WELCOME TO OUR NEW STAFF Kim Smyth has recently joined UCC <strong>Library</strong> team as Assistant Librarian (Collection Services). Kim has worked in Cork County <strong>Library</strong> & Arts Service in a variety of roles since 2005. She has led the management of collections as part of the Local Studies <strong>Library</strong> and was responsible for digitising this collection also. Kim has also held roles as Information Officer in a publishing firm in London and served as <strong>Library</strong> Assistant in Cork Institute of Technology earlier in her career. Kim will play an integral role in developing new collections-based services such as the UCC <strong>Library</strong> Reading Lists Online Service. Kim’s email is email@example.com Dr. Deborah Thorpe has recently been appointed the role of Research Data Steward at UCC <strong>Library</strong>. She now works as part of the <strong>Library</strong> Research Support team. Deborah has a wide range of experience and has previously worked as the Education & Outreach Manager at the Digital Repository of Ireland. She had responsibility for planning and delivering DRI's training programme in digital preservation and data deposit workflows as well as responsibility for planning DRI's researcher education curriculum. TEATIME WITH THE CHANNELLERS David Late Tibette was born in Malaysia in 1960, and lives in Hastings Old Town, England, with his Sidereal Queen Ania Goszczyńska and their three cats, Fairy, Gef!, and Voirrey. He is the UrSource of the Hallucinatory Pop Group Current 93. His hobbies are studying and translating texts from Akkadian, Biblical Hebrew, Coptic, and Ugaritic, and also painting, feeding BirdSong, reading supernatural fiction, and rebuilding Borley Rectory. In his spare time he enjoys building Golems out of the local clay (and so now and then אמת < מת < אמת( UCC <strong>Library</strong> in partnership with the Department for the Study of Religions. This exhibition will run until 24 September 2022.
