Established in 1972 as a small, family-owned and operated business in Tasmania’s North
West, Fairbrother has steadily grown to become a recognised leader in the building and
construction industry in Australia and have been recognised on multiple occasions through
the National Master Builder awards. Our success in Tasmania has enabled us to expand into
Victoria and also to undertake selected projects nationally.

Your Career Pathway
The Fairbrother Graduate Program is a two-year, full-time pathway that gives you the
opportunity to build upon the knowledge gained through your academic studies. You
will work alongside highly skilled and respected team members, learning and building
experience on the job.
• Contribute your ideas toward new concepts that will lead Fairbrother into the
future;
• Undertake a structured development program;
• Work on iconic projects;
• Contribute to innovation that will shape the future of the industry.

Graduate Program.

Design Stream
Designers are responsible for driving project design, from the concept and feasibility right
through to construction. In this area you will ensure project design delivers the client brief
within budget parameters through stakeholder management, project management, and
change management.
Contract Management Stream
This stream involves providing contract management and administration assistance to the
project management team. You will ensure all contracts achieve or exceed all health and
safety, quality, environment, and commercial measures and requirements.
Project Management Stream
Project Managers provide leadership to the Project Management Team.
You will engage with key stakeholders, build relationships, prepare and manage productive
work plans, and oversee the operational aspects of the project.
Choose your career path
As a Graduate Project Coordinator, you will be exposed to many different areas of our
business including:
• Estimation
• Design management
Estimation Stream
Estimators are responsible for producing competitive and profitable estimates for projects.
You will need to have good knowledge and understanding of market conditions, as well as
the ability to factor in all aspects of a project including health and safety, environmental
requirements and more.
• Contract management
• Project management
• Site management
• Safety, quality and environmental management
At the end of the Fairbrother Graduate Program, you’ll be ready to specialise in any of
these areas, with the real likelihood of ongoing employment opportunities throughout
Tasmania and Victoria.
Site Management Stream
A site manager runs the projects allocated to them, ensuring that construction achieves
or exceeds all project measurements. You will engage with stakeholders, supervise
construction tasks, and ensure all materials are available in full and on time according to
requirements.

Application Process
Applications for
Fairbrother’s Graduate
Program open in March
of each year and close
in September.
Interviews will usually
occur prior to the end of
September, and may be
face-to-face or via video
conference.
Successful applicants
will be required to
complete a preemployment
medical.

Remuneration
Fairbrother offers competitive remuneration packages which are subject to your
location and negotiatiation on acceptance.
