Car Show in honor<br />
of Sean Sabulsky<br />
The Lynchburg Mafia Club is hosting a<br />
car show on Oct. 2 at the <strong>Madison</strong> County<br />
Fairgrounds, 205 Elm St., London, to benefit<br />
Sean Sabulsky and his family. Sean is a<br />
15-year-old London boy who is battling<br />
Ewing sarcoma, a rare form of cancer.<br />
The car show runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.<br />
Registration is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with<br />
the awards ceremony at 3 p.m. Wilson Family<br />
BBQ and K Family Concessions will<br />
have food trucks on site. A 50/50 raffle and<br />
silent auction are planned.<br />
The cost to enter the car show is $15.<br />
Trophies will go to the top 30, best of show,<br />
Sean’s choice, best Chevrolet, best Mopar,<br />
best Ford, best rat rod, best import, best motorcycle,<br />
best Jeep, and club participation.<br />
Sponsors are Starr Trophy and Phat<br />
Daddy’s Pizza.<br />
Art Exhibit<br />
The work of Pamela Causey Stanforth,<br />
an author, artist and inspirational speaker,<br />
will be on display in “An Eclectic Exhibit”<br />
Oct. 1-30 at the London Arts Center, 121 E.<br />
First St.<br />
An opening reception is set for 6-8 p.m.<br />
Oct. 1. At the reception, Pamela will hold a<br />
book signing for her book, “The Princess of<br />
Waterfall Castle.” Food and drinks will be<br />
served. The Arendt Sisters—a trio playing<br />
guitar, harp and violin—will perform from<br />
6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The trio is releasing a new<br />
album this month, “Jesus Our Treasure,” a<br />
collection of traditional Christmas carols<br />
from around the world.<br />
Admission is free. Regular gallery hours<br />
are: Thursday and Sunday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.,<br />
and Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.<br />
Spaghetti Dinner<br />
The Humane Society of <strong>Madison</strong> County<br />
has organized a spaghetti dinner fundraiser<br />
set for Oct. 4-6 at Ann & Tony’s Restaurant,<br />
211 E. Main St., West Jefferson. Tickets are<br />
$14 and cash only. Ann & Tony’s encourages<br />
supporters to purchase tickets as early<br />
as possible so the restaurant knows how<br />
many people are participating. Stop by the<br />
Humane Society shelter, 2020 Plain City<br />
Georgesville Rd., West Jefferson, anytime<br />
between 1 and 5 p.m., Tuesday-Sunday, to<br />
purchase tickets. Bring your tickets to the<br />
restaurant between 4 and 7 p.m. Oct. 4-6 to<br />
pick up your dinners. Humane Society volunteers<br />
will be present each day to sell tickets<br />
and help with order pickups.<br />
Fish Fries<br />
American Legion Post 201, 9701 W.<br />
Broad St., West Jefferson, is holding fish<br />
fries on the first and third Fridays of the<br />
month through October. The menu includes<br />
fish, fries, baked beans, coleslaw, drinks<br />
and desserts. Eat-in or carryout available.<br />
