Water, Water, Everywhere!
By: Mary Richard / Health Fitness
How many of you drink lots of water each
day? You should figure your natural weight
(be honest!), subtract that in half and that’s the
amount of water in ounces needed
each day.
It sounds like a lot - but really
is not. Our body is made of a
large amount of water and needs
replenishment each day.
As we are heading into the
warmer months, we need to
supplement with good old H2O.
And that does not mean you
can have your other alcoholic
beverages to count as your liquid
number. LOL!
Some vegetables and fruits also
contain a good amount of water,
such as celery and watermelon. But
you will still need that H2O to keep
your body healthy.
Some days I run around and forget to drink water - so yes, I’m guilty
of not drinking enough water those days. I find however, that if I’m
home doing chores, I will put a tall glass on the counter and that
reminds me to drink water.
Please be aware that while exercising, make sure to drink water prior,
during and after your exercises. There is nothing worse than becoming
dehydrated during an exercise and feeling dizzy.
Always, always be aware that
your body needs water.
I personally do not care for
flavored sugary and calorie-loaded
waters, so to me, a slice of lemon
in my water makes it much more
flavorful and a little healthier.
Whatever you feel comfortable with
helping you drink more water do it!
We must treasure our bodies and
help to keep them as healthy as
we can. Enjoy life - as we are not
promised tomorrow.
POSITIVE ATTITUDE
AND HAPPY HEALTH
TO ALL!
