Good Relations Week 2022 Derry Strabane

Good Relations Week 2022 will run
from Monday 19th to Sunday 25th
September 2022 and will deliver
a positive message that ‘Change
Starts with Us’ as the annual
celebration shines a light on local
communities taking action to build a
stronger shared society and a more
sustainable future.
The theme for this year’s celebration
is ‘‘Change Starts with Us’ with
a week-long programme of
events that will focus on the UN’s
Sustainable Development Goals
to highlight the political, social,
economic, and environmental
challenges we face as a region.
It will also demonstrate how good
community relationships are
fundamental to enabling us to work
together to promote inclusive and
sustainable growth.
This year’s events will include
workshops, lectures, discussion
panels, podcasts, storytelling and
personal testimonies, exhibitions,
music and theatre performances,
archive video and new short films
and lots more. Plenty of activities
to get involved with across the City
and district.

Sustainable Futures
During Good Relations Week a group
of art students from various schools
will meet and work with a number of
artists/speakers to discuss the issues
of climate justice and social justice,
addressing the urgency to work for a
sustainable future. The pupils will then
create a number of poster artworks
that will be printed and shown in
different sites across the city.

Currynierin residents have engaged
in a participatory budgeting project
in which they decided what ideas/
