a key part of our
delivery, engaging people in our services whilst
connecting people with community groups,
providing emotional and practical support.
Routes to Work Our team deliver high quality
tailored employability programmes that equip
people with the support they need for a path to
sustainable employment. Individual and group
sessions are designed to upskill participants in
order for them to enter into the workplace or onto a
training or education course. Employability support
helps people to develop a CV, gain digital skills and
confidence in applying for jobs. We offer support
from claiming benefits through to starting a training
or education course or gaining employment.
Art Box We aim to build a supportive community
through arts, crafts and group work. Oasis Art Box
workshops are an opportunity to take a creative
break, reduce stress and be mindful. We are aiming
to offer Art Box sessions on a daily basis across our
sites as an opportunity for people to engage with
each other and get creative.
Outreach Working with various organisations
across Buckinghamshire, we provide specialist and
holistic support through outreach work to connect
and help vulnerable people. Our specialism is
substance misuse and we provide motivational and
harm reduction support to clients, helping them
to reduce their substance use, whilst aiming to
support them into treatment and further support
opportunities. We also run the Tech Launchpad in
High Wycombe and as part of the homelessness
hub in Aylesbury to help improve people’s digital
skills.
One Recovery Bucks Substance abuse expertise
is a key part of our work. We work in partnership
with Inclusion, part of Midlands Partnership NHS
Foundation Trust, and support them in delivering
One Recovery Bucks, the adult substance
misuse treatment service. Together we provide a
confidential, free, and easy-to-access service to
anyone living in Buckinghamshire impacted by their
own or someone else’s use of alcohol and drugs.
Jubilee Art Project We are keen to show off the
huge amount of creative talent in Chesham and
the Chilterns, and we are working with a range of
venues in Chesham to host creative activities and
exhibitions in the weeks running up to, and over,
the Platinum Jubilee weekend, a four-day Bank
Holiday weekend, from Thursday 2nd June to
Sunday 5th June.
Volunteering Our volunteering projects provide
people with opportunities to gain skills and
confidence, whilst having some fun. Volunteers
add huge value to our organisation and the
support of our volunteers really does make a
difference. We offer training and a wide variety
of volunteer opportunities across all our services.
