EDITOR
Welcome to issue 53 of #Shill zine - the most read Solana ecosystem zine on the planet.
A pretty exciting week for #Shill zine minting too much for the vault. A couple of Ministry of Art
Keys, a LowbrowNative piece, 2x Hersoid pieces (one raf - much appreciate that one Hersoid)
and then aped into some shit that I am sure I’m going to regret.
A couple of weeks back we invested in SolSwatch nft that gives full access to the sols.watch
website. A fabulous tool that I am really enjoying. Having a couple of CyberVillainz nft also gives
access to the Dolphin suite of tools. Add to this the NFT LIVE function of Solscan (free) and
team it all up with Solsniper tools and you have yourself a new rabbit hole that you will not climb
out of!
This week in Solana NFT, it seemed to be a slow for offerings. It took longer than usual to curate
the pieces for this issue. There were 5 or 6 that I thought ‘nice, drop that one in’ but they had no
social media link. Scrapped. Three that DID have social media had ‘suspended’ accounts! Red
Flag there!
I dropped into the Holaplex spaces on Thursday, they were talking about their new features on
the platform. Sounded promising and the handful of NFT artists in the chat were happy to see
the features added. Too little too late? I went over to holaplex.com to check out the action. Thin.
And again, many of the artists don’t link back to their social media account. Where will Holaplex
be by mid-year?
A couple of very interesting articles in this issue. Sit back, kick your feet up and give them a read.
There’s alpha in these pages.
We finally managed to wrangle AussieNFTGuy for an interview. This Australian is amazing and
pretty full-on. Read about his ride in the Solana space and make sure to give him a follow!
ChestFinance (Defi Pirates) who #Shill zine has included since Nov 2021 has launched their
game preview (page5). Launching 9 May, 2022 this looks like it will set the standard for other
games to match. It’s a game for Defi where you can interact daily OR have the option to just
stake your NFT and visit weekly to harvest. A win-win for those that aren’t really into gaming and
more into investing.
Finally, the video from Whalesfriend on page 22 should be mandatory viewing. Could this be the
future of Solana marketplaces. Make sure to watch the video. Well worth the time.
Peeps go fix up your profiles on exchange.art and holaplex ffs! And why the fcuk do you block
on Twitter? #ngmi!
Fantastic NFTs from newcomers and mainstayers. Come on #frens show the love. Hit the artists
up on Twitter. Tell the writer’s you read their articles. Give back a little!
As always, show your love on the Twittersphere with a simple retweet.
Enough said. You know the drill. Let’s f go!
@NFTArtistCheriW - https://linktr.ee/adeepstateofmind…
Art will, and always has played a huge part in Cheri’s life. It runs
deep within her family’s blood. Originally drawing early inspiration
and from her aunt, who’d been featured in many galleries & museums.
Cheri is turning 54 on the 27th of this month! (HAPPY EARLY BIRTH-
DAY!!. That means she’s been creating art for half a decade. How incredible!
She mentioned resonating with a younger, male centric crowd
has been difficult. We think she’s doing an incredible job.
6
SHILL Issue #53

Our favorite of her recent releases is “The Painter”, a hand-painted
acrylic piece. We’re very much looking forward to seeing her next reveal
of these abstract paintings. Her next three are part of her ongoing
collection, “Fear & Loathing”.
Inspired by her fascination with true crime, this collection focuses
on archetypes of those who commit heinous crimes & acts. A few creations
she’s proud of are “Birth Reich”, “The Night Stalker” & “Inner
Demons”.
SHILL Issue #53
Cheri really creates with a wide range of mediums, ranging from
painting, all the way to poetry. The main two for web3 being acrylic
painting & collage. Stating, “They are both equally challenging and
tap different areas of my creativity.”
Cheri’s a mother of 3 kids, and a grandmother to four. She would love
to see more women confidently join this space, & we couldn’t agree
more. We can’t say this loud enough, WE NEED MORE WOMEN CREATIVES &
BUILDERS IN OUR COMMUNITIES.
