Issue 69 of #Shill zine and mid-way through August 2022. Markets are choppy. The NFT scene is in a
state of wtfawg. The dust will eventually settle. Some will come through. Others will be so battered and
bruised they may never return.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to @Keezerfeld as he launched his first ever 'editions' piece on exchange.art.
All 69 pieces sol out with a part of the proceeds going to #Shill zine. This has occurred once in the past
with @superjimmer donating 0.5Sol to 3 different projects in the space.
Although that is not the intent of #Shill zine, it is greatly appreciated all the same.
Looking ahead, we are about 30 issues away from #SHIIL ZINE 100. TIme to start thinking about that
issue, what it could look like, and what it should celebrate. Ideas?
Dam Zine is working on issue 3 at the moment with issue 2 set to publish any day now. A lot of work
goes into putting together a publication for the broader community. The DAM zine focuses on a
monthly theme where artists submit their pieces as 'editions' with a portion of sales going back to DAM
zine. Well worth a look with many wonderful pieces from many of your favourite artists.
Of course, there is also 'A Deep State of Mind' by @NFTArtistCheriW which launched in May 2022.
A monthly magazine focussing on great interviews with artists and more of the fine NFT art pieces in

#SHILL zine has its own little niche. It's a smattering of everything. Mainstream NFT. Artist's NFTs.
Articles. Alpha. Stats. It has its own little purpose in the Solana ecosystem. Every issue is available on
the Yumpu platform. Every issue a snapshot of where Solana was at the time. It's interesting to flick
through some of the older issues every now and then.
Since being wallet drained a couple of weeks ago, #Shill has not invested in anything. We are focussing
on rebuilding what we had which requires a lot of discipline and determination. I'm guessing it is going
to take months to rebuild. And, with each issue during the curation phase there are pieces that tempt
me to add to the #Shill vault but just cannot afford to do so.
Let #SHILL zine stand for what it is. A soapbox for the artists out there that need further exposure but
have not got the means or the time to do so on their own. Share the link with your friends to give the
artists further exposure. Retweet so that #SHILL zine can grow to 10k views per week.

HGE.SOL and Kais relationship worsens after a new exploit
was discovered
It has been an awful few weeks for Okay Bears. What
was meant to be a period of growth and optimism quickly
turned into a nightmare when the “hibernation” site
was essentially non-functional. Worse, rumors spread
that the smart contract on the site made it possible for
a hacker to steal every staked bear. HGE, the biggest
whale in the OKB community, publicly revealed he was
getting harassed in the OKB discord, and Kais was
criticized for blaming the development team instead
of taking it on himself. Things did not look good for the
brand and community-centric project.
But things seemed to be recovering, with the release
of the Founder’s coin, an NFT backed by real gold.
Many, particularly those within the community, really
loved the drop, and there was renewed confidence in
the project.
But the optimism was short-lived as it was discovered
today that the goodie bag that they have promising
for a while now would be further delayed. It turns out
that Shopify page where bears put in their orders for
the goodie bags had a loophole, where a simple username
and password input would allow anyone to order
as many goodie bags as they desired.
The slip-up led to the relationship between HGE and
Kais, and potentially even the entire bear community,
becoming further strained. A few now-deleted tweets
revealed that HGE felt disrespected by the OKB founder
despite all that he has done for the community. The
whale had hired developers to help figure out the issue
but did not receive a “thank you” from Kais or anyone
on the OKB team, resulting in his further displeasure
towards the team at OKB.
It appears that the problems at the project are
deep-rooted and systemic, with mistakes occurring
every other week. Their floor price has now slipped to
the 50 Sol region, a long way away from their 225 Sol
High. One can only hope the team will be able to keep
the sinking ship afloat and bring it back to its former
glory.
Primates tease effects of “Jungle Juice”
Primates have been involved in various announcement
news in recent times, and anticipation is building
on the upcoming merchandise collection that will
be released soon.
They have also been teasing what appears to be an
art upgrade via the “Jungle Juice”. In a tweet put out
today, the above image was attached, teasing the potential
new look that Primates will take on after consuming
the juice.
Although the community was mostly excited, some did
not enjoy the new look, even pointing out how the derivative
created by Infected Mob looked better.
It is an exciting time for the project, and more announcements
are expected soon.
Stoned Ape Crew tease upcoming clothing line
Stoned Ape Crew has begun teasing it’s upcoming
clothing line/merch collection.
The project’s floor price has been steadily declining
since hitting over 100 Sol back in February this year,
and despite the announcement, there was no noticeable
impact on the floor price, sitting currently just under
20 Sol.
That said, many are excited about the upcoming cloth-

