The Central Valley Corvette Club was
chartered in 1991 for the owners of the only
real AMERICAN sports car, the awesome
CORVETTE. It's a social organization with
activities that provide enjoyment for the true
Corvette lover.
MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE HELD AT
6.30 P.M. ON THE 3 RD MONDAY OF
EVERY MONTH AT YOSEMITE
FALLS CAFE, 4020 N. CEDAR AVE,
FRESNO CALIFORNIA. INTERESTED

THAN WELCOME TO ATTEND THE
MEETINGS AND MEET OUR
MEMBERS.
Club activities include monthly meetings,
car shows, weekend Club activities,
overnighters, picnics, road rallies, summer
cruises, holiday get-to-gathers and more!
Eligibility for membership in CVC is defined
in Article III, section 1 of the bylaws in part
as follows: "Membership in Central Valley
Corvettes shall be open to all Corvette
owners who are sponsored by a member in
good standing. Additionally, a prospective
member must, within a three month period,
attend two consecutive meetings, participate
in two club sanctioned
social activities, pay current membership
dues and initiation fees, and be approved by
two-thirds vote of membership present at a
general membership meeting by secret ballot.
Sponsors shall be responsible for advising
prospective member of results. All members
must submit proof of personal insurance in
accordance with California State Law upon
application for membership, and all members
must be a member of the association
providing club liability insurance for
CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES.
A prospective member who does not have a
sponsor will be provided one by the
membership committee. Non-members may
not participate in more than three meetings or
two sanctioned activities as per CVC Bylaws.
CVC membership dues are $67.00 plus an
initiation fee of $35.00. Membership entitles
two members at the same address voting
privileges at meetings (provided they are in
good standing) and membership rights.

….... a word from our President
The state of CVC is strong! When we add more chairs for our monthly meetings, we fill
them up. If we keep heading in that direction, we may be looking for a larger meeting
room. Our long time and new members make CVC great and continue to move us
forward.
Recently it seems like the weather does not always cooperate when a run is planned. The
rain held off until we were heading over for dessert during our Oakhurst El Cid
restaurant run. During Mike's President's run we had a lot of rain the first day. We were
lucky and missed the snow in Williams that fell the night before our arrival. I was
hoping for more snow the night we spent there for a nice picture of snow on our cars,
but the storm had ended. The roads were clear and we had a great time.
I would like to thank those members who are planning future events and runs. Without
them our club would not be very exciting. We would not be doing much more than
attending our monthly meetings. If you have any plans for an event or run, talk to Keith
and get it on the calendar. There are plenty of dates available. It's nice to see movie night
and other events coming back.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT by JULIE SONS
It was so nice to see so many of you at our March
meeting and I want to begin by saying I was a bit
discombobulated at the meeting and I wasn’t
myself…. or maybe I was and I just don’t want to
admit it! Anyway, I should always look at the humor
in life even if it’s at my own expense. We had so
many visitors and I had a lot on my mind.
There were 44 members and 15 guests (59 total) in attendance at the March
meeting. Our guests included:
‣ Mike and Stacy Stanger (’21 Cyber Gray) – Who are now our newest CVC
club members, and voted in at the March meeting.
‣ Armando & Rachael Garcia (’16 White) – 2 nd meeting.
‣ Jimmy & Jody Webb (’22 Rapid Blue) – 2 nd meeting.
‣ Dan Resciniti (’22 Hypersonic Grey) – 2 nd meeting.

On behalf of the entire club members we want to say welcome to Central
Valley Corvettes Club meeting and we look forward to you joining us at one
of our fun filled activity calendar of events.
Mitch Koligian & Margaret Tejerian were absent at last month’s meeting so we
presented Mitch with their new membership bag. Margaret was not in
attendance.
At the end of the month of March our membership stands at 80 members due
to the sad passing of member Jeff Levine.

CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES GENERAL MEETING
MINUTES of March 21, 2022
President Jeff Engelman called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. Jeff welcomed the Members
and guests. Jeff praised Members and Guests that so many were able to attend the meeting.
Secretary Debbie Garrison – Read the Minutes of the February 21, 2022. Jeff asked if there
were any additions or corrections to the minutes, there were no corrections. He called for a
motion to approve the minutes Mike Lebda made a motion and Tom Piercy seconded the
motion.
VP of Public Relations/Membership – Julie Sons conveyed the sad news that longtime
member Jeff Levine has passed away. His partner Sarah Decesari will be moving to South
Carolina to be with family. Julie introduced guests Armando and Rachael Garcia, Jimmy and
Jodie Webb, Mike and Stacy Stanger, Kay Lynch, Bruce and Sheri Garlock, Richard Lee and
Nancy Hanson, Earle Phillips, Dan and Caran Resciniti and Robert Still to the Members. Dan
and Caren Resciniti have completed their two meetings and attended the Sanger Car Show and
after the Clovis Parade will be eligible to be voted on at the May General Meeting. Julie
announced the March birthdays and anniversaries. Congratulations to Mike and Obdulia Percy
our anniversary winners.
Treasurer’s Report Dick Danielsen – Dick did the Treasury Report with an accounting of
deposits and checks written and current balance. Copy is attached. Stephanie Engelman sold
$345.00 in raffle tickets for the March meeting. Julie asked for a guess from members of how
many total years married of our anniversary couples, the total was over 1000 years.
VP of Activities Keith Garrison – Thanked Members and guests for coming to the meeting and
the activities. Keith asked how many Members read the Newsletter and how many had read
the meeting reminder email sent out so we can gauge best way to get information out to the
Members. Keith asked for report of past runs, Charlie Fosnaugh gave a report on Sanger Car
Show and Jeff Engelman reported on the Spring Foothill Run. Run leaders reported on their
upcoming runs. See the Activities List for a full list of upcoming runs.