It saddened us to hear she currently struggles with 3 separate autoimmune
diseases. That’s got to be intensely difficult, especially with
the last few years of this pandemic we’ve all been succumbed too. Happy
you’re still moving forward, head strong.
8
SHILL Issue #53

To see an artist put in the amount of effort Cheri does into creating
her art & putting herself out there, with such severe underlying
health conditions, is quite respectable and inspiring. Thank you for
continuing to create through your struggles, we appreciate it.
Today @NFTArtistCheriW is auctioning off her piece, “Beezlebub”, a
1:1 acrylic painting, minted into her “Fear & Loathing” collection. A
piece to keep tabs on, as her last few pieces have all sold in this
collection, quickly.
Cheri and her husband @chaos_view create together leisurely in their
free time. We look forward to learning more about him in the future.
To begin with let’s learn a little bit about who you are.
I began getting involved in NFTs in early September. My first mint was actually Trippy Bunny Tribe. I
paid 1SOL and later sold it for 25SOL. That was a huge amount of money for me at the time so I was
instantly hooked on the potential of earning more with NFTs.
I got a few mates who are interested in NFTs and even my girlfriend has started getting involved too.
What brought you to nft’s?
I can’t exactly remember how I got involved but I do remember I
got involved because I wanted to earn money outside of the job
I had back then. I was working as a delivery driver for a bakery
earning $400 a week at the time.
You could have easily taken on an nft project on the Ethereum
platform. Why Solana?
I almost started with ETH actually but I didn’t have enough
income to be paying expensive gas fees. The first NFT I almost
bought but luckily didn’t was SolBears. I was following Alex
Becker at the time and he was one of the influencers I watched
at the time on YouTube.
Apart from Twitter presence you also have a Discord presence.
How do you see your involvement across these 2 social platforms?
Every person aspiring to get involved needs 2 things. A Twitter
account and a Discord account. That’s it. Of course I use them
every single day. I honestly can’t remember the last day I didn’t
open both of the applications.
Obviously I’m mainly on the DeGods discord server, but, besides
that I involve myself with other projects too where I am just a
holder so I’m in those servers as well.
I use Twitter daily to either shit post about jokes and beer, or, to write helpful alpha posts too for my
followers. It’s usually a split screen kinda thing. I’ll be using Twitter one moment and just jump into
Discord the next moment.
Can’t go without them to be honest.
It had to be skydiving. I dressed up as a DeGod too and it was super sick.
Like many people across the Twitterverse
I have been following all
the stories you have been putting
out there- real and raw. Your
most recent adventure, skydivingtell
us a little bit about this.
The only thing I remember was
telling myself was do something
fucking crazy.
I had already said DeGod 10,000
times, ate 100 nuggets and had a
tattoo so I thought what next?
I was so stoked and pumped once it was done and eager as fuck to share it with everyone. I remember
when it got posted on Twitter and everyone went fucking nuts.
24
SHILL Issue #53

The DeGod community has always been a strong community
from the start, and it only continues to grow stronger
and stronger as we move forward.
Apart from DeGods do you have other NFT projects that
you are keen on? What sets DeGods apart?
I think the team at DeGods is what has been the “it” factor
so far. We have so many extremely talented people working
on the project and it’s fucking amazing to be involved.
Other projects I like are DAA, Cets On Creck, DeFi Pirates,
Stoned Apes, Famous Fox Federation and Blocksmith
Labs.
I am sure there are quite a few of us that are thinking,
“how can you top that?”
Yes. There’s more crazy shit coming. Stay tuned.
#Shill zine thanks you for your time. I possibly missed
something you were/are really keen to mention. Care to
share?
I think one tip I wanted to share with readers is to be patient.
If you’re not patient then learn to be patient.
There’s many NFTs I have held that if I were a little more patient I would have been 10X better off.
Don’t allow your emotions to affect your trading and if you have conviction in a project, remain patient
and reap the rewards when they deliver on their roadmap.
Fearless
@DJTRIXUK
A smol thread about FBC. Not many people know 1 of the main reasons I was driven to make @Fearless_Bulls
succeed... I can be competitive mf, sometimes driven by proving a point. Pre-FBC I’d been working with an .ETH
DAO on an NFT collection. I advised them the mint on SOL.