ing line, from the sleek design to the absence of obnoxious
NFT logos plastered all over it. One reply said,
“Yep! Stacking that $PUFF I’m here for this. True
definition of clean, summertime swag plus white
socks and the NBs.”
And the feeling is shared by many, that this clothing
line was different, fashionable and of really good quality.
The collection will also have summer specific clothing
items, adding to the variety and depth of the collection.
Suteki launch merch store
Suteki launch merch store where anyone can buy
Suteki themed merch.
Suteki is an anime NFT collection focused on building
a brand. Although they have been struggling post-mint
price wise, the recent announcements have led to
bullish sentiment among holders.
With the merch store, holders are now able to use the
$USHI they have been earning via staking their NFTs
to purchase various clothing items. The floor price has
jumped over 100% over the past week, hitting 2 Sol
late yesterday.

Zion Labs announces Ride, their second NFT project
No news of when the collection will drop but more news
is expected soon. Many are assuming that $PUFF will
be an acceptable payment currency for the collection
alongside USDC as other projects producing clothing/
merch have done the same thing.
Zion Labs announced Ride earlier today. The announcement,
which was made on Twitter, stated that
Ride is a next-generation platform that would bring
skateboarders and fans into the Web 3.0 space. Ride,
according to the tweet, will assist skateboarders in
launching and managing memberships with their
fans. Fans will be able to get closer to and know their
favorite skateboarder through the platform, and skateboarders
will be able to interact with their followers
more deeply while expanding their revenue streams.
Zion Labs is a 777 key collection that has already
launched cypher, an NFT utility tool for its holders. The
collection is currently on floor 6 sol.
Zion Labs also discussed expanding and growing the
Web 3.0 Ecosystem in the thread. Cypher, they feel,
aided the ecosystem by enabling fully autonomous
bots for NFT trading. With Ride, their goal is to draw
people and capital into the space. The team will be
announcing the first skateboarder on their platform,
tomorrow.

After last Wednesday’s auction, I thought I’d give a
little insight into this series and how it came to be.
The idea grew from working on the piece ‘Internal
Conflict’, owned by @JumboJeb. It’s a painting of Saint
Cecilia and Holy Death. Put together from a photograph
of a church ceiling in Santo Domingo and two
renaissance paintings.
Working on the piece, I tried to bring a bright, Angelic,
and hopeful result. But I couldn’t deny myself true
self-expression and the work quickly became the opposite.
After finishing this piece, I began collecting images
from The Met’s online catalog.

Dark Renaissance was coming to life.

I want to give credit where credit is due, but also express
healthy skepticism. FOMO (which often leads to
poor decisions) can be fought with free discourse and
information sharing.

Frank knows wtf he’s doing. He’s a smart and powerful
leader who knows how to rally his troops and create
hype. However, some forget that he’s just a person
like all of us -- he doesn’t have the secret playbook to
success, and neither does anyone else.
If nothing else, I hope this thread helps Frank, the
team, and the community understand the perspective
of a non-holder. This is not fud for the sake of fud. This
is me sharing my perspective to be helpful for both
holders and non-holders.

UTILITY
A combination of exposure from Frank, a killer art
upgrade, and $DUST price rising resulted in a breakthrough
in price.

So they landed on $dust. Now $dust and Dead-
Gods stuck for some reason. The art was better,
but not tremendously so, and the raffling and
auction utility weren’t exactly innovative or new.
Did they get lucky? Probably. But no one would
ever say that out loud.
Would love to hear more from the community, especially
those that have held since < 10 SOL... why was
the parabolic rise not luck?
INNOVATION
DeGods is great at doing the current meta in the best
way -- it makes a lot of sense to me that they would be
valued the highest atm However, their innovation stays
inside metas, rarely pushing boundaries. A few examples
below.
Ex. art upgrade -- before DeadGods, I had seen collections
“upgrade” their art by burning old NFTs for new
ones. The DeadGods approach was smoother, and
the new art is some of the best on Solana. However, it
wasn’t revolutionary, it was just a re-imagination of the
familiar.
Ex. scholarship whitelist -- having an application is a
great way to curate a community that is genuinely
interested in your project. However, this is just innovation
inside the pre-existing whitelist meta; they aren’t

doing anything revolutionary.
Ex. raffles, merch, passive income, etc. Though these
aspects of the project are well-done, they are not innovative
or unique in any way.
This is not to say that lacking true innovation is all bad.
The fp of DeGods speaks for itself, and they have mastered
the art of capturing meta(s). However, what does
this mean for the project when another project comes
and changes the meta altogether?
Perfecting existing metas is pretty low hanging fruit in
terms of innovation. More ambitious goals that have
the potential to change the space take more time, but
they are more resilient. DeGods will have to constantly
shift and react to metas if they continue like this.
COMMUITY
The DeGods community is a glorified army of Frank
stans, which makes it pretty fragile. As opposed to
@SolanaMBS, I don’t think the community is strong
enough to stand on its own through trials and tribulations.
The community is all about “family first.” They are profit
maximalists, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
However, I rarely see community members exhibit any
sort of care about the greater ecosystem or pushing
the space forward.

