This is not the case.In areas where crime is reported, no matter how petty ortrivial, the report from the public is logged. Using this dataa picture of crimes or anti social behaviour occurring in aspecific area is created. This allows the police to pinpointwhere and when certain crimes or anti social behaviour ishappening. Using this information, the Police are able todeploy their resources accordingly. For example, if there were reports of anti social behaviouror vandalism between 6-9pm at the weekends in a specificlocality, the Police would ensure their presence in thatlocality for a number of weekends. In the first instance toestablish facts and in most instances to give a verbalwarning but that’s not to say they would not press chargesif necessary. So keeping our village safe is not entirely down to thePolice. It’s down to individuals or groups to make thenecessary reports to the Police using the 101 facility.Certainly DO NOT take matters into your own hands asthat is illegal and may cause you further problems! If it’s not reported, it won’t get sortedHelpful Numbers to cut out and keep handyContact for Camelford Police -Camelford@dc.police.ukReport a crime or anti social behaviour - phone 101or email 101@dc.police.ukReport noise nuisance - 0300 1234 212or email publicprotection@cornwall.govDrug litter - 0300 1234 141or email www.cornwall.gov.uk/needlesGraffiti, flytipping, dog fouling -www.cornwall.gov.uk/report-itAddaction - www.addaction.org.uk