The .ETH DAO voted against SOL in favour of minting on Immutable. The drive to prove these guys wrong about
that vote was strong and I put everything I had into FBC. It was fun to drop back to them 6 weeks (still hunting
for devs) to tell them I silently made a project.
30
SHILL Issue #53

Now we have more haters to prove wrong.
For the last 10 weeks my focus was the building the foundations for the largest DAO NFT Fund in Solana. Total
rarity adjusted value increased 24% in 2 months. We have some rare AF NFTs in the fund & we have SOLs. Did
they see this?
This renk 3 @CetsOnCreck will probably some day fetch a good brice at auction, or frectionalisation or OTC or
something.. & who tf knows what’s in these @DegenApeAcademy eggs? The 1/1 @nodemonkeynft is not leaving
the wallet any time soon. It’s very useful. Recommended;
Now it’s time to up the levels with @Fearless_Bulls. I’m a stubborn mf, determined to prove a point. The FBC
team all have that hard-core work ethic at heart. That’s why they were chosen. FBC has a solid roll-out plan. Dev
work has started. Utility for $vBLSH will be driven.
SHILL Issue #53
31

To wrap this up I must send huge thanks to @UnicrisX8// This project would never have happened without Unicris.
I have utmost respect for his integrity, worth ethic, and talents as an artist. After we chatted today, he came
through with day 1 V1 draft of the FBC PFP.
@DegenSwings
@BoryokuDragonz has had a few consecutive lower highs on FP, looking left trying to find potential
areas of support and @SolanaFloor shows these could be 150 sol and 100 sol.
Breaking and holding above 200 sol is key, making higher highs 240 sol would be considered bullish.
38
SHILL Issue #53

Baby Dragonz FP broke a key support at ~32.5 sol printing an all time low(ATL), recovering and
maintaining that FP could give you some momentum to the upside, ultimate test is to make a higher
high breaking above 50 sol, that puts you in a whole different picture.
Someone asked me to chart @Grim__Syndicate. Good chart, similar to those of CETS,
DeGods, FFF etc.. but just kissing 10 sol.
All I care is that it’s been making HL and HH for 60 days, the trend is your friend.
Are these charts showing a pattern of hard working teams?
Hersoid
HERSOID
NFTs
The artist Hersoid (aka Nick Hersey) has been producing NFTs since the start of 2022, but
has been a practicing artist for over 20 years. He studied Illustration at Kingston University,
UK, before working as a graphic designer in London. In 2001 he moved to Brazil with his
family, and began working as an artist full time. His practice covers figurative painting,
photography and printmaking, though his NFTs focus on his expertise as an illustrator.
Hersoid‘s works explore the role of narrative in visual expression- he plays with the inherent
associations we place on visual cues- fairy tale visions of children, animals and mythical
50
SHILL Issue #53

creatures are ‘remixed’ into challenging compositions. Dark or unconventional stories unfold
between the characters. Hersoid‘s experiences as an illustrator inform his figurative style, but
he also uses his experiences as a graphic designer- drawing upon the science semiotics and
the use of symbolism- to underpin his poster-like compositions.
His first NFT collection – ‘Hand drawn and quartered’ – explored this twisting of the
narrative. Taking drawings and sketches made in pencil on paper, Hersoid has aimed to
recreate the feeling and composition of screen printed posters – large flat blocks of tone are
superimposed with drawings and knockouts of colour- drawing on the skills he developed as
a screen printer in his early career.
SHILL Issue #53
51

His second collection – ‘ Not Now Bernard’ – explores the dark instincts and desires that lurk
beneath the surface of the human condition, and that as adults we suppress. The title is taken
from Dave McKee’s iconic 1970s children’s story, in which the adults ignore their child, who
is then eaten by a monster.
