DIGITAL SPACES<br />
Over the summer, UCC <strong>Library</strong> began transforming some underutilised spaces in the Boole <strong>Library</strong>.<br />
We are delighted to announce the development of the Digital Scholarship Studio on Q+1. The Digital<br />
Scholarship Studio will provide access to hardware and software that enable new modes of knowledge<br />
building and creates opportunities for students to develop their digital literacy and integrate digital tools into<br />
their learning. The Digital Scholarship Studio will provide access to a wide range of specialist software<br />
including the full Adobe suite, video editing, sound editing, 3D rendering, 3D printing, scanning and more.<br />
The existing equipment booking service will also be located within the space and it will compliment other<br />
spaces within the <strong>Library</strong> such as the VR Digital Environment Lounge and the <strong>Library</strong> Studio.<br />
Q+2 will be the new home for some of the <strong>Library</strong>’s Research Support services including Open Access,<br />
Research Data Service, Scholarly Communications and ORCID.<br />
On Q+3, we will be adding 37 new individual study spaces to the <strong>Library</strong>.<br />
The development of new technology rich learning spaces in the <strong>Library</strong> is part of the overall <strong>Library</strong> space<br />
master plan.