During the recent exploit, communities like @TaiyoRobotics
and @FamousFoxFed offered a hand to the entire
ecosystem. DeGods was pretty quiet... Caring about
yourself is cool and all, but it’s not a zero sum game we
are playing here.
BRAND POTENTIAL
This leads me to my next point... branding potential.
DeGods gives off major frat boy energy. And that’s perfectly
fine. But this specific, non-inclusive feel does not
generalize well. As mass adoption happens, it’s hard to
see DeGods being the face of Solana.
I personally can’t relate to the project at all. Mass
appeal and historical significance will matter a lot for
community projects in the next bull run. The only real
significance of DeGods is their high price tag -- they are
not thought leaders.
DUPPIES ABANDONMENT
I was shocked to see the hasty rebrand from Duppies
to y00ts. Frank “grew to hate” Duppies before it even
launched -- that doesn’t give me confidence that y00ts
will go any differently.
I appreciated the honesty about the rebrand and
reasoning behind it, but I would prefer a leader/project
who makes intentional, calculated decisions instead
of rash ones. It seemed Duppies was not thought-out
enough to start marketing.
Y00TS IMPRESSIONS
Though we don’t know a ton about @y00tsNFT yet, we
do know that Frank is taking inspiration from MSCHF,
an experimental art collective. He mentioned this will
likely mean airdrops for y00ts holders.
Again, airdrops are nothing new. I will have to see how
things progress before I can make any definitive statements,
but it would need to be something that’s never
been done before in NFTs to impress me.
I want the best for @DeGodsNFT and @y00tsNFT
-- any success of a Solana NFT is a success for all of
us. However, second collections have often been the
beginning of the end for projects. Frank’s response to
this criticism is usually “watch me” instead of “here’s
the plan”.
I prefer more transparent and open communication
instead of requiring blind faith in a leader. An informed
community can grow together, but a community that
simply follows their leader is an echo chamber.

from a cult. A community innovates and evolves

I agree that if anyone can continue an upward trend after
a second collection in the current market, it’s Frank
and DeGods. But with stakes high and FOMO higher,
there’s a lot to lose as well. Here’s your reminder to
never invest more than you can afford to lose.

Bitcoin is trading over 24,000 and as usual, we can see the bulls coming back from their holes
and are enthusiastic whether it’s your timeline or the Discord servers you are in and with this
enthusiasm comes the FOMO factor which will again make a lot of people lose their portfolio
trying to catch the bottom.
However, $SOL above 40 and a general bullish sentiment always help the projects which go for
mint during these phases and there is one such project going for mint today and this has some
great things to offer or as they say, “nobody does better than them”.

an alpha-hunter to claim and provide WL Opportunities without posting screenshots showing
your DAO Proofs.
AUTOMATED PROCESS
Here Beneath Labs will provide you guys with automated tools such as:
Auto listing which will enable you to automatically list your NFTs based on the qualification of
the parameters you will set for yourself which may include anything such as the crossing of the
floor at a certain level or a specific volume meter, etc.

As I have mentioned earlier, the NFT Art will include 5 different factions and each faction will

The art of the NFT is somehow giving me the vibes of vandal city art but unlike vandal, it is
inspired by anime and is right facing.
The Website of the project is also good and in one word it is professional.
ENGAGEMENT
Talking about engagement, Beneath is the most talked about mint of today and clearly in a
bullish environment when you don’t have a lot of competition there is a good chance all eyes
are on this one.
In terms of number, the Twitter account of the project has around 7,000 followers and they
have made around 62 Tweets which is a really low number keeping in mind the first tweet from
the account came on the 3rd of June.