As well as exploring the possibilities offered by unusual collaborations with other artists in
the NFT community (Hersoid is currently working with Xeanus Monkeys and Yellow Trash
Can) – he is very keen to encourage both emerging and established artists to explore the NFT
environment, because he believes that the democratic and open nature of this scene allows
talent to thrive that would otherwise by overlooked by Bricks and Mortar galleries. After 20
years in the arts, Hersoid is acutely aware that these institutions can be focused on traditional
pedigree such as elitist arts schools and nepotistic gallery relationships – none of which allow
for new or dynamic content – from less traditional backgrounds – to get the exposure it may
well deserve.
One word — Urkann. This man single-handedly swept DeGods back to 200 FP spending about $400–500k in the
process. This inspires “Urkann(ing)” as verb in SOL lexicon. What a chad.
• Cets on Creck where being crecked as usual this week, raffling off SMB #4737 on the new bleckmarket, at 10 creck a
pop one lucky cet manage to pick up this sexy looking SMB for 60 creck (6 days of staking). In usual crecked fashion
the lucky winner floored his/hers recently acquired SMB for approx. 200 sol, proceeding to buy 2 high-ranking cets
for 100 sol each. Power move? Or clinically insane? That’s some solid devotion if you ask me.
• After solid price movement post mint, Degen dojo acquired rank 22 MAYC for $121,800 USD. Madness, are they
going to raffle this, or is this a long hold for the treasury? Packaged with some stylish art and a strong community,
they are definitely a project to keep on your radar.
• The mighty pirates are making a splash in the Solana ocean announcing the official date for the release of the trailer
“Defi Pirates & The Treasure Island are coming to Solana in April!” set to be released on the 21st of April. After a
few sweeps of the deck, pirates are now sitting steady at 6fp….also the game looks insane! bullish?
• Magnum AI made a statement this week by announcing their new partnership with DeGods, accompanied by a
hilarious animation of Mr magnum AI himself meeting grand-Master Frank in the Temple of Solympus. 1500
retweets later and we got part 2 — two $DUST auctions for legendary Magnum AI NFTs. Floor price jumped on this
Dead Cets — a deadgod cet hyrbid, these derivates are getting seriously creative. With a 0.09 sol mint I’m not quite
millions. His thread breaks down over 5000+ hours of learning and what he has learned from each project he has been
SOL COWBOY NFT
Gun laws remain weak, the Sheriffs no longer hold the manpower to control outlaws. The
current feud that tears apart the beautiful thriving town of Red Wood all started not too long
ago... On just a normal sunny day, Bobby Ray, a well-known leader of The Desperados gang
was riding through the town of Red Wood when he was stopped and ordered to pay a toll for
entering. Bobby Ray looked surprised knowing he has kept the peace for a long time with the
local Sheriff, before he could even ask any questions one of the deputies looked at Bobby and
said “Hey boy there’s a new Sheriff ‘round these party. And we have some new rules. Sheriff
James, wants every known gang member to pay before partaking in what our town offers”
Learning that the town is
now run by a new sheriff
James “The Jackal’’ Smith
who had implemented
the toll made his way into
Redwood. James was well
known and feared in his own
right. Given that nickname
by his former colleagues that
he betrayed shooting his
former gang leaders dead for
a bounty reward. He would
bite any hand that fed him.
His ambition for power knew
no end and somehow, he
had convinced the town of
Redwood to let him become
their new Sheriff. Bobby Ray
shrugged off the request and
replied, “I don’t pay up to no
traitors” and rode past the
deputies towards his favorite
Saloon to grab a drink, little
did he know it would be his
last drink on that fateful day.
Up until this day The Desperados
gang had formed an
agreement with the townspeople
of Redwood - they wouldn’t steal from the people if they were allowed to still use
resources available in town and allowed to still barter with its local shop owners.
