10.00 – join for stories, music and craft
activities for babies and pre-schoolers.
Reading Group
1st Thursday of every month at 14.00 –
join the group to discuss books you’re
reading or have read. There’s no set
book, just come along and share a love
of reading.
Poetry Group
2nd Thursday of every month at 14.00 –
enjoy reading or writing poetry? Come
and join this friendly and supportive
group to share a love of poetry and the
written word.
Material Girls
Every Wednesday 10.00 – 12.00 – join a
fun, informal social group of like-minded
crafters using a variety of skills and
materials. Chat, exchange ideas and
skills and drink tea!
Summer Reading Challenge
The Summer Reading Challenge
encourages primary school children to
borrow and read six books from their
local library over the summer holiday.
Running from 9th July - 10th September
Free event, with activities throughout the
summer holiday to support the challenge.

Volunteer Opportunity
Truro Community Library is also looking
for children aged 13-16 to volunteer to
help with the Summer Reading Challenge.
They will talk to the children about the
books they’ve read, award their prizes and
medals and help with the activities. Email

Repair Shop takes place at Truro Library on Saturday 6th August and 3rd September
(1st Saturday of the month) on the 2nd floor (Union Place entrance.) Bring your simple every day
household items, Eg, clothing, ornaments, and small items.