When we talk about the quality of tweets they have made, I would say they don’t have posted
many giveaways to farm engagement and have used their Twitter Handle to show sneak peeks
of their art and inform the people outside their Discord about what the project is building.
The Discord server has got around 8,000 members and they are clocking on average 300 reactions
per post, which is quite a low number keeping in mind that they have a 3500 Supply to
sell out.
The project is going to mint via tokens, and they have listed their tokens on the FFF token marketplace
the demand is not there for the tokens and the floor price is also down the drain.
To conclude I would say that the project is not going to do something which has never been
done in this space before and is not going to build some exceptional utility around the project
because all the things are being provided by a lot of tool-driven projects out there and mostly
for free.
However, the thing that makes them stand out is the fact that they have introduced a DAO
FACTION LEADER concept in their roadmap where each Faction will have its leaders, being
chosen amongst the community members through various contests.
After that, each of these factions will have a separate wallet which will be in the control of the
faction leader, and those faction members can decide how to spend the money in that wallet for
the benefit of their community.
Another thing that I liked is their supply and cost combination, they have done their homework
after looking at the performance of their fellow analytical tools projects last month.
At last, one thing to take care of if you are going for a quick flip is that the demand is somewhere
on the lower side as of now, it might come back up during the mint time, so make sure
you don’t pull the trigger without analysing the volume and the engagement.

In the past few weeks, we haven’t seen any significant movements in the cryptocurrency market,
even though some investors were trying to trade the news of the CPI meetings, they all
took losses and BTC was back to the range it was trading in.
While all this was happening in the crypto market, Magic Eden witnessed some significant
volume inflows because of a few projects and we even saw it in the 6 figures again, however,
that volume didn’t stay there for a good time and the daily volume mark has again reached to
around 60,000. But all we can gather from this is there are people out there who are willing to
invest their money and are just waiting for the right time and the right project.
By right projects, I don’t necessarily mean projects with great fundamentals but projects who
have managed to bring in the investor’s trust that they are the next big thing.
Well, we have something for today, not sure when I say that they have the investor’s trust, but
the numbers say so. And if you think that we are past the “Large Twitter Following” or “Big Discord
Numbers” projects, well we are not because Alien Trippin’ High is going for mint today and
the numbers they have achieved on their socials its quite fascinating for a bear market.

Alien Trippin High as a project will be driven by its community and the roadmap of the project is

The first aim of the team is going to build a fashion and a cannabis store where not only their
holders are their customers but also people from outside the NFT space which they believe
they will achieve by creating a synergy between the team and the community. Holders will also
achieve a revenue share from the brand being built.
Experiences
As I said earlier, the team aims to provide different experiences to its holders, one of the things
they did was the “ATH Wheel” where they allowed their discord members to spin the wheel for
free and win prizes which includes NFTs and $SOL.
Events & Showcases
Here the team will present the brand of ATH in every conference or meet related to NFTs.
Not only this but the team has also mentioned that they will evolve their roadmap in the future
as per the needs and wants of the community and that they have things like, Airdrops, Tokenomics,
and Staking in plans.
ART
Now since it is a community-driven project, the art needs to be something that the community
flex on their socials so that new investors get attracted to the project. And I am not impressed
with the NFT Art and one of my concerns is that the supply is too big to ignore the fact that

However, talking about their website, is something that has impressed me a lot and it is evident
that the team has put a lot of work into there.
One more thing I loved about the website is the fact that the team has showcased the fan art of
their community members on their website with their discord name and tag included, which is a
good way to tell their investors that yes they care about their community members.
ENGAGEMENT
In terms of engagement the team of Alien Trippin’ High is clocking great numbers, the numbers
that were the last scene during the mints of Great Goats, Vandal City and Wobblebug.
On Twitter, the project has almost 100,000 followers and they have made around 79 tweets
and they have done multiple AMAs with a lot of well-respected projects in this space.

The follower count of the project was much higher, however, as per their tweet they have managed
to ban all the fake followers and the follower count of the project is mostly real.
Speaking of their Discord, the server has around 84,000 members and again the team has
claimed that they have managed to ban over 30,000 bots from their server.
This is a great thing that the team has openly shown its disinterest towards the number of botted
followers they have and that they are working endlessly towards fixing it.
In terms of the numbers of engagement, the team is clocking over 4000 reactions per announcement
and over 1500 reactions per post in sneak peeks.
One more feat the team has achieved is that they sold out their first NFT Merch in 50 seconds.
To conclude, I would say that in the last 1.5 months this is probably the best project that is
coming to mint on Solana in terms of “engagement numbers” that they are clocking, and why
I am saying this is because even if the engagement is botted or not real it attracts people and I
am sure almost every active member of the space is looking towards how the mint of the project
went.

Also, the team has already done things that can work as a trust builder, they have sold out their
first NFT Merch and they have built a free Wheel Spin to reward their active community members.
If you have a whitelist in the project, like always make sure to analyse the demand kicking in
at the last moment before jumping on the train. However, make sure you have enough time to
mint because the team has announced that they have overallocated the whitelist spots.
One more thing I would like to say is to wait till the mint gets over before you think of sniping
some good ones on the floor.
Also, if you are a whitelist, make sure you don’t list the NFT right after minting because the royalties
will be set at 95% till the mint gets over.