After his second glass of whiskey Bobby Ray had noticed the music and people had quieted
down. He turned towards the front of the Saloon and heard yelling from outside “BOBBY
RAYYYY!!!” “Bobby Ray! You’re wanted for trespassing on these lands! Why don’t ya come on
out here unless you’re yeller!” He walked outside with his head held high and his right hand
sitting on the handle of his trusty Six Shooter which he nicknamed “The Testament”. Standing
outside the Saloon were twelve men all wearing badges, with one distinguished figure in the
middle of all of them. Bobby Ray knew that he was staring at “The Jackal” himself after hearing
so many stories about him. The Jackal smirked at him and said “I hate you gang types. You
think everything is just supposed to be handed to you. And now you come on our lands expecting
a free ride.” “You didn’t pay the toll boy and for a Desperado the only thing left to do
with you is give you a hanging!!!” “I will forgive your crimes if you come with us today and
get your gang to pay your toll but double!” Bobby couldn’t call on the Desperados for backup
because he didn’t want the innocent bystanders to be harmed. His gang would turn the
world upside down for him; they were truly loyal met. He wanted to pacify the situation so he
walked towards the Sheriff and his men to turn himself in. As Bobby put out his hands to allow
the men to handcuff him “The Jackal” had a menacing grin on his crooked face - Bobby could
tell he had done a deal with a living devil.
Once he was cuffed he noticed all of The Jackal’s men backed away from him he turned around
to face the Jackal who said “On second thought boy. I don’t do deals with gangs you are all
scum to me.” James “The Jackal ‘’ Smith raised his dual wielded six shooters and shot Bobby
Ray several times leaving him dead on the scene. Once the desperados camp heard of this
injustice they got their supplies ready and rolled into town together, laying waste to many of
the local shops looking for the Sheriff who was in hiding, it seems that “The Jackal” had gotten
away again but for how lone. The gang is now back to its old ways robbing and murdering
the innocent. Many of James deputies left his side and still reside in town trying to defend its
people, they never agreed to murder Bobby in fact they all had respect for what kind of man
he was. No one knows when this feuding over spilled blood will end, The Desperados want
to spill “The Jackal’s” blood and only then will the faithful town of Redwood may have peace
once again. Will you fight for Bobby Ray’s honor? Or will you fight to defend the innocence in
Red Wood? Whichever side you choose you are all feuding as SOL COWBOYS.
MYTHICAL
@MythicalDylan
To my friends that have less than 10 sol,
how to spot rugs, incompetency, scams,
and in general poor conviction projects.
If you’re reading this, chances are you too
have been:
1. Rugged several times
2. Sold the ‘under-promise and overdeliver’ dream
but really was underdelivered,
3. Or was straight up scammed/stolen from.
To start off, we first must understand the
main objective of every ruggy project
builder; to maximize profits. How does
one accomplish this? Make a shit ton of
projects.
If said builders’ track record of their
project shows having gone underwater
several times; it's easy to assume their
next project that is supposed ‘to go to
the moon’ is probably going underwater.
Beware of any influencer shilling said
devs next garbage project.
If it isn’t obvious, you can do a quick test
by asking members of the discord if they
know who's behind the project in the
chat, pms, or even hitting them up on
Twitter privately. There's always someone
who knows someone.
Another red flag is seeing huge ass
twitter accounts posts that have few likes;
posts with hella likes and no comments;
or lotta likes but low-quality comments.
If I were a data analysis kinda guy I would
bring up stats to prove but I’m just going
by what I’ve seen.
Originality. If the collection is (seems) a
derivative; it’s honestly usually a cashgrab.
Think about it; instead of going out there
to work on something authentic, genuine,
or useful they’re making copycat rug
projects in exchange for people's (usually
small accs) money.
Animal/monster pfps, but beings that
give do not inspire people to use that as
their pfp. No one wants to have a rat or
cockroach as their pfp. If it looks ugly, it’s
ugly.
Which leads to another test I like to call
“Simply put, does it look dope?” test.
Would you actually be proud of showing
other people what you own? Pfp-able on
ig or fb? Not really? You aren’t alone.
Anything that treads the lines of being
illegal or ambiguous in the eyes of the
law. No one really speaks up about this
because crypto is inherently like the
wildwest of the internet; where anything
goes. But if we’re thinking about mass
adoption, it matters.
If there is anything else I should also know,
or things that others should be aware of
that I didn’t mention in my post; feel free
to write down whatever you want. Addons,
fact checking, tools, criticism, fud,
“fuck you dylan”, anything feel free!