Parliamentarian – Mike Lebda – nothing to report.
Newsletter Update – Mike Lebda stated that the deadline for articles, reports, flyers, or
pictures is the after the Never Too Late President’s Run.
Sunshine and Clouds – Linda Laningham was out due illness. Debbie Garrison canvassed the
room for have Members share the happenings in their life.
Sergeant-of-Arms – Chuck Laningham was out due to illness. Jeff declared it a No Badge Fine
night.
Next General Meeting – Yosemite Falls Café, Granite Park, Monday, April 18, 2022 at 6:30 PM
Next Board Meeting – The next board meeting is March 25, 2022 at the home of Jeff
Engelman at 10:00 AM. Please let Jeff know if you plan on attending.
Meeting Adjourned – Jeff called for meeting to be adjourned Lynne Henenfent made the
motion and the motion was seconded by Janet King. Meeting was adjourned at 7:31 PM.
Raffle was conducted by Mike Henenfent and assisted by Kim Fosnaugh and Kathy Marine.
Raffle prizes were donated by Comers. Danielsen, Derringers, Dukes, Engelmans, Fosnaughs,
Garcias, Garrison, Henenfents, Hendersons, Jarvis’, King, Lebdas, Olsons, Peluso, Renna,
Severances, Sons and Stanger.
Congratulations to our $50.00 winners the Mike and Mary Lou Lebda and Larry and Janet King.

EVENTS CALENDAR
APRIL 2022
The attendance was great at March Meeting, it was great so many friends new & old.
March 12th Charlie Fosnaugh led a group to the Webber Car Show in Sanger. It was attended by Charlie and Kim
Fosnaugh, Dale and Sue Comer, Bob and Kathy Marine, Jeff Engelman, prospective members Dan and Caran Resciniti,
Jimmy Webb and Earle Phillips. The Fosnaugh’s son-in-law Bryan Wallert and granddaughter, Kylee brought his ‘34
Coupe and won 1 st Place in Hot Rod Division. Dale and Sue Comer won 2 nd Place Overall in the Corvette Division with
their ’67 convertible. A lot of fun and fellowship was had.
Saturday March 19 th despite the threat of rain Jeff and Stephanie Engelman led 15 cars on the Spring Mountain Run
through the beautiful green foothills. We had lunch at El Cid’s in Oakhurst where we ate our fill of great Mexican food.
After lunch we walked across to Reimer’s Ice Cream for a sweet treat. It started sprinkling just as we left. If you didn’t join
us you missed a great run and a lot of fun.
By the time you read this the Never Too Late President’s Run led by Mike and Mary Lou will be in the books. We will have
traveled to Laughlin then to Williams for a train ride to the Grand Canyon. Back to Laughlin for a mystery activity, more
about that when we find out where we are going.
On April 6 Don’t miss our first Movie Night in two years! We’ll meet at Pielogy for dinner then go across the street to Maya
to see The Lost City with Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, and Daniel Radcliffe. This will be a fun one! See all the details
on the flyer here in the newsletter.
We still don’t have any lunch or dinner runs on the agenda. Plan a run to your favorite restaurant, contact me with a date
and I’ll put it on the schedule.
We have the Caruthers Car Show scheduled on April 30 th . Sign up and shine up your ride! Let’s get going!

Donuts & Coffee from 7:45 to 8:00 am - No later than 8:00 am, Saturday morning.
We leave at 8:05 am to the parade staging area (Barstow, just west of Sunnyside).
We MUST be in place on Jefferson before 8:30 am as they close all of the streets in the area.
We will wait on Barstow approximately ½ to 1 hour until we are called on to line up.
Parade Theme: “HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!
Wear/Bring: You’re CVC Cap & CVC Shirt / “HAPPY DAYS” Car Decor, Water, Chair, Umbrella, etc.

Lunch:
ABSOLUTELY NO BURN-OUT OF TIRES. If one car spins its tires, we will all be escorted off
the parade route and never be invited back again. No throwing of candy or trinkets.
(Only walkers may hand out goodies). Yes, you MAY honk, wave, smile and sing!
