Tours in South Australia

We offer private touring through the Fleurieu Peninsular and to Kangaroo Island in South Australia, during the summer

months - November to April inclusive. Tours start and/or finish in Adelaide, Victor Harbor, Goolwa or Kangaroo Island.

The Fleurieu Peninsular includes the famous wine region of McLaren Vale and the popular holiday towns of Victor Harbor and

Goolwa, which is the gateway to the spectacular Coorong National Park. As well as the wildlife and food and wine tasting, the area

also offers some spectacular scenery- the coastline and beaches are stunning. We can include a range of sights and activities

including penguin tours, wine and cheese masterclasses, beach 4WD’ing, a trip on a Steam Train or a Paddle Steamer and bird

watching, a station tour or a cruise through the Coorong.

Kangaroo Island is an unspoiled island wilderness with over 500km’s of coastline, an interesting maritime history and a variety of wildlife including

sea-lions, fur seals, koalas, platypus and of course, kangaroos. It’s the 3rd largest island in Australia and a third of the island is protected as National

Park and Conservation Park. As well as the wildlife viewing and the stunning scenery and beaches, we can offer sand boarding, sailing, food

and wine tasting at wineries and honey farms and adventure caving as well as wildlife experiences including swimming with dolphins, walking through a colony of sea

lions, the Hanson Bay koala walk and penguin tours.

These areas offer a variety of accommodation types including remote Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottages (Kangaroo Island only), Farmstays,

Luxury Lodges, Heritage Cottages and Modern Holiday Houses. Contact us or visit our website if you would like any further information or

if you would like us to design an itinerary for you.

Safari Guides

Sacred Earth Safaris tour guides have passed the

‘Kakadu for Knowledge’ tour guide’s course and hold

current First Aid certificates. They are experienced

4WD enthusiasts with a passion for nature, culture and

the areas we visit and enjoy sharing their knowledge

and enthusiasm with our clients. The owners of Sacred

Earth Safaris lead the majority of tours, so it’s likely

you will get one of them as your tour leader, though it

cannot be guaranteed.

Passenger Fitness & Participation

Tours are designed for the average fitness so while you

don’t have to be super fit, a reasonable level of fitness

is needed. Having such small groups means we have

plenty of time to do and see everything so there’s no

rush. If you have any concerns about any parts of the

tour or have any special needs, please contact us for

more information.

Mobile camping tours require some assistance, though

minimal, from passengers in order to maintain the

itinerary and maximise enjoyment for all on the tour.

Itineraries are designed to give you the best experience

we can and on some days, especially in the Kimberley,

early starts are needed to do this. Although it gets light

at approximately 5.30 am in the Kimberley, it’s dark by

5.30 pm so we have designed our itineraries to start

early and to be in camp before dark, so we maximise

All vehicles and equipment are of the highest quality and

are well maintained.

it chilled for you. We recommend purchasing alcohol

before the start of your tour as it’s unavailable in most

places we visit.