This isn’t necessarily always true; but
projects that do giveaways in the (1, 2, 3)
bulletpoint or in general your typical giveaway
format just gives off low-quality
vibes and to me seems a lot like a less
premium collection.
New 1/1 Collection Reveal “Shadows Dont Talk” Sneak Peak Of The First Release To
Go Live For Auction On @exchgARTApr “A Shadows Death Bed”
A big part of my life has been dealing with pain, anxiety, depression, and mistakes
from wrong paths taken in life. Rather from dealing with a mother and brother fight
addiction to having brain surgery due to a cyst young in life, every day was a fight but
that fight led me to where I am today after all is said and done. Each factor that may
have seem to make life worse only made me thankful for it for making me stronger
and working to become a better man each day. My love for horror movies and art
since young have always entwined with my love for abstract art. “Shadows Dont Talk”
is my attempt at keeping those elements while blending them still into a abstract
form expressing feelings ive felt in life, situations ive delt with, to hopefully connect
with others that have felt these feelings.
Beauty in abstract art
is so many eyes can see
it and each person still
feel a different meaning
behind the art. If I can just
reach one person with
this collection that truely
makes them feel it, I will be
completely satisfied, its not
about the money but about
me still finding my place
in this world, still finding
myself in my mid 20s just
like most of us through life,
improving my art hoping to
have others connect with it
on a deeper personal level.
Reason shadows are
the main figures in this
collection is because of my
roots with horror because
of the fact a shadow can
stand for so much with
out a single word. I hope
to find true enjoyers of
this collection and will release it by auctions only 1 at a time until the full set of 8 is
complete. I will be putting alot into this artwork from trial and failure to experimenting
with different things while still keeping it abstract in its own ways. If you read this
and check out my art, I appreciate you more than you can imagine. This is only the
beginning of my path. “There’s beauty in the dark”.
KAMPONG
This new collection of 1/1 NFTs is actually
a novel in 13 chapters, the illustrations
for each of which are minted as NFTs.
The 13 chapters describe characters,
anecdotes, situations and memories
that the artist has encountered on his
travels over the last 22 years, through
America, Europe and Asia. These
reminiscences are woven together in
traditional storytelling style, employing
reality enriched by fiction, reflecting
the artists interests in the work of J L
Borges, Joseph Conrad, Milan Kundera
and Franz Kafka.
Though the stories are predominantly
set in his current hometown Kuala
Lumpur, the characters and situations
draw upon a variety of experiences
gleaned from periods also spent living
in Sao Paulo, Shanghai, Bangkok,
Sheffield and London.
Hersoid‘s art is manufactured from
memories, reminiscences and experiences witnessed during his foot-stepping
through the humble everyday and the banal. The minutiae of the everyday feeds his
library of anecdotes, and is woven with characters whose apparent impotence in the
greater workings of humanity only draws his attention ever closer to their fascinating
and relentless struggle to exist.
Anthony Gormley famously collected North Sea salt water for his Royal Academy
exhibition, and juxtaposed it with 30 tonnes of Cornish clay. Such shaman-like
adoration for intangible properties seems a logical focus for an artist to follow, but
for Hersoid, the storm wind collected in a bottle from the Outer-Hebrides feels like
cheating: anyone can make art from such majestic materials, but the true skill is in
appointing similar significance to events and circumstances that through no fault
of their own do not have the majesty of storms or elemental forces but are mundane
and day-to-day.
As such, he gleans his material from the detritus of experience- the forgotten
moments just after an event of significance – the expression on the face once the
cameras have turned away, the discovery of a worthless coin in an empty multi storey
car park. And into this grey his art is to weave, with liberal abandon, the free-roaming
fantasy of fiction- the improbable jostles with the unlikely and the impossible for a
role in his stories. Chapters freely borrow from continents and decades at opposite
ends of his life, and melt into a possibly pointless crescendo.
The 13 chapters belonging to this collection are being written as the project develops,
evolving ‘on the hoof’ as the artist finds them in his everyday. Part One – the first four
chapters – have been collected, written and drawn in the Monsoon season of Kuala
Lumpur.
