6 Operation WARNING WARNING Shutting down the devices in case of frost. 21 Operation • Devices without dosing unit It is permitted to shut down the device when temperatures drop below 0°C. The drain valve (also refer to Figure 4.2/1 on page 12) must be open. • Devices with dosing unit Shutting down the device at temperatures below 0°C is not permitted. This could otherwise damage the dosing pump. 6.1 Display and function selection (overview) 6.1.1 Heater and agitator Info Always adapt the speed of the agitator to the type of feed you use: INFO Slow (Level I): Whole milk, heating phase Fast (Level II): Concentrated milk powder, heating phase Operation/Standby After being switched on, the control for the heater and the agitator is first in standby mode: This prevents the heater and agitator from running when the feed container is empty. After filling with whole milk or water, press control. START approx. 3 seconds to switch on the STOP The heater begins to heat up the feed to the set temperature. The agitator runs at the set operating and pause times (➌ and ➍ in Figure 4.3.1/1). Pressing the key "Standby" operating mode. START again for approx. 3 seconds switches the control back to the STOP Long-term operation Briefly pressing the START function. STOP key starts the "Long-term operation" The agitator is switched on for 5 minutes (fast or slow, see Figure 4.3.1/1). Pressing the START key again cancels the long-term operation function.
