Reading on the Thames, the African Queen
sleeps 12 passengers in cosy, comfortable
cabins. Guests can enjoy fine food and a
warm and friendly atmosphere, whilst taking
in scenic views and the best the Thames has
to offer. The barge also includes a bar, dining
area and sun deck to ensure your stay on
this character-filled home-from-home is a
memorable one. Sail through the heart of
charming Wind in the Willows country and

Cabin accommodation
The African Queen has eight cabins – choose
from twins, doubles, a double superior and
singles cabins. All Cabins have en-suite
facilities and a small window that opens and
allows plenty of natural light in.
Restaurant
While Andy is the host, his wife Bonny is
responsible for the great meals served
onboard. You can enjoy the hospitality and
home-cooked cuisine in the dining area,
where you can indulge in delicious hearty
breakfasts and tea-time snacks, as the crew
serve a mixture of traditional English cuisine
and delicious Cape Malay-style dishes.
